The best way to enjoy your carefree days is when the slopes are right outside your backdoor! This cozy roundhouse has been completed renovated (2021) with new upstairs bathrooms, downstairs family bedroom, central A/C, and enlarged parking is the perfect ski-in ski-out location; ski right from the door of the lower family room! Being right on the slopes, you might just fall off the couch with a bellyaching laugh as you watch all the nighttime skiers ‘fly by outside’ through this home’s massive windows. A small full kitchen has everything you need to enjoy an evening with the family and the wraparound deck will give you amazing views of the mountain and early morning wildlife. In summer, enjoy the bike park and scenic chairlift on Memorial Day weekend, July 4th weekend through Labor Day weekend, Octoberfest, and Wooly Worm Festival in Banner Elk.

A ten-minute car ride will bring you to the Foggy Mountain Gem Mine where you can pan for gems with instructors for an educational family experience, or catch some incredible views of the mountains by crossing the Mile High Swinging Bridge and ziplining at Hawksnest. Mystery Hill (18 miles) is perfect for kids and it's a must! Only 10 miles away is Grandfather Mountain and Grandfather Trout Farm (five miles) is the perfect place to try fishing, especially if you never tried it before.
