We took our family of 6 to the Lake Sutherland Retreat for a weekend of relaxation on the water. The house is clean and well taken care of. The kids loved the bunk bed and loft downstairs and the water being so close so they could jump in off the docks, ride the water slide into the lake, and go fishing. We enjoyed kayaking around the lake and having our morning coffee on the master bedroom deck overlooking the water.

Had a wonderful stay with my adult children for Mother's Day. The house and grounds are beautiful, with a stunning view out the living room window. We had everything we needed and enjoyed hanging out, playing games, having fires in the firepit and using the two kayaks to explore around the inlet. Thank you for a wonderful trip!

My recent stay at the cabin on Treasure Island was an absolute delight. Treasure Island is a charming, small island accessible via a one-lane bridge, perfect for walking around and exploring. The location itself is a gem, offering stunning views of the water right from the cabin. The cabin was impeccably clean and well-maintained. Every amenity you could possibly need was provided, making the stay incredibly comfortable. One of the highlights was the backyard firepit, where we enjoyed making s'mores under the stars. We took the kayaks out on the water and were thrilled to encounter playful seals, adding a unique and memorable touch to our stay. The peaceful atmosphere of the cabin, combined with the fresh air, beautiful trees, and wonderful weather, made it an incredibly relaxing getaway. The host was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay, ensuring we had everything we needed. From the moment we took the ferry ride to the island and opened the door to the cabin, I felt my heart rate drop as I was enveloped in the serene and quiet environment. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

Explore the Olympic National Park and Forest

The Olympic Peninsula is home to its own majestic mountain range, the Olympics. Here you'll find natural hot springs for soaking, serene lakes for fishing, paddling, and swimming, and many beloved hiking trails and rock climbing sites. Inside the Olympic National Park, you'll also find the mystical Hoh Rain Forest, where 12 to 14 feet of annual rainfall make for an incredibly lush landscape, with greener than green ferns and mosses lining the forest floor beneath an ancient and dense tree canopy.

The Olympic National Park is an easy day trip from any town on the Peninsula, and a must-see when you're visiting the area. And if you're traveling with a dog to one of our pet-friendly Olympic Peninsula vacation rentals, the National Forest lands surrounding much of the national park have hiking trails that are open to four-legged explorers!
