We rented this property in August; the views are speculator for sure. But in my opinion, it’s not worth the 6k we paid for the weekend. There were several things we noticed when we arrived like spider webs everywhere (needs a deep cleaning inside), the dishwasher was not initially working, the washer/dryer were also not working, and the grill was dirty and unworkable. There was also a lot of cigarette buds on the lower patio.

We stayed at this house from May 12-15. It was in poor shape and we can provide the photos that support the following issues. We understand that maintenance on a coastal house is challenging but our concerns were much beyond that and showed a general state of neglect.
Starting with the outside, a driveway with cracks and weeds growing through it. Exterior landscaping filled with weeds, overgrowth and debris.
Water damage throughout the house, the floor has extensive damage, even holes by the door frame. Stove with a non working grill and broken knob just placed in. Doors with no handles or broken handles, closets that doors do not open. A garage filled with junk and a very prolific nest of spiders. Torn furniture. Garbage cans full when we got there even though it was a Thursday, garbage day, as their own sign claimed.
The view is spectacular, great location and the house was once clearly beautiful. But the absolute lack of regular, basic maintenance was a real issue and asking $1,500 per night for a house in this condition is just simply not right. At this price range expectations are high and this house most definitely did not meet them.
We also had one single outreach when we there - a generic survey question about the cleanliness of the house. We gave it a four, instead of a lower score because this is not a reflection of a cleaning crew but a deeper, more fundamental neglect.We had tried several times to reach the agent on record before we came to answer some questions and never could reach her. We left a day early.

We sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered during your stay and we appreciate you letting us know that there is room for improvement. Moving forward, we can assure you that we will take immediate action to address your concerns on the water damage, stove with non-working grill, broken knobs and torn furniture. While the floor damage will be recommended to the homeowner to update for future guests. On the other hand, the lock storage you unable to open are the AV equipment which stored by the homeowner and guests are prohibited to access. While, the various items at the garage are items that owner keep as well for safe keeping. Regretfully, the trash should not be left full. It wasn’t our intention to disappoint you. But we feel fully responsible for what happened and for any inconvenience, this may have caused you. We hope that the refund that you were given has helped with some resolution of the issue you experienced. We hope to have the opportunity to better impress you in the future.

Water’s cold, but the house is spectacular. Amazing view. Beach is incredible. House is in great shape. Some restaurants and local shops were closed or had reduced hours due to pandemic. Be sure to stock up on food before you get there, or you will find yourself driving into Lincoln Ciry regularly. But we had a great time!
