Recent Englewood vacation rental reviews

Evolve and the local host were very communicative as we needed a longer, medical needs stay. We communicated extensively regarding the need for a very clean, no mold or water damage, and no scents used with cleaning prior to booking as it was imperative for the safety of the individual undergoing surgery. Company and host were exceptional with communication and answering questions. The home is conveniently located in a great neighborhood and it is well laid out. Upon arrival, we noted that it was quite dirty - tortilla chips and food on floor and in corners, base boards, air registers/HVAC were caked with dust (which means mold), and there is evidence of water damage in various locations. The middle second floor bedroom had a strong mildew smell, so we closed that door and did not use it. As we were focused on surgery, we cleaned the vents/baseboards/shower/bathrooms ourselves and swept the floor. It lacked cleaning supplies for a thorough cleaning, so we purchased several items. The rugs were vacuumed, and beds nicely appointed and comfortable upon arrival. The host has a lot of personal items - clothing & personal care (owner's suite vanity mostly full) which is unusual for a rental stay. The kitchen was not well stocked for cooking - old scratched pans, no stock pot, broken tongs, two kitchen towels, and missing many basic kitchen items. There are a fair amount of spices and cooking oils in the cabinet, but also rancid peanut butter. The furnishings were soft and comfortable. The grill worked well. A reminder for others - this home has a lot of wood stairs, so be mindful of climbing and the potential for slipping. Overall, things look pretty tatty (carpet, sofa...), but it served its purpose. (Just not without developing symptoms from mold being present.) So if you have mold issues/allergies/toxicity, beware. Extra star for communication, location, general layout, and comfortable beds.

What a wonderful place! It felt like home for out of town family and was a wonderful spot to relax and reminisce. Beds are comfortable, lace was clean and well stocked!

The unit was in a great location, central to what I needed. Very clean and had everything that I needed for my stay. Downstairs neighbors were very polite and very quiet...hardly knew they were there.

Plan your Englewood getaway

Englewood is a smart fit when you want Denver-area convenience without staying in the middle of the busiest neighborhoods. From here, you can ease into the day with coffee and a local outing, spend the afternoon at Chatfield State Park or Cherry Creek State Park, then come back to a vacation home where everyone can spread out and recharge.

Spend the morning at the Museum of Outdoor Arts, let the kids burn off energy indoors, or head to Chatfield State Park or Cherry Creek State Park for a bigger open-air day. Then come back to Englewood or nearby Littleton for a relaxed dinner close to home.

Things to do in Englewood, Colorado

Whether you’re planning a family trip, a couples’ getaway, or a casual group stay, Englewood makes it easy to build a flexible itinerary. Start with a local activity, then add a park, meal, or short drive when the day calls for more.

Take a low-key art break at the Museum of Outdoor Arts

The Museum of Outdoor Arts is a simple way to add culture to your stay without making the whole day about downtown Denver. Its mix of sculpture, architecture, and public art gives couples, solo travelers, and art-minded guests a slower stop close to Englewood.

Keep younger kids busy at Kids Wonder

Kids Wonder is a practical indoor option for families with toddlers and younger children. The imaginative play areas make it easy to fill a weather-shifted morning, a gap between meals, or a day when everyone needs a break from the car.

Gather for indoor golf at South Broadway Country Club

South Broadway Country Club pairs Trackman golf simulators with a lounge-style setting and cocktail bar. It is a good fit for couples, adult groups, or golf travelers who want a social evening activity without planning around a full outdoor round.

Spend a bigger outdoor day at Chatfield State Park

Chatfield State Park gives you a reservoir-centered outdoor day near the foothills. Plan it when your group wants more space to walk, picnic, get on the water, or simply trade neighborhood time for wide-open views.

Recharge outside at Cherry Creek State Park

Cherry Creek State Park is another easy outdoor option near Englewood, with Cherry Creek Reservoir at the center of a large metro-area recreation space. It works well for a flexible park day with walking, biking, picnicking, or a quiet reset outdoors

Where to eat in Englewood

Settle in at Gallo Italian Supper Club & Bakery

Gallo Italian Supper Club & Bakery is a comfortable South Broadway stop for Italian dishes, baked goods, and an easy sit-down meal. It is a helpful choice for group dinners or a relaxed night close to your vacation rental.

Make dinner local at ZOMO

Stop for casual food and drinks at The 49th Food & Spirits

The 49th Food & Spirits brings an Alaskan-inspired angle to the local restaurant and bar scene. It is a good lunch, dinner, or drinks stop when you are exploring nearby Littleton or need an easy group-friendly meal.

Try a daytime comfort stop at Latke Love

Latke Love in Littleton focuses on latkes, blintzes, knishes, and other comfort dishes. Add it to the plan for a casual daytime meal or a quick detour with a little local character.

Keep it easy with Piccino Wood Oven Pizza

Piccino Wood Oven Pizza is a family-owned Littleton restaurant with handmade pizzas, oven-baked pastas, sandwiches, salads, and desserts. It is an easy choice for families, mixed groups, or a relaxed night when everyone wants something familiar and close by.

Englewood local tips

A little planning goes a long way in Englewood, especially if you want the convenience of a south Denver base without spending every day in the car.

Day trips from Englewood

Why choose between neighborhood convenience and Colorado scenery when you can plan for both? Englewood puts you within reach of quiet wildlife refuges, foothills outings, and full-day mountain drives, depending on how far your group wants to go.

Look for wildlife at Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge

Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge sits northeast of Denver and gives families, photographers, and wildlife watchers a nature-focused side trip without a mountain drive. Keep an eye out for bison, deer, raptors, prairie dogs, and other wildlife.

Take a quieter nature break at Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge

Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge in Arvada is a smaller urban refuge with ponds, birds, and native habitat. It is a good fit when you want a shorter, lower-key outing instead of a full park day.

Add foothills scenery at Lookout Mountain Nature Center

Lookout Mountain Nature Center near Golden brings a classic Front Range feel to an Englewood stay. Pair the exhibits and short walks with nearby scenery for a manageable day trip west of the metro area.

Make it a longer outing to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument

Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is better planned as a longer regional day trip. Petrified redwood stumps and detailed fossil deposits make it a rewarding stop for travelers interested in geology, paleontology, and Colorado history.

Plan a full day for Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park is a true full-day trip from Englewood, with alpine lakes, mountain landscapes, hiking trails, and wildlife viewing on a much larger scale than the metro parks. Check drive time, seasonal road conditions, and timed-entry requirements before you go.
