Cozy home w/ private hot tub, near Ridge Trail and golf!
With a charming interior, space for four guests, a great location, and even a private hot tub, this Gearhart vacation rental is the beach home you've been looking for!
Located in a neighborhood in quiet Gearhart, this home is about a 15-minute walk from beach access (or a quick drive from the sandy shore). The larger Seaside, just to the south, offers plenty of activities, but right here in town you will find grocery stores, restaurants, and a golf course to keep everyone happy.
This two-bedroom, one-bathroom home has a cozy interior and enough space for up to four guests. The living room offers some seating where you can rest and watch some cable TV in the evenings. There's also a DVD player and a selection of movies, as well as board games and some books that you're welcome to borrow. WiFi access is provided, so you can easily look up the tide tables or keep up with your work emails.
In the full kitchen you will find just about everything you may need to whip up tasty meals. Although there is no dishwasher, there are all other major appliances and plenty of cooking tools available. There is a cozy breakfast nook in the kitchen, as well as a six-seat dining room table in the living area.
A full bathroom has a shower (no tub), and this home even has a laundry area that will surely come in handy after a day or two of playing on the beach! The two bedrooms each contain a soft queen-size bed where you will sleep soundly, as well as side tables and lamps so you can do a little reading before drifting off. With an additional sofabed in the living room, this home can comfortably accommodate up to four guests.
Outside, you will find a lovely deck where you can sit and enjoy the fresh sea air. There is an expanse of grassy yard, and - best of all - a private hot tub that will be the perfect place to relax and let all your stress melt away.
With the beach so close, you will want to spend plenty of time enjoying the sand and surf! You can take a leisurely 15-minute walk to easy beach access at the west end of Pacific Way, though you could also take your vehicle out onto the sand via 10th Avenue's access point. If you prefer to spend your visit out on the fairways, the lovely Gearhart Golf Links lies just a block west of this home.
In town you will have several restaurants to choose from, including a McMenamins Sand Trap Pub right next to the golf course, the tasty El Mariachi Loco Mexican restaurant, and the well-loved Pacific Way Bakery & Cafe. Of course, just about two miles down the road is Gearhart's border with Seaside, which offers a plethora of restaurants, shops, and activities for visitors to enjoy.
Seaside boasts popular beaches, an aquarium, plenty of shopping downtown, a cinema, and pretty much everything you might need to have a wonderful stay. If you feel like exploring more of the Northern Coast, you could drive about 20 minutes north to historic Astoria, which has some fantastic sights to see and a charming atmosphere. Drive south instead, and in about 25 minutes you will reach the fantastic Ecola State Park, an unbeatable place for hiking and majestic ocean views, as well as the bustling Cannon Beach.
Whether you want to stay right here in friendly Gearhart or explore more of the region, this comfortable and welcoming Northern Oregon Coast vacation rental will be the perfect home base for your beach adventure!

Has a well equipped kitchen, lovely quaint feel, nice forest hangout on deck with hot tub. Nice story about it's history as a family home. Beach is 15-20 min walk away. Our visit had record highs 90's, but house stayed bearable when we kept doors, windows and curtains shut, ran the fan. Opened east side windows at night to cool off. Suggest owners invest in screen door(s) to help cool house at night/early AM. Metal deck chairs not holding up to the weather. For now, bring your own outside chairs and an extra small fan or two if you will be there on very hot days. Very nice bird-watching on the deck in the AM and PM.
Hi, Holly! We're glad you stayed with us and appreciate your helpful review. The homeowner is pricing a new HVAC system for guest comfort. Thank you!

This was a nice place to get away! The home is definitely old and rustic but it has everything you need. We loved the hot tub, it was consistently 104 degrees. Being able to do laundry on site was really nice. It is a nice leisurely walk to the beach. It took about 15 minutes. We didn't have wifi for one of our days which was a bummer but they fixed it the next day. The beds were pretty comfy but the couch was not great. All in all we would stay here again.

Pro’s- Priced Reasonably around $100/night(Feb) (not including fees) Great place for warmer coastal weather season.
Con’s- One soft mattress one firm in bedrooms, somewhat drafty, couch uncomfortable, hot tub water appeared clean but had dank odor. 10am check out.
Susan G.Dec 2021
Definitely rustic, but everything worked and everything we needed was there. Peaceful spot next to a nice little walking trail and reasonable walking distance from the beach.
Kudos to the local Vacasa manager, Eli. We had a few minor issues and he was super helpful and responded quickly. Couldn't ask for a better local contact person/problem solver.
Zachary M.Sep 2021
Was clean, warm and charming.

We owned a 1924 home with 70's remodel, so felt at home, loved the historical aspect and trees. Brought wood and had warm fires on cold night in the wood stove. Pretty quiet neighborhood especially fun with the elk, birds, chipmunk visits. Owners left everything one could need for cooking or Bbq plus added curtains and a fan. Hot tub with a lovely tree lined view was clean and so relaxing. Walk or short drive to McMenamins to learn more history, eat, drink, golfing, shopping or the beach. Sweet!

Loved how quiet it was.

Very cute little house, but absolutely no extra amenities - not even an extra blanket for the pull-out couch. I called and requested a blanket but never heard back from them and never received it. No ziploc bags, no plastic wrap, no tin foil, no extra paper towels. Had pots and pans but minimal utensils. Only 4 forks in the house. Overall, I expected better.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us, Sarah. We are sorry to hear you had an outstanding request during your stay that went unresolved by our local team. It is never our intention to cause such difficulties and frustration for our guests. We appreciate your feedback and are using this as a learning experience so that we can prevent this incident from reoccurring. To clarify, we provide our guests with a starter kit of supplies. This includes cleaning supplies, toiletries, and paper products. Once these supplies run out it is the responsibility of our guests to provide any additional supplies throughout the remainder of their stay. Due to Covid-19 Supplies are restocked before each guest. Due to Covid-19, we have taken extra precautions not to supply items, such as aluminum foil, plastic wrap, spices, and oils, that cannot be properly sanitized between guests. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused during your time with us. We hope to have the opportunity to better serve you in the future!

Very nice place to stay
Donna L.Jun 2021
Loved the peace and quiet. Perfect!
Morgan D.Jun 2021
The house is very private which is nice. The hot tub made the whole trip worth it. The house is older and it shows. Also there are no screens on many windows which means we had flies regularly.
Stephanie m.Jun 2021
This is a darling house with great management! We had an issue with the cable so the owner had new equipment sent the next day and refunded 25$ a day for our inconvenience. You won’t be disappointed! I plan to stay again in the near future.
Adrianne G.Apr 2021
It was a great place to stay! A little old, but it was great!
Laureen H.Dec 2020
Easy access one level
Geraldine V.Sep 2020
We enjoyed our stay in Gearhart. This house is perfect for us. We made breakfast and heated up leftovers from outings to nearby Astoria and Seaside. Easy to drive south to Cannon Beach.
Very clean space, thank you for letting us get away.
Jerry O.Sep 2020
cozy and cute!
Audrey K.Aug 2020
Tucked away in a nice location, close drive to the beach, clean and loved the hot tub
Anna V.Jul 2020
Great location. The house was exactly what we needed. The kitchen was stocked with what we needed. The house was clean and we had lots of linens.
Very convenient to Gearhart Beach. Not walkable with a toddler but close for us.
Hot tub was great!
My only complaint is the mattresses are very hard. My husband was able to get used to them but I was very uncomfortable the whole stay. (Husbands editorial, wife has high standards and is fussy)
The windows in the the main space do not have screens. We were fortunate to visit on a week where it was cool but if it was a hot week we might have have been inundated with bugs.
Stephanie B.Jul 2020
Humble little cabin with all the basics covered including a very nice hot tub. WiFi worked well and kitchen had what we needed. Reason for less than 5 stars is lack of response from Vacasa via two different email questions two days before our trip. Wasn’t urgent but would have appreciated a response. Home could use another mirror (only one in the house—in the bathroom which was fogged during showers so no one could share) and also a manual RE: hide a bed in living room and TV operation. There also needs to be better light. No overheads—only lamps and we were unable to play board games as a family at dining room table in evening bc it was so dark.
Karrie P.Jul 2020
We had such a great time in Gearhart. Great home, great location. We would definitely stay there again.
Judith S.Jul 2020
This bungalow was just what we needed! It is an older, remodeled home and when we first got there it smelled a bit musty. We opened the windows while moving in and really didn't notice it after that. The beds were comfortable and the home was spotless when we arrived. The front deck was a perfect spot for morning coffee and the hot tub was a perfect way to end each day. We enjoyed our time there very much!
Vicente M.Mar 2020
Short notice reservation and everything went great! Clean, private and enjoyed our stay!
Nicole M.Mar 2020
Very nice place. Super quite. Close to beach. Has a washer and dryer. And a really nice clean hot tub.
Parker C.Mar 2020
The path I walk in life is a lonely one... fortunately that was not my experience at the Ridge Path Cottage! We stayed here over Leap Day holiday weekend. The home is in a peaceful location, well furnished and offers great amenities. Hot tub and wood stove were great in the chilly weather! Real life is for March!!!
Mark C.Sep 2019
It was cozy!! Convenient to everything! Quick responses if we needed anything! Loved sitting in the hot tub and listening to the ocean!!
Crystal R.Sep 2019
We had such a great time. The place is clean and comfortable to stay in. The hot tub was an amazing tough and very close to sea side.
Becky O.Aug 2019
Very satisfied with accommodations.
Mary C.Aug 2019
Quiet neighborhood and house tucked back from road. Older home, but comfortable enough for our stay. Didn’t try the hot tub but wish I would have brought a swimsuit and relaxed in it.
Josh C.Jul 2019
Perfect location close to the golf course and hotel where our friends were getting married. The house was cozy and the beds were great. Loved the hot tub and how peaceful it was. Would definitely come back!
Karen M.Jun 2019
The beds were great. I slept very well every night. The house was spacious but an odd layout. It was very conveniently located to places of interests. We saw a lot of Elk in the area.
Helana K.Mar 2019
The cottage is quaint, in a lovely and quiet spot. Hot tub and woodstove ensured cozy rainy day or sunny day comfort. Indoor lighting and kitchenware a bit lacking, but nothing that would ruin the stay for resourceful guests. A great spot to retreat to after a full day of exploring area attractions.
Andrew M.Dec 2018
We enjoyed our brief two-night stay at the Ridge Path Cottage on a wet and windy winter weekend. The hot tub was hot and very clean, and the woodstove turned out some great, cozy heat.
Everything was clean and in good condition, and while it was pretty chilly inside when we arrived, the wall furnace warmed up the main room pretty quickly. The kitchen isn't set up for cooking large/complex meals - very little counter space - but entirely sufficient for a brief stay.
The only knock is that the lighting is very sparse in the main living room. A few floor lamps to cover a ~15x20' space is not enough. Also, the ceiling light in the main bedroom flickered constantly (CFLs shouldn't be used on a dimmer switch) and that was a bit of a headache.
In summary, easy location to town and private, clean and cozy.
Katrina S.Dec 2018
I loved that the home was set back in the trees. Super clean and very well stocked! The kitchen had everything we needed. It was a great home for my son and I to get away for a few days. Close to plenty of stuff to do with hot tub to go relax in after a day of fun. We would definitely stay here again!
Michael K.Nov 2018
The place is exactly as advertised.
The hot tub not being “private” enough seemed to get a lot of hate. I’m not sure if anything was done between those reviews and our stay (partial fence in back), but it was plenty private enough for us to enjoy.
The place is simple and a great spot to lay your head after long days exploring the coast. If your goal is to enjoy the outdoors during the day and relax at night this place is for you.
Robert E.Jul 2018
Very comfortable, clean, and has everything you need for a beach trip. Hot tub and deck was great!
LAMBERT K.Jun 2018
The Ridge Path Cottage in Gearhart was perfect for my wife and two grandchildren. The cottage is located almost to the end of a dead-end street. It was somewhat secluded and a quiet location. The kids loved exploring around the cottage and the vegetation around the home; in addition, they loved the hot tub.
Thank you, we really enjoyed the stay and accomodations.
Andrea W.Apr 2018
Very nice for a weekend getaway. Hot tube was nice and relaxing .
Geah S.Jan 2018
This isn’t a fancy house, but if you’re just looking for a place to crash in between beach trips it is perfect! It’s priced very fairly for what you get. Hot tub was excellent. Furnishings are good/ok. Kitchen is nothing to write home about. For this low price and location I would come back and stay again! If you’re vacationing on a budget I recommend it.
Tara G.Jan 2018
I really like Gearhart and the house is in a great spot near the golf course, shops, dining and the beach. There is also a little walking trail that runs right next to the house. Great spot for a more secluded, relaxed getaway. The house has everything you could want. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire place since the weather was pretty stormy. The house is older and kind of funky, but they have done a lot of modernizing. I thought the decor was pretty cute and appreciated it not being overly "beachy" like a lot of coastal homes. My biggest problem was the smell. Smells really irritate me and the house smells damp, like mildew possibly. A fire helped, but I also bought a candle after the first day because it was making me crazy. My fiance didn't find the smell a problem and says he'd rate the house a 4. I'd do a 3 1/2 if I could. I would only say if smells bug you, don't rent this place, otherwise it's nice all around.
Ryanne B.Sep 2017
We loved the house, location, and close walk to the beach! Gearhart is now my favorite beach town! Beautiful and amazing and would love to stay there again!!!
Sharon B.Sep 2017
The hot tub was nice to have. The ceilings are low if you are a tall person (over 6'). The floors are higher in the bedrooms and the kitchen so there is a small ledge that could be a trip hazard for a small child or person with limited mobility. Location is great, right near the cute little bakery in Gearhart and directly across from McMenamins Gearhart, and close to the place where you can drive on the beach. It's not luxurious but if you are looking for basic accommodations near the beach, this might work for you.
Hannah B.Sep 2017
This cute cabin in Gearhardt offered a bit more of a secluded stay at the coast. Seaside is proximal, but tiny Gearhart is full of charm. Loved cooking and hanging in the hot tub all weekend.
Mona G.Aug 2017
This was a great stay for us. Thank you!
Shawna B.May 2017
Hot tub is a big perk for this VRBO.
Jessica W.Apr 2017
Place was really clean and provided what you needed to cook with. I have a very sensitive nose so the strong mildew smell was defiantly not my favorite. The bathroom skylight was leaking rain. They did have a tarp placed over the outside area so I am sure they are taking care of it. The hot tub was a nice plus to have. Overall it was a great family experience.
A deep clean will soon be performed in the home which should eliminate any odors, and the skylight will be taken care of after the bidding process. Thank you!
Aaron B.Apr 2017
spacious cottage that had everything we needed for a good time. The hot tub was the highlight. the temp was perfect.
This is the fifth place I've rented and by far the easiest to book and get in to and out of. I'm used to having to do more housekeeping duties prior to leaving and it was great paying for housekeeping and not having to do some of the duties (ie: put laundry in washer and start, clean dishes).
We stayed two nights and enjoyed every minute
Kathryn M.Mar 2017
This is a wonderful if you want to stay somewhere quiet! We had a wonderful time relaxing in the home. Everything was very clean and basic necessities were provided. It's very convenient to have a washer and dryer on site. Aside from the fact that we didn't have enough seating for all of our guest, we enjoyed the home.
Michelle L.Feb 2017
I loved Gearhart, it's quiet and pretty. The pizza place had the best pizza ever! The cabin was adorable and private. The hot tub was perfect! Loved this place so much and can't wait to come back.
Miranda T.Sep 2016
This place wasn't some luxurious getaway on the beach, but it was very nice. The hot tub was wonderful at night or in the morning, there was cable with movies On Demand that we could watch, and the beach was very close. This place has 2 big beds (queen, I think), and a pull out couch, so I suppose it could fit 5-6 people. I went with my partner and it was roomy and very romantic. Know that there is a smallish oven, so don't try and cook a large pizza in it or anything. The only improvements I would suggest: putting curtains on ALL windows, not just major ones, and also to leave hot tub instructions.
Gwendolyn D.Sep 2016
This little cottage is in a perfect location has a very private hot tub, cute little house. I would stay here again
Jeff P.Aug 2016
Private 2 BR small beach house - walking distance to Gearhart town square, Gearhart Golf Links and the beach. Has a Hot Tub, BBQ on the deck and a nice big screen TV. Perfect for a short stay or a small group.
Ian T.Aug 2016
We used the house for a family religious study retreat and it met our needs well.
Russ G.Aug 2016
Our trip was great and the area around the home is great for a quiet family getaway. The house is very simple and has everything you need for a vacation. The hot tub was great and the beds were comfy. Only issue we had was that our sons boogie board was stolen off the deck our last night there. Not the homeowners fault by any means. Overall a great trip
Charlene B.Jul 2016
This house may be small, but it's in a great location and has a fantastic hot tub. It was comfortable for 5 people.
Jared B.Jun 2016
Great location and fun house.
William A.Jun 2016
I would not recommend this place in its current state. Musty smell, overgrown lawn, toilet broke, beds very hard, outside looks like it is falling apart, family room has seating for 3. Try to book early, I didn't and got stuck with this place. The hot tub was nice though, and Vacasa was great to deal with. I would drop this property if I was them.
We are disappointed to see that this home was not up to this guest's expectations. Coastal homes do tend to develop a musty smell, but we will do what we can to eliminate it. The toilet has been fixed, and the lawn has been cared for.
Christophe D.Nov 2015
701 on the 7th is a must Cosy place to stay in family especially when the sun is o rendezvous ! 2 min from the bakery 2 min from the golf, 5 min from the ocean and a wonderful trail for a early run around the village on the shore! A must when you got your head in the stars and a body aqua massage !!! I will come back !
Kathleen S.Aug 2015
This little cottage was perfect for the two of us. We had a nice barbecue for our Gearhart friends. And we enjoyed the hot tub.
Lisa G.Aug 2015
This is a cozy, clean, uncluttered house with everything we needed for a short two-night stay. It looks like it's recently been partly renovated but still has some older elements. The hot tub worked well. Check out the Ridge Path, which is right next to the house.
Kim M.Jul 2015
Very quaint small house, had all of the ammenties and the hot tub was a bonus. Nice trail for walking to the beach. The house was clean and had Wifi and cable with pay channels. My family and I had a great time and would rent from Vacasa again.
