This house was everything we wanted and more! We had a group of 10 women and the house was perfect. It had everything we wanted for a girls getaway trip. We booked before we knew they were renovating it and they did a fantastic job. The kitchen is spacious with a beautiful island and pass-through window to the grill. The bathrooms were nicely done! There were 4 paddle boards and a kayak for us to use, the kitchen was well stocked, the sunroom for breakfast and nights was great, and our friend leading a yoga class on the dock was priceless. We’ve stayed at many lake houses before and this one by far has the most stunning views - calm water where you can see all the ripples, beautiful sunsets, and birds soaring above. We rented a pontoon boat from the resort and realized this home is one of the only ones with a flat lawn. The flat lawn is a game changer making it so easy to get in/out of the house to the water and also hours of lawn game. We enjoyed hearing the wedding reception at the resort next door at night and appreciated the lake was quiet by 10pm. The walk over to the resort was less than 5 minutes and a few of us got massages and the restaurant was good too. Overall I highly recommend this property; my friends and I are figuring out how to get back soon.

We loved our stay at Lake Lure and the Hawthorne house. Internet was unavailable when we checked in--but the Vacasa representative helped us get that fixed the next day. Kitchen sink fixture was broken off and the basement had major stains in the carpet plus tiles missing--all easily repaired before the next guest arrives I'm sure. The house is a great family house though--and we would visit again!
