A snowbird is someone who spends the winter in a warm climate. We use the term “snowbird rentals” to designate homes that allow longer stays (over 28 nights).

Florida, Alabama, Texas, North Carolina, and South Carolina are the most common snowbird destinations.

This can vary by location, but snowbird season in the southern U.S. is typically the winter months, December through March. Other markets host longer stays in the summer months—for instance, North Carolina is a fantastic place to find a lake home for the summer.
