Recent Toccoa River vacation rental reviews

Cozy cabin that is just right for a small family. Kitchen is small, so don't plan on making huge/fancy meals. Most of our food was prepped ahead of our arrival, so all we had to do was heat everything up, so the kitchen was perfect for that. The pool table area is a bit tight, but still entertained a 10yo boy for hours and was lots of fun. The water in the shower was more than adequate and rather surprising how hot it got, kind of nice when it was so chilly outside. Three beds made night time very comfortable, and being able to sit and enjoy my coffee in the morning out on the deck was great. I think we will try and stay here again in the future, but I do think a few small things should be addressed. Driveway may need to be regraded or gravel added. Very slick after it rained. The hot tub had way to many chemicals. Our eyes began burning within a minutes just from the steam, could only relax in the hot tub for a couple minutes before it was unbearable too stay.

Where is the Toccoa River?

The Toccoa is a river with two names. In entirety, this blue ribbon of water spans 93 miles through the southern Appalachian Mountains, covering two states. The first 37 miles that flow through Tennessee are called the Ocoee River, but as soon as it crosses the Georgia border, its name changes to Toccoa. These remaining 56 miles are where you'll find our beautiful cabins.

Things to do near our Toccoa River cabin rentals

Toccoa means “beautiful” in the Cherokee language, and that’s exactly what you’ll find here: beauty and abundance in nature. Choose from a number of nearby hiking trails that cover a variety of terrain, from picturesque swinging bridges to cascading waterfalls to the sparkling Blue Ridge Lake.

If you’d prefer an aquatic adventure, the lake is a great place to launch your boat for the day. Of course, the Toccoa River itself offers plenty of great places for adventures like white water rafting, tubing, or kayaking. And don’t forget the incredible fishing that the area is so well-known for—Blue Ridge Lake is the place to head for bass, while the Lower Toccoa River is a top spot for trout fishing.

Our Toccoa River cabin rentals are peppered amid a number of quaint towns with cute Appalachian flair, like Blue Ridge, Morganton, and Mineral Bluff. No matter where you choose your home away from home, you’ll be treated to iconic Blue Ridge Mountains beauty with a healthy dose of southern charm. Experience total relaxation amid the rolling hills and rivers of North Georgia with our Toccoa River cabin rentals.
