Recent Texas vacation rental reviews

The house is huge with plenty of space both indoor and out. The bedrooms downstairs have their own a/c units and fans which is a must in a humid summer environment (works as heaters in winter). The balcony has a gigantic fan to keep air flowing and bugs away. The owners also confirmed they sprayed for mosquitoes which was a bonus. The kitchen was fully stocked. I used the crockpot, oven, multiple utensils, and was very happy about the extra fridge. The kids loved the pool table inside and picnic tables outside. There’s a place on the balcony of the boat house where you can jump off from the upper deck into the river and there’s a ladder in the water to help them get back onto the deck. They did that over and over one afternoon and into the evening. The river is lined with woods and beautiful houses. If you get a chance to bring a boat, it’s perfect for cruising. We were also able to surf and tube too, there’s plenty of room on the river for it. We had no trouble with feeling cramped or running out of towels or bathrooms or pillows. You feel just far enough away from city life for it to be relaxing and quiet but close enough to a small town if you forgot some groceries. We had an excellent weekend here!

We enjoyed our stay at this home with my 3 kids and family. The home is exactly as pictured and also has a play room upstairs with a ton of toys which were absolutely great for our kids. Loved every minute in this home. We will be back.

The house was the perfect space for my family to stay during our trip. It had enough rooms and bathrooms for everyone and allowed us all the ability to spend time together under 1 roof. The pool was great for swimming and the pier for fishing or just a late night walk.

Texas Gulf Coast

In the Gulf Coast cities of Corpus Christi and Galveston, you can beach comb breathtaking shoreline, eat your fill of Gulf Coast shrimp, and fish or boat to enjoy those gorgeous water views. Separated by about 200 miles of coastline, these south Texas towns offer arts, culture, and a plethora of outdoor attractions.

Inland Texas

Inland about 200 miles, the Central Texas city of Austin is charmingly weird and wonderful. Austin is home to the South by Southwest (SXSW) music festival, the University of Texas, museums, galleries, and a variety of hiking and biking trails along the gorgeous Barton Creek Greenbelt. About 200 miles down the highway, you'll find the town of Fredericksburg's wineries, barbecue, and cute cabin rentals in the heart of the Hill Country.

We also offer vacation rentals in downtown Houston and Dallas, close to both cities' professional sports stadiums and all the dining and nightlife you could ask for.

Everything is bigger in Texas. Come see why with a stay at one of Vacasa's Texas vacation rentals!
