This is a duplex. Unit A is the first floor above garages, with another rental, unit B above. The left garage has wagons, sand toys, boogie boards, lots of beach chairs, and a beach umbrella for each rental. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. Furniture was all comfortable. The dual head shower was great. TVs included an extra HDMI cable to connect your own streaming box or game console. Our only complaint about the home: we could hear the upstairs neighbors a lot. Bedrooms are upstairs and right below the living room of upstairs unit, so we were kept up by late-night adults talking, and woken early by early morning toddlers running around. The listing mentions no street parking, but that's not true. It's just hard to find available street parking. A note to anyone looking to play in the sand and shallow waves - San Clemente is not for you. All the beaches we visited were a mix of sand and smooth gravel. Look to Oceanside or anywhere from Laguna Beach to Huntington Beach if you want smooth sand. Even if you bring water shoes, waves throw rocks at your ankles.

My husband and I and our family members rented this home as our home base for our wedding weekend in San Clemente. It provided us with space to relax, do work, and hang out throughout the week leading up to the wedding. It's a 10-minute walk to a grocery store, Sancho's Tacos, and Zebrahouse Coffee and also a 10-minute walk to T-Street Beach. The house was clean and we loved the kitchen, dining room, living room layout. The rooms were overall comfortable. There were some things that didn't work while we were there, and that is why I'm not giving this home 5 stars; but at the same time, we didn't have time to reach out to anyone to fix the items and we adapted to the situation and made it work. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

When we arrived everything was clean and ready for us. We were nervous with 6 kids that the beds might be uncomfortable or the space would be too small. It was perfect! Everyone slept comfortably, the laundry facilities were so useful, and we were pleasantly surprised to find beach chairs, sand toys, and boogie boards in the garage. The proximity of the beach house to the beach was great! We could come up for meals and go right back down to play and relax when we were done. The back patio was perfect for relaxing and playing cards at night. The shower outside made it easy to rinse off so we didn't drag too much sand into the house. And if we did it was easily swept up. There are great shops and restaurants close, and a Walmart and Albertson's close by for grocery shopping. We would totally stay here again!

Where are our Orange County vacation rentals?

Orange County, or "the OC" as its more often called, is located on the coast of the Pacific Ocean and in the heart of Southern California. As the county seat, diverse and vibrant Santa Ana serves as Orange County's center. Overall, this well-populated and well-known county offers access to large cities, quiet beaches, and everything in between, and there's a beach house vacation rental to suit every Orange County fancy.

Things to do near your Orange County beach house rental

With so much to do in such a large destination, it is almost impossible to visit all of Orange County's attractions during a single visit - although, if you're up for the challenge, you can always try!

One of the most popular destinations in Orange County is the exciting city of Anaheim. Known primarily as the home of "the happiest place on earth," you'll find that there's much more to this popular city. Sports enthusiasts, in particular, will appreciate the area's different teams. Catch a baseball game at Angel Stadium or watch a hockey game at the Honda Center and cheer on the Anaheim Ducks.

Although real life is often different from what is depicted on reality shows, you'll quickly understand why the OC was used as a backdrop for several well-known TV shows. From world-class dining to luxury shopping, Orange County offers a taste of opulence and extravagance. However, you'll be pleasantly surprised to discover that the majority of the OC is rather laid-back and relaxed, known more for its beach vibes than exclusivity.

Outdoor enthusiasts will fall in love with the area's natural beauty. Spend your day surfing in coastal Newport Beach or Huntington Beach, visiting the famous tide pools at Laguna Beach, or hiking through either Crystal Cove State Park or Laguna Coast Wilderness Park. Dana Point is perfect for whale watching, especially during the Gray Whale Migration from November to April. Of course, one of the best ways to admire the area's natural beauty is with a relaxing drive along the Pacific Coast Highway, also known as Route 1. Roll down the windows, blast your favorite California playlist, and see why the OC is such a popular destination.

Theme parks near your Orange County vacation rental

Whether you're traveling with young children or just those who are still young at heart, you'll find that a visit to some of the area's theme parks is a must during your stay in one of our Orange County vacation rentals. Magical Disneyland is undeniably the most popular and well-known attraction in the area. From classic rides to newer attractions, there are many options for guests of all ages. Make sure to pack your Mickey ears and spend a few days hanging out with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and the rest of the gang!

Knott's Berry Farm, in Buena Park, is a thrilling theme park. Perfect for those who are feeling a bit adventurous, you'll find over 40 different rides here! While some of the larger roller coasters will get your adrenaline pumping, this is a family-friendly attraction that includes smaller rides, as well as some water rides that will keep you cool on a hot summer's day. If you are visiting during the fall, make sure to stop by and experience Knott's Scary Farm. From mazes to monsters, the entire park embraces the Halloween theme during this annual event. During the winter, the park transforms again into Knott's Merry Farm, with snow and visits from Santa Claus.
