Dog-friendly vacation rentals in South Walton County

We utilized Waterdog I as a gift to our bride/grooms parties the weekend of our wedding in February and it could not have been more perfect. It is actually bigger than the photos portray, and the roominess is fantastic with you have 20+ folks. Each room having an en suite is wonderful, as was the backyard. We had plenty of room downstairs to get ready (4 makeup/artists and hair stylists) morning of and overall it was such a calm, convenient stay. We would LOVE to come back in the summer time :)

Well located for beach access and restaurants

We just returned from our second family stay at Driftwood Townhomes 6 in beautiful Miramar Beach, and it was even more wonderful than the first time! This place has officially become our family’s go-to vacation home on the Emerald Coast. From the moment you walk in, you feel relaxed and right at home—spacious, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully equipped for a big family like ours (we have kids of all ages). The townhome is incredibly convenient to the beach—literally a quick 6-minute stroll (or even shorter with the wagon they provide) down to the sugar-white sands and stunning emerald-green Gulf waters. We spent every morning building sandcastles, swimming, and soaking up the sun, then were back at the house in no time for lunch or a quick dip in the shared community pool. No fighting traffic or hunting for parking—just pure beach bliss! Shopping is just as effortless. We loved how close we were to Silver Sands Premium Outlets and Grand Boulevard at Sandestin—perfect for those afternoon retail therapy sessions or grabbing souvenirs. Restaurants, grocery stores, and fun family activities are all within minutes, so we never felt like we wasted any vacation time driving around. It was great that everyone had their own space (a lifesaver with multiple generations traveling together). The kitchen is a chef’s dream—fully stocked with everything we needed to cook big family meals or fire up the gas grill on the private patio for sunset dinners. The beds are super comfortable, and the balcony was ideal for morning coffee with a view. WiFi was fast, the AC kept us cool, and little touches like the Pack-n-Play made traveling with our youngest so much easier. This property is spotless, well-maintained, and feels like a true private retreat while still being in the heart of everything the Destin/Miramar Beach area has to offer. Our kids are already begging to come back, and the adults are counting down the days until our third trip!
