If you want beautiful views, convenience to the city, excellent king size bed and the most gorgeous sunsets, then this the house for you! We stayed this past weekend, and it was wonderful. We rented electric bikes from Coeur D’Alene Bike Co. (Excellent service and great group to work with) and road the 7 miles to Higgins Point for picnic then back. Crafters Restaurant was recommended to us, but they were closing. Crafters recommended Crickets (just across the street) and it was delicious! We had burgers in front of the fire with cocktail starters. Made it home in time for a spectacular sunset right in front of us on the deck of our VRBO rental. As previously stated, in other reviews, this is not a house for children. But it is a perfect house for two couples to relax and enjoy. Oh, and started our day with wild turkeys in and around on the hillside…all and all, just WONDERFUL!

While this house could use a little updating, the views were amazing! Every room has a lake view. It was very clean and well stocked with all the necessities.

The location and view are wonderful! WiFi didn’t work, and no solution from Vacasa. Broken and chipped floor tiles. Furnishings including pillows and bedding are old, uncomfortable and outdated, and the deck is dangerous for children or seniors. There was salt, pepper, and sugar, but bring your own coffee, oils and seasonings.
Hi, Victoria! The WiFi has been updated. Thank you!
Robert B.Jun 2021
Location and view was great. The wifi didn't work and sun shades to block out the heat during summer months would help with cooling and not allowing the sunlight in at 4:30 am.
Hello, Robert! We are glad you enjoyed this location and apologize for the issues you experienced during your stay. We encourage guests to reach out to our property management team directly via the contact information provided in check-in instructions, as our professional, dedicated team is standing by should any need arise. We hope for the opportunity to better serve you in the future!

This house was very comfortable with lots of room to spread out. We loved all the different outside area. Nice deck on both floors and a pergola as well. The neighborhood was quiet and conveniently located close to Coeur D'Alene.
A extra bonus is how well the home is stocked. Great kitchen and everything you need to prepare a meal.
Vacasa does a great job with the check in instructions and the house was very clean
Lorren L.Sep 2020
Deck offered beautiful views of Lake Coeur d'Alene!!! Enjoyed both upper and lower decks! Living space was plentiful! Not all rooms are air conditioned (bedrooms).

The house needs a little tic. Your location is excellent and the view is gloriius

The view off the deck here is amazing. Easy check in/out.
We had a great time, would definitely stay here again!

I usually don’t leave reviews but I thought it was important to leave a review this time because the current reviews are very misleading. The view is spectacular and deserves five stars. But without the view the house is about a three star. The kitchen and one of the bathrooms have been updated. But the rest of the house is from the 1970s including the bedding. Also there are no amenities just the basics.
Jane B.Jun 2020
I loved the outside deck - you cannot beat this view of the lake. There were some updates on the bottom floor, but the majority of the house was pretty outdated. We didn’t have enough towels and there were no wine glasses which was a bummer! Would recommend also updating the linens as the comforter upstairs had blood and stains on it. Other than those things, was a pretty decent stay.
Hi, Jane! We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to read you had some qualms about your visit. We have brought more towels to the home and taken care of the stains on the comforter have been addressed. The other comforters and sheets are in great shape. The property manager will be sure to get some wine glasses to the home. Thank you!

The view was breathtaking, the home was very well laid out and worked so perfectly for more than one couple. The decor was beautiful, with perfect spots to sit either on the balcony, patio, or even just inside looking out at the late through the huge windows.

Views. Layout of home.
Dawne S.May 2019
The house is very quirky but fun and comfortable. The location is extremely convenient for golfing at the Couer d'Alene course (with the floating green) and the view overlooking the lake is fantastic!
Gretchen M.Mar 2019
Great home, very clean and the views are outstanding. We have a full sized truck and the parking is very minimal, just FYI if you have multiple vehicles. I would recommend this home.
Julia M.Mar 2019
The place was well kept, spacious, and there is everything you may need.
We were worried that it would be freezing cold when we reach inside the house to be surprised when we reached the house that the host has already set everything ready for us to feel warm!
We enjoyed walking by the lake, playing board games, and cooking a quick meal. I would surely come back again— fascinating scenery, with many beds to accommodate everyone!
Thank you for the true retreat feeling that was much needed at that time of the year!!

This is a perfect spot for two couples! The owners and Matt with Vacasa went above and beyond to help us with a special request we had.

This is a great home just a short drive from downtown CDA. The views of the lake are unbeatable. The furnishings are outdated, but it has plenty of space and seating (inside and outside). We enjoyed making many meals in the kitchen and grilling on the deck.
We absolutely loved that this was a dog friendly property, and we found several dog parks in the area. The actual yard is very small, and has a ledge that led down the very steep cliff. The fence didn’t seem completely secure, so we had to keep a close eye on the dogs.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and didn’t have any issues!

The view was spectacular! The beds were very comfy. We enjoyed the outside deck. This home was located conveniently from shipping and restaurants.
Gail R.Apr 2018
We were very pleased with the house, especially the view! As with any home, there were minor maintenance items that could be addressed, but it was perfect for our needs. It is very close to the golf course, which was convenient for us. Also, there was plenty of space for our family.
Joseph R.Mar 2018
Our stay got off to a rocky start, the new hot water heater went out at some point soon after we arrived. The breaker somehow got tripped and we woke up to a 59 degree House with not hot water. It was fixed fairly quickly and then we just had to waste for the water to heat up. Overall the hose is very clean, lots of room, very close to downtown. The views are simply amazing from every point in the home. The kitchen looks to be remodeled and was very nice. House caters to the lake and if you want to have best views this is the home for you. Overall we were happy and enjoyed our stay.

This is a great home to rent for a small family get together. The view is incredible with amazing views of the lake all day long and especially stunning sunsets. It has had a very recent remodel with a lot of updates to make it even more appealing. The house retains the interesting floor plan and quirky wiring of a much older house, but the large windows, gas fireplace, small yard and phenomenal balcony really place it in a different class. The place allows pets and the railing around the balcony has additional cables to make it harder for a child or pet to get through. This is a very good thing, because the drop off under the balcony is breathtaking. I think the three bedroom layout is best for three couples and a smaller child. The extra small bed in one of the bedrooms was too small for one of our sons to sleep on, so we used the futon upstairs instead. Parking is limited around the house, so two cars is about the maximum to bring. Really enjoyed the house and location. The maintenance staff did a great job responding to a water leak that happened while we were there. Still discussing with management about a partial refund because of the issue. I will update my review if that process changes my currently positive opinion of the rental company itself.

The house has amazing lake views.
David B.Nov 2017
This was just what we were looking for...no frills accommodations in the center of everything. Nice and quiet. The house had everything we needed and served well as our base camp for day trips throughout the panhandle. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
David E L.Oct 2017
Not worth the price!
Timothy A.Oct 2017
This home needs some work & updating. yes, it has amazing views, Sits on a cliff is not right on the lake -up a dirt road. Mattresses? were REally uncomfortable-small. hot water used up after one shower. needs better curtains to keep out the hot sun and let you still see the views -which you paid for. No screens or sliders. ok get away for some people if these kinds of things do not bother you.But for the price...we would probably find another place.

Loved the location, but property is well worn.
Can overlook shag carpet, but burned out lights, old appliances, bugs on floor and garage full of junk makes and looks the house rundown.
Needs a good, thorough cleaning and repairs around the house.
Change out some of the appliances and clean out garage.
During the winter months the owner has several big updates planned for the home. Several light fixtures have already been replaced. We look forward to sharing the rest of the changes with our guests!
Mary H.Sep 2017
This property has a nice layout, great views, and was nice for 3 couples. But we were all very disappointed in the condition. Old mattresses, pillows and stained bed linens. No mattress or pillow protectors. Bathrooms are in dire need of attention. The entire home needs someone to come in and give it an overhaul.
We are sorry to see this guest was disappointed. The home has big renovations in the works that we are excited to share with our guests upon completion. Thanks!
Andrea L.Sep 2017
We (6 retired women) rented this home for the view and proximity to CDA. These were as expected. Actually, the view was better than expected.
The furnishings at best are tired, worn and in some cases, look dirty. The upper balcony is not safe so, unusable.
As a group, we have rented numerous homes over the years from San Antonio to Whistler. This was the most disappointing property in the last 10 years. We would not rent this home again without numerous changes.
Andrew M.Aug 2017
What an incredible little gem this house is! Our group enjoyed spectacular views, including a great view of the floating green and gorgeous Lake Coeur D'Alene. The energy was great all weekend with the Ironman race occurring over the weekend. Thank you again!
Rita M.Aug 2017
We enjoyed our stay at the house. The first night was very hot but Matt adjusted the downstairs a.c. so it was able to keep the house cooler. The bedrooms were hot so it was uncomfortable to sleep until early in the morning(3am). The day time temperature was in the mid 90s and the view was obstructed by the smoke of the wildfires but it is a great view.
Barbara S.Aug 2017
Nice stay in Couer d'aLaine. The house is a little tired, but very comfortable.
There is a great deck, but it is hot in the afternoon as it is west facing. There is also a nice shaded deck.
Loren T.Jun 2017
This is a great property for being outside and enjoying the sunset.
Carolyn O.May 2017
This is an older but comfortable home. Easy access to interstate and downtown. Spectacular view of the lake and sunsets. Kitchen was well equipped. Spacious and light.
Susan B.Oct 2016
Loved waking up in the morning to the beautiful Lake view.
Debbie A.Aug 2016
Beautiful view and very nice deck. House has a lot of windows, all with great views of the lake. House needs updating. Beds were uncomfortable. And none of the sheets fit the beds properly. Also.Very poor water pressure throughout the house.
We are sorry to see that there was an issue with the water pressure in the house; this is typically indicative of the need to change the water filter, which the Property Manager has now taken care of.
Rodney & Connie Alms B.May 2016
Killer View, Lots of room, could use a little updating...
Kim J.May 2016
Beautiful home and setting. It gave our family lots of space to spread out in! We would use this home again.
Jennifer M.Nov 2015
VERY DATED! The photos posted make the house look a lot nicer than it is. It appears that instead of fixing or replacing things they are just "rigged" (i.e. Multiple isafety pins holding up shower curtain) rather than spend any money to correctly fix them, I mean seriously? How expensive is a new shower curtain? The shower was not an enjoyable experience, you had scalding hot water followed by ice cold water. This was not an isolated experience since it happened to all four of us daily for 4 days. The kitchen sink as well as the ceiling in the laundry room has a leak. The house is VERY drafty and you can see that the exterior doors are not sealed properly. The house sits on a cliff with a road separating it from the lake. The only saving grace is that the views are unbelievable. The windows are expansive allowing you to take in the views from most any angle while downstairs. We ended up at this property because our property was not available due to the storm that knocked out the power.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us. We sincerely apologize for the maintenance inconveniences you experienced during your stay. The Property Manager has been notified of your comments and will work with the owner on getting them resolved. We are glad to see that you did enjoy the great views!
Brenda H.Aug 2015
The view at this house is amazing! There are plenty of chairs and tables for ourside enjoyment.
The house was dated and some things pretty shabby looking. Some of the blinds ae curtains are tacky. If you are looking for a quirky beach house this is the place. I would not recommend for a wedding or taking small children here.
The bathrooms need help. You can get a shower here but it will be really hot or really cold.
Expect the place will not be "perfect" but it is pretty clean and a nice stay because of the gorgeous view.
JJ W.Jul 2015
We often travel in a group for different sport events. We love sharing the house and making family meals. The view is outstanding with most of our time being spent out on the deck. I'd definitely stay here again. It's a little dated and has some funky furnishings, but the location was great.
