We stayed in the regency royal (group of 18) and had an enjoyable stay. Pros— so much space, right on the beach, all the dishes you could ever want, kitchen pantry, huge kitchen, great movie room, outdoor deck space was the best, awesome bar/game room, shower items and hand soap in every room!
Cons— this was the loudest house I’ve ever been in. Every room will hear every conversation and footstep. Light sleepers beware!! The outdoor shower was broken (handle was rusted and broken off) and there was no alternative (hose, etc) so there was no way to clean off sand before coming in the house. Vacasa was contacted but the plumber they sent never showed up. The indoor pool is pretty small and most amenities were broken. The surround sound speakers in movie theatre didn’t work and there’s no guides to use anything. There’s nothing but the basics in this house- make sure you bring every single thing you could possibly need for the kitchen and outside (cleaning supplies, koozies, oil, salt/pepper, all beach supplies like chairs, wagon, umbrella). There’s also no intimate spaces for conversation. If you’re looking to find a hideaway at the house for a small group to talk or play games, look elsewhere.
All in all, beautiful house with lots of space for large groups. Lots of cool spaces to keep kids and adults occupied. However, it also feels like it needs some things that prioritizes the guest experience—could use some small touches, items, guides, fixes that would make it better

The property was better than described, and furnished far beyond our expectations. It was clean, well maintained and on an amazing piece of beachfront with dolphin viewing almost daily! We’ll definitely stay again on our next VA Beach vacation!

Overall, our stay was great! We had plenty of space for our large family and so many things to do right at the house. The distance from the beach was nice, and the view was beautiful both morning and night.
Our only complaint was the neighbor. She’s an elderly woman who resembles a main character from the movie Get Out. She walked into the game area one day and started ranting about the moon. Over the next few days, she began watching us, following our cars, and hiding in places where she could stare at the house. She even ran after our car at one point. Any time we tried to confront her, she would quickly walk or run away before we could reach her. We believe her behavior may have been influenced by the fact that we are not white and were staying in an a predominantly white neighborhood. It was definitely strange and made us feel very uncomfortable…
