Nice place, great location but we rented through VRBO and then AFTER WE PAID we were informed we had to pay an "amenity fee" to have access to the 3 Carillon pools (2 of which were closed) and have access to the 7 private Carillon crossovers to the beach (there is an 8th crossover which has public beach access but everyday we had to go to the gatehouse to get the code). Feel totally mislead. Our first time renting through VRBO and probably our last. This was a matter of principle as we should have been made aware of such charges PRIOR TO BOOKING, NOT AFTER. I informed the Vacasa manager that VRBO did not have any notice of such charges prior to paying for our stay (she claimed they were supposed to). I even stayed on the phone with the Vacasa manager and went on VRBO and put in for a reservation and proved to her that there was no such notice of an "amenity fee". She said she would check it out but never got back to me. Again, nice condo, great location, but really annoyed with the lack of transparency in regards to fees.
