In downtown Yachats, you'll also find shops, galleries, and restaurants.
With an inviting front porch and a well-maintained interior, this Yachats vacation home offers a budget-friendly escape on the beautiful Central Oregon Coast. You'll have a wood burning fireplace for chilly evenings, a private hot tub, a comfortable sitting area, and a TV with a DVD player. The back deck is covered in case of a rainy day and has seating for all guests and a gas grill if you want to spend a sunny afternoon flipping burgers. Get the fire pit going for s'mores and stargazing.
The tastefully decorated two bedrooms offer a queen and a full sized bed - one room even has deck access. Both feature neutral wall colors, framed art, and comfortable bedding. Up to four guests can stay at this inviting Yachats getaway and two dogs are welcome (though a nightly fee per dog and minimum fee per stay will apply).

Loved the location, very peaceful and relaxing, pet friendly very big plus. Could definitely use new beds and softer sheets, and the hot tub could use a new control panel.
Katie L.Mar 2022
I like older houses so I didn't mind that this place wasn't updated, but it did definitely have some updates that could be addressed. The fireplace cover was shattered on one panel and completely broken off and missing on another and some minor updates throughout the home would be helpful. Also... our first night there we were unable to use the hot tub because it was so cold, but luckily we were staying for two nights and were able to use it the following day. Other than those issues we enjoyed our stay and would be happy to book "The Getaway" again.
Hi, Katie! We're glad you chose to stay with us and apologize for the broken fireplace. It has been replaced. Thank you!
Olivia R.Mar 2022
Perfect for a weekend getaway at the coast! The sound of the ocean waves crashing at night was absolutely amazing! The starry skies viewed from the backyard were so clear and majestic. The cabin was very cozy & cute! We loved both the fire pit outside , as well as the indoor fireplace. The hot tub was just what we needed after a long day of adventures and hiking. Only suggestion about the hot tub was maybe to add some sort of string lighting up top or something to add some lighting out there for grilling. We managed by keeping the bedroom light on inside and using that to see what we were grilling up. The beds and couches were comfortable . The comforters were nice and fluffy. We didn’t want to leave; we enjoyed the cozy cabin so much!

This house is on a nice quiet street, up against the forest. It, however, is in need of upkeep and some TLC. The house was clean enough, but you could tell by the worn out, ratty door mat that it wasn't being cared for. The fireplace screen is rusty and broken. On one panel the glass was missing and on another the glass was shattered. The sheets were clean, but I wondered when the quilts were last washed. The kitchen was ok, but was missing a cutting board, which we sorely missed. And the toaster didn't work. We went home early.
We're disappointed to read you left early, Bonnie. A new fireplace is on its way, and the toaster will be replaced if necessary after inspection. Thank you!

Great house in a quiet neighborhood. Close to Yachts and beaches.. Kitchen is pretty stocked with all the necessary gadgets and bedrooms have extra blankets and pillows. It would've been nice to have a dishwasher for sanitary purposes. We found a few dirty dishes, so we ended up having to wash dishes by hand before using them. Seems like it would be a requirement by Vacasa, especially with the strict cleaning rules that have been implemented and increased cleaning fees. There's also no light on the back porch, so it wasn't easy cooking on the grill, or see where you're stepping. Other than that, we had a great stay.

It was so quite and secluded. We had a very relaxing time.
Keith B.Oct 2021
My husband and myself and our big lovable dog had a great time at this location. Off the beaten path very quaint inviting home that came with a fun loving neighborhood dog named Gunnar. My dog and Gunnar had a great time. He is a persistent friend and loves to be loved, plus he has a cute smile. He added to our enjoyment. Had a bear get into the garbage can our last night so that was fun to pick up but hey nature. If you don’t get to this house until after dark the driveway to park in is just beyond the house and before the blue house where the road ends. Had great weather to use the fire pit with good views of the sky at night. Good location to hear the ocean waves at night while enjoying the fire pit or spa. Will definitely be coming back again.

Nice for the price
Laura J.Oct 2021
Quiet and peaceful location in the woods
3 or so blocks to the ocean beach / beautiful sunset
Close proximity to Yahats - about 6 miles
Sandy C.Aug 2021
Very peaceful & quiet in the area, not close to ocean but lovely scenery
Lisa B.Jul 2021
This was a cute and quaint little house. A few things need to be updated but did not affect our stay. Nice to be able to have our pup
Mary M.Jul 2021
We liked how quiet it was, in the woods. We enjoyed the fireplace and the hot tub, and how close we were to Tillicum Beach. We had everything we needed!
Ole B.May 2021
It’s a lot more dark and dingy than the pictures. The jacuzzi is only a 2 person. They need to update the dishes and furniture. The tv was also low to the ground which isn’t ideal if you have kids. It was a block from the beach as long as you looked up how to get to the beach. So like I said it was fine/ok but I wish it would have cost us less. Also the jets just blew air in the hot tub so that sucked too. I’m sure it’s been someone’s lovely home for a long time but they just need to update if they are gonna Vacasa it
Thank you for your review, Ole. We sincerely apologize for the disappointment. We would have been happy to assist with any questions or concerns if we had been notified during your time with us. Donald M.Mar 2021
We loved the woodsy secluded location. Boarded up house next door meant no one right next to us! With the fireplace and fire pit outside it was easy to create warmth and relaxation. The hot tub was also very relaxing! Only drawback was cell phone service and house needed a more efficient plunger!! But, called the customer service local person and within 1/2 hr it was fixed and the person was super nice about it!
We will be back!
Charly D.Feb 2021
We stayed for 5 nights, it was a comfortable warm inviting stay. Will be comming back again!!
Meredith R.Jan 2021
This house was quaint, quiet, and exactly what I was hoping for. The location was near "downtown" Yachats so exploring town was very convenient. The hot tub was an extra bonus!
Elizabeth W.Nov 2020
Loved how quiet is was and cozy.
LeNelle E.Nov 2020
Comfortable and cozy home just a 10 minute walk to a beach access point. Nice big open layout of the main area - so you can cook and still be a part of the entertainment going on in the main lounging area. Fabulous hot tub and fire pit out back. Made for a lovely weekend get away with my honey and my pup. We greatly enjoyed ourselves and would gladly stay in this home again.
Scott E.Oct 2020
The house was a perfect getaway! It was set up very nicely inside and the hot tub and fire pit were perfect! Thank you!!
Amanda Faye N.Oct 2020
We liked the private setting the most, dog friendly yard and the hot tub!
Mary K.Sep 2020
Quiet and quaint.
Sydney S.Aug 2020
We really enjoyed our stay. House was cozy and we were able to bring our dog ! We had four guests and we all were comfortable. However, the hot tub only fits 2 adults so we weren't able to all relax in it at the same time. Nice and hot ,but sand at the bottom of tub when we got there. Other then that we had a great time!
Andrea C.Nov 2019
Had a wonderful time in a beautiful setting. Thank you for sharing your home!
Ryan M.Oct 2019
Easy, quiet, hassle free getaway. Easy drive to restaurants and local attractions, hikes, beach, ride pools, lighthouse, and ocean views. Very private and relaxing.
Melia B.Sep 2019
also the neighborhood appears a bit sketchy but it was very quiet. it was clean and the beds were comfortable. the kitchen was functional - even had a coffee grinder. the hot tub was pristine and hot! the yard was fenced and our dog was welcome. the beach is close by - you can hear the waves (and owls!) at night. Downers - no wood for the fire pit and no presto logs for the fireplace. It is a bit deceiving to advertise fireplaces and not supply some wood! Or at least a notice that you need to supply your own wood if that is the policy. Also, someone had left the valve on the BBQ open and the tank was completely empty. we had to drive to waldport to exchange the tank for a full one, before we could make dinner, after a long day f driving. :( I am hoping we can be reimbursed or that. The price is about right for a 2 bedroom vacation home on the oregon coast.
Thank you, Melia, for leaving your review with us. The propane has been filled, and we are adding a note in the listing about the firewood to prevent any confusion. We hope to see you again!
Cristian R.May 2019
We love the seclusion of this house, the fireplace and the hot tub. It was perfect for us, our dogs, and another couple. Easy walking distance to the beach and driving access to both downtown Yachats, and of course the nearby towns of Newport and Florence. The house is rustic in the best way possible, truly a cabin in the woods, away from cell phone range.
kenneth s.May 2019
Absolutely perfect getaway, the name says it all. Everything was in order, hot tub was amazing, plenty of privacy. Overall I would 100% stay again
Alison M.Apr 2019
I loved that I could bring my dog, and the house was very comfortable, although they could use a few more kitchen supplies. We did have a great time and appreciated the hot tub and roku.
Erin H.Feb 2019
This sweet little cottage was the perfect cozy getaway, indeed! The covered hot tub was especially nice. Easy access to Yachats as well as Waldport. Definitely rustic! The fireplace was broken, which was a bummer since it's winter, but everything else suited us just fine!
Pamela h.Jul 2018
The house was very warm and inviting. If your looking for peace and tranquility this is the place. The house was very clean with more than enough towels and bedding for my daughter and me. The neighbors are super friendly but do not intrude. The road up to the house was a little hard to find at first but after a few trips to Yachats and up and down the coast it was easy enough to find. The hot tub was clean in working order but missing the headrests. The only drawback was there was a ton of spider webs and spiders outside on the back porch and the yard needed to be better maintained. We did not use the grill because it was rusty and very dirty, but if you use the fire pit beware the bottom has rusted out and it should have sand in and around the fire pit it was really easy to catch the sounding grass on fire so have some water ready if you do use it. Overall this is a great little place and I would come back. Just love to see some up grades to the outside. The inside was very comfortable and made you feel like you were at home.
Kyla F.Apr 2018
The only downfall to the house really is the driveway since it shared and was confusing at first. The beach across the road is a bit of a walk but its worth it since its not high traffic we were able to let our dog run. Alot of the items listed in the welcome book were not available but it was fine none of those things are needed. Hot tub was the best part!
dawn l.Mar 2018
The town was alot of fun
Jaedon M.Jan 2018
This home is Absoulutley amazing, I recomend this to couple's only because I felt its a place for comfert, and you can kinda just forget and relax, you deffiently can make it a family thing, but that's just how I feel.
Jackie M.Dec 2017
Cute little cabin with plenty of room for 2 people and 2 dogs. Very clean and warm.Nice fenced yard for the dogs and quite location. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. The only disappointment was there is no way to access the Netflix subscription.
Jackie L.Nov 2017
Overall we loved our stay here. There were a few things we would love to see improved but nothing that would keep us from coming back, especially if those few small things are addressed before our next visit.
Lucy R.Oct 2017
We really enjoyed our short stay at the Getaway. The house is cozy and warm, the perfect nest to return to after running around on the beach all day. They allowed us to bring our dogs which made everything easier for us, and they got to enjoy the beach as well. Also, the yard was fully fenced so the pups could be outside without us worrying they'd wander off. The house has pretty much everything you'd need; the kitchen has enough to make a meal and there was a TV with netflix and a dvd player. The hot tub is little but it was plenty big enough for the two of us. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves.
Constance R.Sep 2017
We stayed for five days and had a wonderful time. The house isn't "fancy," but it is perfect for a laid back get away.
Dan H.Sep 2017
Roben J.Aug 2017
We had a nice time at The Getaway. It was not too far to the beach and we found the property pleasant and relaxing.
Lucynda T.Jul 2017
The Getaway was very charming, perfect for a much needed retreat with my sweetie. It reminded me of my grandmother and growing up in rural Coos Bay.
The only issues we had were on par with previous reviews. The hot tub did not get or stay very hot, however nice for a quick soak. We had issues with figuring out the tv situation, an update of the binder would be helpful.
That said, Vacasa and local staff were very prompt to respond to our distress call.
I will admit I was a bit of a pill and they were very patient with me :)
We truly had a lovely time!
Tessa E.Jun 2017
I was told that there wasn't much to do in Yachats, but there's Cape Perpetua (which is a 10 min drive from the house). It was so beautiful and I'd go back in a heartbeat.
Jessica W.May 2017
We loved the house, it was simple and efficient. I loved the location, the fact that it was tucked away in the trees yet close to the beach and a nice central area along the coast.
I definitely felt right at home. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly. I personally felt that I got what I was looking for in this rental.
The few problems that I did have were the hot tub wasn't hot and the control panel needed replaced during our stay, as well as the lack of satellite TV but that didn't bother us because it gave time to more important things such as each other's company.
We apologize the hot tub had been set to eco mode prior to this stay so it wasn't ready for our guests. The home does not have satellite TV or cable, but it does provide a streaming service, an extensive movie collection, and a gaming system. Thank you!
Marianne B.Oct 2016
We enjoyed our stay very much, it was private and quiet. Comfortable and well-equipped with all necessities. The hot tub is a lovely addition, though small and is very private and easy to use.
Christopher C .Sep 2016
Would not recommend this place - work in progress. Bad location with very small SHARED driveway for parking. Not a private backyard due to neighbor behind.
We are disappointed to see that this experience was negative due to the shared driveway. This has not been a problem for our guests as the neighbor has health issues and rarely leaves the home.
Michael S.Jul 2016
The house itself is nicely decorated and fairly well maintained for a beach house. Parking is difficult to find as it is the driveway PAST the house. The driveway before is not the right driveway and is difficult to get back out. The shared driveway is kind of a pain but as long as you are pulled all the way forward for the neighbor to be able to back out, you will be fine. The house is 0.3 miles on a single lane gravel road to highway 101 and then across highway 101 another 0.1 miles to get to the beach, but we didn't have a problem with that. Nearby beaches were a short drive anyway. Overall a great stay and will definitely be back.
Emily B.Jan 2016
The Getaway is adorable! The house was clean and well maintained-- when first driving up in the dark we were a little concerned about the road in and location to other homes, but upon arrival we fell in love! We plan on making it a tradition to return at least once a year.
Adam & Emily L.Dec 2015
We loved staying in this cute, pet friendly house. It's off the main highway and super quiet. The hot tub was wonderful and very private. The house has a great yard for your pup to come with! Lots of charm and character in the house. Games, DVD's and Netflix too!
Heidi W.Oct 2015
The cabin was so comfortable and CLEAN ( I live on a farm it's almost impossible to keep dust and dirt off the floor). The hot tub was wonderful we used it every night. I loved all of the personal touches the shower was my favorite, and all the light switch covers were so cool. My only complained is that we had to leave. We will be back for sure!
Doug C.Sep 2015
Great place. Don't want to tell anybody else to keep it our secert.
Robin D.Aug 2015
This little vacation home was quite comfortable. My husband, adult daughter and myself were very comfy and pleased. We enjoyed havinging such a short drive to the great tide pools in Yachats and then being able to come back and relax in the hot tub and stretch out on the comfy sofas. The local grocery store was fun to shop in although I'm disappointed that they didn't stop us from buying two bundles of wood before we knew there was a ban on all burning. But, oh well…
We do plan to stay at the Getaway again. Hopefully LONGER this time because we'll not wait to long to reserve our time.
Thanks for a great break at the beach.
Laura H.Aug 2015
It was great for the price, but hard to find the entrance and the hot tub does not work. The parking offered was not available until after 9pm the first night since the neighbor took up the entire driveway. But overall it was a good value and it was clean.
Deborah T.Aug 2015
We usually stay oceanfront when visiting the coast; The Getaway was a great new experience for us! We were still within earshot of the ocean but it was nice being tucked away in the surrounding tranquil woods. With our family of four this cozy house felt like a home away from home. Lots of thought and love put into it. Our kids adjusted quickly and almost didn't want to leave to explore the coast!
We loved the hot tub and how it's situated. It was perfect for grown-up time at night, the spa light and little flashlight/lamp provided just enough needed light. If you have trouble adjusting the temperature and it's flashing SL, it's on sleep mode. We had to Google instructions but it's an easy fix (toggle light and temp buttons, will change to ST, standard mode.)
Your doggie family members will love this place too with room to run around. And don't forget the smores for the firepit!
Inna S.Jul 2015
Was a nice home, and really enjoyed the hot tub and the grill. Would come to this location again!
Pamela C.Jul 2015
Secluded but with beach access at the end of the lane and across the road. The furnishings were great and the little touches like the adorable switch plates made it feel quite homey. The only things I thought could be better was the actual entrance to the driveway needs better markings and it would been nice to have a light in the hot tub area. Zero light for the backyard was a bit odd.
Thanks so much for your review, and we have forwarded your suggestions to the local property manager. We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed the amenities and unique personality of "The Getaway." We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Michael A.Jun 2015
The Getaway is a sweet small house in the woods above the highway. It was well supplied, cozy, clean and comfortable. A great place to return to after a day of exploring the coast.
Sally S.Jun 2015
I loved this home. It felt cozy, lived in, and clean. The hot tub was a nice touch. When we showed up, it was dark and we were unable to find the front door, when we did, we were given the wrong lock box code. Vacasa was open late and able to help me out right away - once we got inside and into the hot tub and I forgot that I was even the least bit miffed.
The stay was lovely and while there there were more than a few homes surrounding the property - it was silent and you could hear the ocean. The only complaint I had was that the yard was overgrown and there was a gap in the fence allowing a neighbors loose dog to come and poo everywhere.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and that despite the initial troubles with lighting and lockbox codes, that you had a great time. We are following up with our property manager to see about getting the fence fixed so that animals cannot get in or out of the yard. Thanks again for this review, we look forward to having you as a guest again soon!
Brooke F.Apr 2015
It's at the very end of a long, bumpy, dirt road, and the only view you're going to have is of the neighbors' houses. But if you're just looking for a no-frills place to stay on the coast, this is a great option. There's only room for one car to park, which was all we needed.
It's clean, the beds are comfortable, and it is packed full of things to do and use. Card games and a Netflix movie were perfect for a rainy night in.
The one thing that I wish I would have known prior to booking is that the hot tub only accommodates 2 people (comfortably at least). That may have changed where we booked.
Julia D.Dec 2014
This is a cute house with lots of great amenities. The beds were comfortable and clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and we felt very comfortable there. Be aware that the shared driveway can only accommodate one car, and that the entrance to the house is on the east side and the house has no identifying markers - I wouldn't advise arriving in the dark like we did. Although some parts of the house are a little shabby (cabinets, shelving, carpets), others are very nice and upscale. Overall, we had everything we needed and more. The house is worth it mostly if you're going to take advantage of the extra amenities like the fireplace, hot tub, quiet yard, and entertainment options (TV, video and board games). They even provided Duraflames for the fireplace! If you're not interested in these amenities, the house may be a little expensive for what you get. However, we had a great time and really enjoyed our stay here!
Deborah S.Nov 2014
Cute & cozy little place to stay. The interior decor touches are unique. Had a great time & the weather was amazing! Not for older people as the walk to the beach is a little farther than advertised. The location is off the road & very quiet. We look forward to visiting again!
