Our first trip up north during the winter and it was fantastic. The house was great. Location was great and easy to get around to everything. Highly recommend this house for any time of the year.

Condo

The condo itself was beautiful, very clean, and in a great location in Minocqua. We really enjoyed the space and the overall feel of the property. That said, there is a significant heating issue worth noting. The upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms are controlled by a thermostat upstairs and heat fine, but the downstairs living area, kitchen, and bathroom rely on a separate sensor thermostat tied to the fireplace. To get the downstairs anywhere near 70°, we had to set the upstairs temperature much higher, which took us a couple of days to figure out. I contacted Vacation Shop, and they were responsive and sent out a very nice technician, Ron Green. He helped assess the situation and discovered that the batteries in the downstairs sensor were dead and the furnace filter was clogged, which helped explain the problem. The only other downside was the television service. Especially upstairs, there was no actual TV service — the TV was just plugged into the wall, so you need to stream your own service to watch anything. Overall, a lovely condo in a great location, but the heating setup and TV situation could definitely use improvement.
