House

We had an amazing time and loved this property. Being an avid traveler, camper and tourist but not a "vacation home renter" I read a lot of the reviews about this property. I would like to share that the basement area, which houses 3 bedrooms and the game/family room is wonderful. There is an atrium window that brings in natural light, the area does NOT have a musty/mildew smell. We spent a majority of our time here playing pool and games at the game table. The fireplace in this area didn't work but it was plenty warm. There is a piano here we could have done without. We had a grew of children and it was hard to keep them off it. The room are all comfy and very nice. We had the little suit over the garage. What a great get away with its own fireplace and sitting area. It is comfy cozy for sure. People did complain about the towel situation. Each bathroom had at least 2 sets of towels (bath, hand & wash cloth), I did not find any extra. We stayed 4 nights, so it was fine but a longer trip of more people more towels would be needed. There is a hot tub, which was used a lot, there are no outdoor towels, I did plan ahead and brought some. There are actually 2 kitchens though the one downstairs isn't set up for cooking. The main kitchen is a wonderful space for family gathering. I did recommend to the property that that add a large skillet, had I known there were only 2 8-9" pans I would have brought my own. You can't make scrambled eggs for 11 in one of those. There was no coffee of tea, but I had also planned for that. There must be over 50 light switches, it became a fun game trying to figure out what went to what. I recommended some instructions to the home, with all the fireplaces, TV's etc. it was a learning curve. We believe there is a sound system connected to the stereo in the basement but never figured out either. All that said, we would go back in a heartbeat! I bet Spring and Fall views from her are spectacular. This place is a must from me, just plan on what you want or need and bring it. Hope this helps, enjoy your stay!
