Condo was clean and location was excellent to beaches and restaurants.

My girlfriends and I had an fantastic weekend in Key West. This was a great place to stay for our group of 8. The rooms were close enough to feel like we were all sharing a single house, but everyone had their own space and kitchen. The pool was perfect for our group and the house is close to everything. It was perfect!

Beaches of South Florida

Let's be honest: the main reason people travel to Florida is for the sugar-white sand and emerald-green waters that give life to the Sunshine State's beaches. Like its northern neighbor, Pensacola, the base of the Blue Angels, South Florida is home to some of the best beaches in the world. Since this region is the only part of the continental United States that boasts a tropical climate, beachgoers benefit from plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures.

Any South Florida beach you visit will satisfy your appetite for fun in the sun, but unspoiled beach spots are, by far, the epitome of paradise perfection. Luckily, this region of Florida has plenty of these pockets. If you're in the oceanside community of Fort Myers Beach, be sure to check out Lovers Key State Park. The story goes that the park got its name because the beach was once so secluded that only lovers went to the trouble of catching a boat to admire the area's beauty. While the beach is more accessible now, it's still private and features natural vegetation and mangrove-covered waterways. Home to two bald eagle nests, the park is also a sighting place for manatees, dolphins, and marsh rabbits.

Naples, one of the wealthiest cities in the country, offers several remote beaches that are perfect for uninterrupted tanning or reading. The Clam Pass County Park provides 35 acres of salt-tolerant mangrove forests, rare coastal dunes, and Gulf of Mexico shoreline. Embark on a family adventure by exploring the smallest, shallowest pass on the coast.

Near the northern part of Naples lies the Barefoot Beach Preserve Park. One of the only undeveloped barrier islands along this stretch of coast, this beach park consists of 342 acres of gorgeous scenery. Offering a one-mile nature trail and a picnic area, the park is home to the protected gopher tortoise and some loggerhead sea turtles.

Culture and cuisine of South Florida

South Florida is as eclectic as regions come. For instance, this region is the only area in the state in which ethnic foods are as popular as American cuisine. Miami, the Magic City, is a bustling hub of sightseeing, nightlife, and culinary extravagance. South Beach alone includes hundreds of boutiques, nightclubs, and restaurants, so you can spend the entire day exploring only a portion of this neighborhood. While you're in the area, you might as well check out some of Miami's distinct New World, or Florribean, cuisine, which combines American, Latin American, and Caribbean culinary traditions.

The Florida Keys

Though the island of Key West, where it's common to see free-roaming chicken in the street, is incredibly small - only two miles long and four miles wide - it showcases tons of culture. The island on which Ernest Hemingway's former home is housed, Key West takes much pride in its art scene. The Studios of Key West contains a dozen working studio spaces, an exhibition hall and sculpture garden, and adjoining residences. This setup, established in 2006, is credited as a new model for the artist community. The city hosts many popular annual events as well. One such event is the October Fantasy Fest, which brings, on average, 80,000 visitors to the island every year.

Our vacation rentals in South Florida allow you to experience this region in all its sunshiny glory. On hot summer days (which is any day in South Florida), our rentals offer a cool escape to sit back and relax, allowing you to recharge before your next beach adventure.
