A wonderful Christmas with adult children. We love to cook and the home was well equipped and very clean - fresh crab the the boat and bread from a local market. We LOVE Whales Head beach and the view from the home and hot tub. The bed situation in room two was a little tight with a bunch bed - but otherwise amazing stay.

We are so happy we booked this place and will definitely come back again! It was a perfect adventure pad for a full day exploring the Samuel H Boardman Scenic Corridor and then another full day exploring the Jedidiah Redwoods Park and its giant 2,000 year old trees, near Crescent City! The home itself has the most spectacular view and the hot tub was perfect for evening soaks under the stars. We will be back!

Cabin

Let me start with the things that were great. It had all of the amenities you could want. We were able to cook a couple of meals on the stove and there were plenty of cups, plates, pots, pans and silverware. There were plenty of towels, which was great because there were 5 of us and we showered and used the hot tub quite a bit. The views were beautiful and the neighborhood was quiet. Our cabin was ready before the actual check in time which was nice. Overall, the cabin was clean. We like the fact that the resort is a short drive away from Brookings, the beach and several different ocean access areas. The downstairs bed is comfortable. There are only a few minor things that weren't so great. The front door is very difficult to get open. It sticks and you basically have to throw your entire body into it to get it to open. The wall mount heater wasn't working so we told them about it and they had their maintenance person come out that same day to try and fix it but wasn't able to get it working. They did provide a space heater that was efficient enough to heat the entire cabin. The cutting board was dirty with bread crumbs however, everything else was clean. Overall, we would stay here again and we recommend this cabin for a relaxing stay.

We struggled with the front door. The key pad was difficult to work with. Once we finally got it unlocked the door was extremely hard to open. The views are beautiful.
