Recent Hoodsport vacation rental reviews

We loved our Hood Canal stay with incredible views (including a spectacular sunrise!) in this wonderful home. All of the amenities were perfect, and the house was spotless, warm (and cozy!), and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We were able to do some basic cooking, which is a plus with little kids; the market is incredibly close, and there's a great coffee shop that's easy to walk to (with enough space on the shoulder to avoid highway traffic). The house itself is well insulated and we didn't hear any of the traffic from the road (although it was also a relatively quiet time of the year, so I can't speak to busier seasons).

We stayed there for a couple of weeks in November. The lake was stunning and the house provides views in pretty much every room. It was very peaceful and quiet and we got to enjoy otters swimming by, as well as the Northern Lights! The beds are really comfortable, and the kitchen was clean and well stocked. The fireplace was really nice and we had no problems with the WiFi or our phones. Make sure that you follow the specific directions they provide you to the house, otherwise it’s a little confusing to get there, especially if it’s dark. The living room furniture could use an upgrade. As others have noted, the blinds need to be fixed in the bedroom. Also, it would be nice if the heat was on upon arrival, the house was chilly when we got there and took a while to heat up. The house is huge and can certainly fit way more than six people comfortably (it has seven beds!). You are only allowed to have two cars, which caused us some problems because there isn’t anywhere close by to park an extra car…though there is plenty of room to park three cars at the house. Overall, the house was incredible and we would love to experience it in all four seasons.

From the minute I put down my bags, I knew this was home for the next couple of days. A welcome basket of a foil pan, oil, turkey gravey packet, aluminum foil and Turkey Baster was a welcomed surprise. Beds, linens and towels were comfy and amazing. Everything I could want to use in a kitchen was there. Considering I made the thanksgiving dinner from scratch, I was very impressed to say the least. Games, cards, kayaks just made our 2 days together that much more perfect. While I was cooking, I didn’t feel bad for not being down at the beach with the kids because they were right outside the window. Seals and the oysters couldn’t have been closer. Believe it or not, this house turned into our home for a minute and couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
