Recent East Tennessee vacation rental reviews

The condo was a lot more than we expected.Place was spotless. Very short walk to the awesome pool. We had absolutely no complaints. Would most definitely stay again.

This cabin is absolutely stunning and perfect for a large group. The views from the decks and the living room were just unbelievable. I could see that view every day for the rest of my life and never get tired of it! And the cabin was icing on the cake. The kitchen/living room area is spacious and so beautifully decorated and furnished. There was plenty of seating for everyone during meals. The kids loved the theatre room and spent lots of time hanging in there. We all loved the pool table and the hot tub. We all were so thankful not to have to fight over who got which room because they were all king sized beds with their own bathrooms. That was amazing! And the bunk room had space for the kids to sleep comfortably. The half baths were a bonus to have extra toilets when the bathroom in your room might be occupied. There was plenty of hot water and the AC worked great! I saw some reviews saying the dishwasher didn't clean the dishes, but they've replaced that and our dishes were spotless! No big issues with bugs or anything being dirty. If I HAD to find some things that could be improved, I'd say that the kitchen could be better stocked. There were plenty of plates and bowls and mugs and utensils, so that was great, but when we cooked meals, we were missing 8x8s, 9x13s, some bigger cookie sheets, muffin tins, tupperwares, pot holders, skillets, etc. It's a huge kitchen, but we just always felt like were were hunting around for items we needed. The floor in the kitchen is super squeaky. So if you're trying to sleep in the bedroom below, it's challenging for sure. I'd suggest some thick runners to help quiet that down. We got to see some bears on the deck during the week, which was maybe slightly startling, but also kinda fun! The mattresses weren't the most comfortable. I found them to be a bit firm, but that's just a preference thing. And the sheets were not soft at all. They were actually a little itchy. None of these things were big issues at all and could easily go without mentioning. Overall it was just the absolute best week with extended family and all 16 of us agreed we'd rent this cabin again and again! Don't hesitate! You'll love it!

Was perfect room & bathroom layout for our group. Was awesome having 2 pools to choose from very close by. And an absolutely perfect location, close & easy to get to everything.

Mountain ranges in East Tennessee

While they’re known by many names—the Great Smoky Mountains, Blue Ridge Mountains, or even the Appalachian Mountains—the peaks of east Tennessee all offer one thing: unparalleled beauty. But if you want to travel like a local, you’ll want to know a thing or two about the hills and hollers.

The beautiful Great Smoky Mountains span Tennessee and North Carolina, and are characterized by their misty, smoke-like cloud cover that settles in the valleys. The Smokies also form part of the Blue Ridge Mountain Province, and are best known for being the home of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, located just minutes from our East Tennessee mountain rentals. Also, the Smokies are a subrange of the much larger Appalachian Mountains, which trail from Alabama to the Canadian province of Newfoundland—an incredible 2,000 miles.

In short, the Smoky Mountains are local to Tennessee and North Carolina—but you may hear folks referring to them by other names, too.
