This house, constructed in 1972 with love by a retired geodetic engineer and refurbished by his son and his family in 2014, is amazing!!! The house sits at the bend in the river surrounded by old growth woods and silence. The centerpiece of the house is a massive fireplace constructed of beautiful stones the original builder rockhounded during his career. Don’t miss this amazing experience! Hot tub and swimming hole have got you covered all year long.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, including evenings watching the Columbia river from all of the balconies. The kitchen and bathrooms were well-stocked with everything we could need, and the home was clean when we arrived. The beds were large and comfortable, and the curtains did a great job of blocking out the light. Our only (and very minor) complaint was that the lack of curtains in the living area (excellent for views) made watching TV in the evenings pretty challenging. We would absolutely stay here again!
