Recent Topsail Beach vacation rental reviews

Loved the views and the ease of accessing the intracoastal or beach! Unfortunately we couldn't use the pool due to weather. The house is very well stocked and made us feel comfortable! It was also pretty clean minus the moldy shower curtain in the hall bathroom. We wished the beds in the bedrooms were bigger. We aren't big people and had a tough time having 2 adults sleep in it. The rooms are big so def could bigger beds there. The lounger in the Master was perfect for our 3 year old to sleep on it. The outside deck was perfect too and we used it a lot! Another plus was the stand up paddle which we took out on our last day and all loved it! The oven didn't work our entire stay which we found out on Tuesday and immediately informed vacasa. We didn't hear back until Thursday which is when I was told over a voice message that someone will stop by without a time or anything. Since this was our last day, we didn't want anyone bothering and I tried calling back without success. When we returned from the beach midday that day, we found a van in the driveway with the handyman inside working on repairing screens which we had no idea about needing fixing. Both bedrooms were accessed without our consent (we had very personal items laying out, wallets, etc.) He also told us he didn't find out about the oven until that day (2 days after we reported it). We found this extremely disturbing! Not only was the oven never fixed, but other "issues" in the home were fixed on our last vacation day without us knowing or even complaining about it all while trying to put 2 little ones down for naps. We 100% blame vacasa for this and this situation was handled very poorly! I called them on Thursday and explained everything and all I was told is that I would hear back from a property manager. 2 days later, I have yet heard from anyone. Repairs like this, should ONLY take place on days of check in/check out and ONLY IF renters agree to have someone there. This was not a good end to our vacation and we do expect an explanation and some sort of compensation to make this right. Loved the house but otherwise would not book with the company again.

The home has all the feels of home and is perfect! Steps from the beach and has everything you need! The views are perfect and it’s in an amazing spot on Topsail. It’s clean and enough room for the whole family. We will definitely be back.

From the moment we contacted Vacasa to book the Avalon rental home to the moment we left, was all a wonderful experience. Vacasa was very attentive to make sure we were satisfied. The house was absolutely perfect and so clean. We loved the beach, the town, the restaurants and the overall atmosphere. We did not want to leave. We will definitely be back and will certainly use Vacasa for our vacation rental, hopefully the Avalon again. We loved it!! Stuart and Anna
