We’re offering simple policies for reservation changes and cancellations, so you can book your trip with confidence.
Need to reschedule your trip? No problem. You can move your reservation dates with no change fee if you do so at least 7 days before check-in. Or, switch your reservation to another Vacasa home.
For any new reservation, you can cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund.
After that, cancel at least 7 days before check-in and we’ll deposit a Future Stay Credit into your Vacasa account for you to use later. Here’s how it works:
Get 100% credit: You’ll receive credit for 100% of your trip cost (even the taxes and fees).
Feel free to explore: Book the same Vacasa home as before, or try a different one. You can even use your credit for a stay in a different destination.
Take your time: You can redeem the credit for a new trip with a check-in date up to 15 months after the day your credit is issued.
If you cancel at least 30 days before check-in, you also have the option to receive a refund in your original form of payment (minus the booking fee and associated taxes). Head over to your online Trip Manager to request your refund.
Please note that if you choose to cancel your trip with a check-in date less than 7 days away, we’re unable to offer a Future Stay Credit or refund.
If you’re booking a stay in Delaware, North Carolina, or certain locations in Michigan, please be aware that a different cancellation policy applies.
Within the first 24 hours of booking, you can still cancel your trip for a full refund. After that, you have the following options.
You can cancel 30 or more days before check-in by contacting the local reservations team:
You’ll receive credit to book a new stay at the same Vacasa home within the next 15 months.
For any cancellations less than 30 days before check-in, we’re unable to offer a refund or reschedule your trip.
Some Vacasa homes in southwest Michigan include an exception to our standard cancellation policy when you book. (Check the home-specific portion of the rental agreement, before you complete your purchase.)
For these homes, you can cancel 60 or more days before check-in and receive a 100% Future Stay Credit, or a refund minus the booking fee. Call our local reservations team at 269‑775‑0357 or email us to cancel.
For any cancellations less than 60 days before check-in, we’re unable to offer a refund or reschedule your trip.

Please note that there are a few exceptions to this policy, based on booking channel and reservation location.
With a Future Stay Credit, you’ll have a vacation in the bank, whenever you’re ready to travel. The credit is flexible, so you’re free to book the same home as before, or visit a different Vacasa home or destination. The new trip must have a check-in date no later than 15 months after the day your credit is issued.
As a security measure, your Future Stay Credit is automatically linked to the email address used to book your original reservation (the reservation that you canceled and received credit for). To redeem the credit on Vacasa.com, you’ll need to create an account with the same email address—or log in, if you already have an account with that email address.
Once you’re logged in, the Future Stay Credit will appear as a payment option when you make a new reservation.
If you change your trip and the updated reservation costs more than your original one, you’ll be asked to pay the difference.
For rebooked Delaware and North Carolina stays, if your new reservation costs more than your original one, you’ll be asked to pay the difference as well.
A reservation booked using Future Stay Credit must be in the same currency as the reservation that you cancelled for credit. (In general, this means the new reservation must be in the same country as the cancelled one.)
Refunds may not be available for certain reservations outside the U.S. and Canada.
Reservations made on a third-party site (such as Airbnb or Vrbo) may be subject to that channel’s terms and conditions if they differ from Vacasa’s. Please check the site where you originally booked your trip.
