This is an adorable rustic cottage in the red woods with the added bonus of a hot tub. We were perfectly comfortable staying in the cottage and not going anywhere, especially since it was raining the first couple days we were there. We would sit in the hot tub between rain showers and bask in the beauty and peacefulness of being in the red woods.
At the price point and for the quaintness and the hot tub it's well worth the stay.
I will say it wasn't as secluded as I thought it was going to be. The road was close to the cottage and was a bit busier than expected. Not terrible just not what we were thinking.
The driveway to the cottage is very steep so if renting a vehicle, like we did, I would recommend something with AWD. We had a Nissan Altima and we made it out ok but it spun a bit the first time trying to get out. Since it had rained a couple days it was a little muddy, which didn't help. You definately want to make sure no ones coming down the road from either direction when you're ready to get out since the road to get there is only one lane wide. If you're not used to driving on step grades with sharp curves it could be a bit nerve racking.
The bed and the sofa were not the most comfortable and there could have been a bit more attention to detail spent when cleaning but again the hot tub and the price made it worth while.
Overall, it was worth the stay. It's close to cute little villages and the coast. The scenery is breathtaking.
