Recent Waikiki vacation rental reviews

To start, 4 stars!! I spent 29 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The condo was immaculate and had almost everything you would need (more to come on that). Everything felt brand new and was great quality. Not only was the condo great, but so was the Vacasa support team. Being that I was there for 29 nights, I wanted to try and keep the condo as clean as possible. There were plenty of cleaning supplies, but unfortunately there was no broom and dustpan. I called the support line and within 2 hours a broom and dustpan were dropped off. Super awesome. The condo was on the 22nd floor with great views from the living room (facing towards Waikiki Beach) and the lanai (facing towards Diamond Head). I never used the pool or the hot tub, but I could see that plenty of people did. In terms of COVID protocols, the pool was closed at recurring intervals for cleaning (chairs were sprayed down etc). Masks were required in all common areas (lobby, elevators etc.). There is a small convenience store on the 6th floor that was open until 10. I always forgot it was there and ended up going to ABC, but keep that in mind. Ok so now why only 4 stars and not 5? Well, nothing is perfect! Parking: There was no parking associated with this rental, which is stated clearly in the description. I was able to secure parking by pre-paying 1 week at time with the folks that ran the parking. They were super nice and it was their suggestion to do it that way. There was never a shortage of parking. Laundry: Laundry is shared by the building on the 6th floor. NO issues at all, other than having to go to the 6th floor. Fun fact, you can use quarters or credit cards for the machines. They do have a vending machine with detergent etc, but I brought my own. Household items: I didn't find any beach towels in the condo, but, I didn't really need them as I had brought my own. Also, I didn't find an iron or ironing board. I was moving here and staying here while my apt opened, so I simply bought one, but keep that in mind as we all know some clothes get wrinkled in our suit case. Other than those minor items, all was fantastic! I would definitely book this unit again if needed and would recommend to any family and friends.

I loved staying here at the Marina Tower. I used to live on the 34th Floor so it was nice to revisit this place, this time being on the 39th Floor, The room was nice but there are a few things that felt a little shabby like that big cough in the photos, the carpet and some of the appliances such as the refrigerator were dented. Be forewarned, depending on what time of the year you stay at Marina Tower there can be a lot of congestion as far as the Elevators go. One of them almost always is out of commission so you never know how long you will have to wait for the elevator. It really can take anywhere from an instant arrival to over 10 minutes. The surrounding areas are great as you are next to prime food and shopping but getting out of this area via Uber will be massively expensive because it is a well known tourist spot, this area. I have personally have a soft spot for the Marina Tower so I enjoy any unit here a lot. One thing I do not understand is how this is a dog friendly unit. It really really really is not. It is so small and your dog will be cramped all the way up the sky. I don't know about you but I would consider a dog friendly place as a being one that is on a ground floor with a yard or something. That is the one thing I really do not get about this ad, saying it is a dog friendly unit. I could see small dogs that are mild mannered but any dog bigger than a handbag I really don't get how you'd first of all fit the dog in there without them being miserable as well as you but who am I? Vacasa is great with communication and were very helpful. I appreciate Vacasa a lot and would love to stay here or at any of their other properties!

Waikiki: Honolulu's crown jewel

Waikiki is home to Honolulu's most famous beaches and popular vacation rentals. This stretch of paradise encompasses about eight individual beaches, each offering something different for the thousands of visitors who travel here each year. The legendary Duke Kahanamoku, "the father of modern surfing," honed his craft here. A section of the shore called Duke Kahanamoku Beach, as well as a statue, commemorate him.

The Waikiki Beach Walk directs visitors through the palm trees, offering glimpses of the waves and avenues to the surrounding shops. Upscale shoppers may gravitate toward the Royal Hawaiian Center, where you'll find luxury goods of all kinds. Once you've worked up an appetite, stop by Duke's Waikiki for picturesque tiki drinks and a classic taste of Hawaiian grilling.

Surfing and beyond: Things to do in Waikiki

There's no denying that Waikiki's waves are the main attraction. Surfers from all over the world journey to this beautiful beach to test their skills, and classes are readily available to teach beginners the thrill of surfing.

If surfing isn't for you, you might rent a snorkel mask and get acquainted with the local aquatic life instead. Companies like Waikiki Beach Services can furnish you with a stand-up paddleboard or take you out on a catamaran. Don't miss the opportunity to try outrigger canoe surfing with the famous Waikiki Beach Boys, who keep the tradition alive for visitors to sunny Oahu.

Visiting Waikiki is like stepping into a postcard of paradise. The gorgeous beach paired with chic urban dining, shopping, and entertainment creates a world of possibility for vacationers. Book one of our Waikiki vacation rentals and experience everything you've imagined Hawaii could be.
