Cabin one was clean, spacious, has everything you could possibly need, comfortable and homie feeling absolutely enjoyed it very much, will be coming back!

We had a great stay. It was very clean and comfortable. The Parking was adequate and the fact that it had a boat slip made it even better.
Ron . | Apr 2026
After some bumps booking the cabin (firewall issues) the process was very simple and easy… Fotos on website are spot-on!!… Clean, comfortable, well appointed with wonderful appliances, bedding and sofas… Hot water does run out a bit quickly, so shower fast!!.. Dock is well maintained and lit… Bass boat owners might want Dock Sticks or your own fenders… The lake is 6’ low so transition from Dock to steps is a bit tricky for older folks… Overall a great experience and the variety of housing options is very good… Our contact, Stephanie, was very personable and even checked on us mid-week to make sure all was good…Certainly looking forward to a return trip!!

Plan your Greers Ferry getaway

Greers Ferry keeps the trip centered on the lake, with boat days, swim coves, marina stops, and relaxed shoreline time shaping most of the stay. Greers Ferry vacation rentals work well for families, couples, and groups who want access to Greers Ferry Lake, Dam Site Marina, Eden Isle Marina, and the William C. Garner Visitor Center.

As you compare homes, think about whether you want to stay close to the water, near a marina, or in a quieter setting with space to unwind after a lake day. Each home is unique, so review listing details for parking, kitchens, pet policies, WiFi, laundry, outdoor space, dock or boat access notes, and seasonal access details before you book.

Things to do in Greers Ferry

Looking for things to do in Greers Ferry, AR? Start with Greers Ferry Lake and the named marinas or visitor centers that help make a lake trip easier to plan, then add a local arts stop when your group wants a break from the water.

Greers Ferry Lake

Greers Ferry Lake is the centerpiece of the trip, with boat days, swimming coves, shoreline picnics, and sunset views all built around the water. It’s the first thing to plan around for first-time visitors, families, and groups who want a classic Arkansas lake vacation.

Best for:

Dam Site Marina

Dam Site Marina is a full-service lake marina near the dam area, making it simpler to turn a Greers Ferry stay into a true on-the-water vacation. It works well for groups who want an “arrive and get on the lake” day without piecing together logistics across multiple access points.

Best for:

William C. Garner Visitor Center

William C. Garner Visitor Center helps travelers orient to the lake and surrounding recreation options before choosing a day plan. It’s a smart first stop for new visitors who want official context before heading to a marina, campground, beach, or shoreline area.

Best for:

Eden Isle Marina

Eden Isle Marina is a well-known lake marina that works as a practical base for boaters and visitors planning several days around coves and shoreline stops. It’s especially useful if your rental is on the Eden Isle side of Greers Ferry Lake.

Ellen Hobgood Gallery

Ellen Hobgood Gallery is a small local gallery that adds an easy arts break to a lake-heavy itinerary. It works well as a rainy-day stop, a midday reset, or a lower-key activity between time on the water.

Where to eat in Greers Ferry

Dining around Greers Ferry is best planned by where you are spending the day on the lake. The marina and lakeside pockets around the dam and Eden Isle work well for quick, convenient meals between boating plans, while nearby Heber Springs offers more variety when your group wants a broader dining mix.

The Fairfield Bay area is another nearby cluster to consider if you are staying or exploring on that side of the lake. If you prefer easy meals at your rental, check each listing for kitchen setup, dining space, outdoor seating, grill details, and parking, since features vary by home.

Bayside Restaurant at Fairfield Bay

Bayside Restaurant at Fairfield Bay is tied to the Fairfield Bay side of the lake area and works well when your group wants a sit-down meal away from the boat-ramp rhythm. It’s a practical dinner anchor for travelers staying near Fairfield Bay or looping the lake by car.

Greers Ferry local tips

Greers Ferry events and seasonal highlights

Greers Ferry and the surrounding lake communities may offer seasonal music, movies, and community programming, but schedules change throughout the year. Before building a trip around a specific event, check current local listings or venue calendars.

Ozark Highlands Radio can be a useful starting point for community happenings and local programming. Keep event content refreshable rather than treating one-time dates as evergreen travel advice.

Day trips from Greers Ferry

Greers Ferry makes a relaxed lake base, with caves, rivers, state parks, and history sites adding variety when you want a day away from the shoreline. Plan these as separate half-day or full-day trips, and check current hours, tickets, road conditions, and access details before you go.

Blanchard Springs Caverns

Blanchard Springs Caverns is a standout Ozarks cave experience that gives your trip a very different kind of “wow” day than boating or swimming. It’s a strong choice when your group wants a full adventure away from the shoreline.

Buffalo National River

Buffalo National River is a nationally protected river landscape that adds big Ozarks scenery to a Greers Ferry Lake vacation. Treat it as a distinct full-day outing when you want river-country views that feel different from a reservoir lake setting.

Woolly Hollow State Park

Woolly Hollow State Park is an Arkansas state park option for travelers who want a simple park-based day outside the immediate Greers Ferry area. It works well as a change of pace from the lake without committing to a longer regional drive.

Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site

Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site is a major American history site and a meaningful cultural day trip beyond the lake region. It’s a good fit for history-focused travelers or mixed-interest groups who want one day that is not centered on the water.
