This was my family first vacation. I would definitely get the Mountain Hide Away again. The location was the Best not far from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The house was Tip Top Shape. Had a really Awesome time

I'll start with the bad (and it really wasn't bad, rather just info that you should know). The driveway is steep! This is coming from a Florida boy where everything is flat. But it was quite an uphill drive to get to the property. I say steep, but you won't need any special off-road vehicle, I made it up with an extremely overpacked minivan, however between the narrow road and the steepness, it was a bit unnerving every time, Now on to the good. The property was amazing! Great views, plenty of space, clean quiet and wonderful location. I could have stayed in Wears Valley the whole trip, its that beautiful, but you are super close to the Smoky Mountain National Park, Pidgeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Eat at Elvira's, I promise you won't be disappointed. Best food the whole trip, we even went back a second time! Our stay was magical, and of course the last day we got to see a big 'ol poppa bear right outside the front door. He didn't bother anything just wandered around and then trotted off into the woods!

The house was perfect. We came to stay for a week because my boys had a football tournament. The house was exactly what we needed for my family of 9. Definitely will be rebooking for Christmas. ❤️

Where are our cabin rentals in the Smoky Mountains?

Technically a subrange of the Appalachian Mountains, the Great Smokies rise up along the border of Tennessee and North Carolina. A section of the Appalachian Trail spans this area for over 70 miles. From rushing rivers and foothills to some of the highest mountain peaks in the Southeast, you'll find much to marvel at in the gorgeous landscape surrounding you.

Outdoor activities near our Smoky Mountain house rentals

Outdoor lovers, rejoice: all your adventuring dreams are possible when you stay in one of our Smoky Mountains cabins. Explore the mountains and valleys to photograph rare wildflowers, and keep an eye out for wildlife. These mountains are home to bears, elk, deer, bobcats, foxes, otters, and much more. Keep your eyes to the sky and you'll glimpse some of the 240 species of birds that live here, as well.

Newfound Gap is a beloved place for a scenic drive or hike, and is just minutes from our Smoky Mountain cabin rentals. In Appalachian vernacular, a gap is a mountain pass, and as you drive along this beautiful area you’ll be treated to jaw-dropping peaks and valleys. A visit in the springtime means beautiful blooming trees in shades of pinks, purple, and white, while summers are lush and green. And of course, an autumn trip to this special place means gorgeous foliage and crisp mountain air.

Experienced hikers will delight in summiting Mt. LeConte, the third-highest peak in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. If you’re looking for a challenge, begin at the Alum Cave trailhead for an 11-mile round trip adventure through this beautiful area. The summit of Mt. LeConte is well worth the effort, where the view spans for miles and miles and features beautiful mountains, wildflowers, and interesting rock formations. At the end of your hike, you can treat yourself to a Smoky Mountain vacation rental with a hot tub to soak your tired legs.

Cities where you’ll find our Smoky Mountain house rentals and condos

The cities and towns that pepper the Smoky Mountains are steeped in Appalachian charm. Only 4,000 people call the city of Gatlinburg home year-round, but over 1 million tourists flock to the area annually. This bustling city is full of delightful kitsch and attractions like Ober Gatlinburg, a ski resort and amusement park with indoor ice skating, mini-golf, a rock climbing wall, and even rafting in the summers.

An aquarium, Hollywood car museum, water parks, haunted house attractions, and moonshine distilleries are just a handful of the other activities that make Gatlinburg so popular. Be sure to browse our Smoky Mountain cabin rentals in this city for pet-friendly options, plus homes with swimming pools, game rooms, and more.

Or you can stay in Pigeon Forge, where there’s still an abundance of activities. Dollywood—the amusement park established by eccentric country singer Dolly Parton—offers Appalachian-themed rides and games beloved by travelers of all ages. The Hollywood Wax Museum, Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Show, an alpine roller coaster, and more await you at these Smoky Mountain vacation rentals.

Experience for yourself just why the Smokies draw millions of visitors each year. Whether you’re coming for a peaceful getaway to the outdoors or a fun-filled family vacation, our Smoky Mountain cabin rentals and condos are ready to host you.
