This was a mini-vacation and we enjoyed the room and the area. Overall 10/10. We will be back to book with Vacasa again.

Our family truly had the best time on this vacation and appreciated the location of the home Why Not in one of our favorite communities in Florida. We have lots of praises, but some not-so-good reports. First of all, the location is perfect, especially if you have family members that struggle with the commute to the beach. It is roomy, the beds are comfy, and there are plenty of cookware and dishes. There is plenty of lines (towels) and easy to assess. The air conditioning worked wonderfully!! Our main issue was the internet was not stable and would not let us connect on certain devices due to security issues. Occasionally, our cell phones would work on the wifi, but we always got kicked off. We had very tech savvy persons in our group, and they did everything the internet told them to do as far as going online, checking for updates, and security features. What we found out was the router is so old, it hasn't been able to be updated in 3 years. The sad thing is the owner is probably paying for this monthly, and all they would have to do is call ATT and have them send out someone to replace the router. We are terribly disappointed and very inconvenienced now because some of our party had to work on vacation and we used up all our hotspot data and now our data is so slow, that we could barely run MAPS to get home from Florida. We reported the issue immediately on Sunday, and Monday (personal visit to the Vacasa office) and never got anywhere with the issue. I feel we are due a refund for this service and the issues we are having with our phones until the billing cycle ends. They sent a maintenance man by on Sunday, but he was not able to do as much as my son-in-law. The lady at the Vacasa office told me the owner was out of the country and that after talking to her supervisor on Monday when she got there, she would get back to me. She did not. The owner being out of town is not our issue and we are due some compensation as this is listed as an amenity and behind air conditioning, wifi is definitely very important to guests. We were also texted about the cleanliness of the property when we arrived. The floors were very dirty. Our grandchild walked around barefoot on Saturday, and none of us had been to the beach and her feet were black. There is also mold on the shower walls in the secondary bathroom upstairs and on the main floor. We are paying a cleaning deposit and we expect the place to be clean when we get there. The sand was under the sofas, and the chairs in the dining areas could stand to be cleaned. The picnic table on the main deck is great to have, but one end needs to be repaired or an injury could occur. The cushions on the deck need to be cleaned or replaced. The living room furniture was great, and the washer and dryer looked new. The place could use some more utensils like butter knives, only 4, and some sharp knives. if you are coming, bring your own knives for cooking, etc.
We would really love to stay at this property again. But, we should be compensated for the missing amenities. Also, Vacasa didn't really handle it correctly by not getting back to us. The owner is paying for internet, cleaning, and a ho0st and I think they should make those items right for their property. i kept saying all week, what one week's rent put back into this property could do for the aesthetics and value of Why Not... So Why Not??
