We don't stay any where else when we come to Mesquite. Which is four or five times a year. It is clean and has everything we need. Never have a complaint. Beds are very comfortable.

Plan your Mesquite getaway

Mesquite is a desert base for golf weekends, casino-resort downtime, and wide-open public-land outings that feel far from the busy Las Vegas corridor. Mesquite vacation rentals work well for golfers, couples, groups, and road-trippers who want access to Wolf Creek Golf Club, Skydive Mesquite, the Virgin Valley Heritage Museum, and nearby desert landscapes like Gold Butte National Monument.

As you compare homes, think about whether you want to stay near the resort corridor, close to golf courses, or in a quieter setting with space to recharge after a desert day. Each home is unique, so review listing details for parking, kitchens, pet policies, WiFi, laundry, outdoor space, cooling details, and seasonal access notes before you book.

Things to do in Mesquite

Looking for things to do in Mesquite, NV? Start with golf and resort-style recreation, then add local history, live performance, and nearby BLM landscapes for a trip that reaches beyond the casino corridor.

Wolf Creek Golf Club

Wolf Creek Golf Club is Mesquite’s signature desert golf experience, with dramatic elevation changes and wide views that make a round feel like a full outing. It’s a strong anchor for golf-first trips, group weekends, and travelers building a course rotation around Mesquite.

Best for:

Skydive Mesquite

Skydive Mesquite is the standout high-adrenaline activity for travelers who want one big experience beyond golf, casinos, and pool time. It works well for couples or friend groups looking for a memorable half-day that is more about the thrill than sightseeing.

Best for:

Virgin Valley Heritage Museum

Virgin Valley Heritage Museum is a compact local-history stop that helps visitors understand Mesquite’s roots in the Virgin Valley beyond the modern resort strip. It’s best used as a low-key morning activity or an indoor option before an outdoor afternoon.

Best for:

Mesquite Community Theater

Mesquite Community Theater gives visitors an easy live-performance option without leaving town. Check the current calendar before planning around it, since it works best as a “see what’s on” evening add-on.

Donkey History Museum

Donkey History Museum is an offbeat local stop for travelers who like quirky museums and niche history. It’s a quick, low-pressure option that can add personality to a day built around golf, dining, or errands.

Where to eat in Mesquite

Mesquite dining is best planned around casino resorts and the main commercial corridors. The Virgin River and Eureka Casino area offers buffets, casual counters, and late-night-friendly dining that fits a classic casino-day rhythm, while the West Mesquite retail corridor is useful for quick, casual meals between golf rounds, errands, and day trips.

If you prefer relaxed meals at your rental, check each listing for kitchen setup, dining space, outdoor seating, grill details, and parking. Features vary by home, so confirm the setup that matters most before booking.

Los Lupes Mexican Restaurant

Los Lupes Mexican Restaurant is a long-running, locally recognizable spot for a relaxed sit-down meal. It works well as an easy group dinner after golf, with familiar, unfussy options for different tastes.

Samurai 21

Samurai 21 gives Mesquite travelers a Japanese and sushi option when they want a change from casino buffets and standard casual fare. It’s a good fit for couples or small groups looking for a quieter dinner.

Mesquite local tips

Mesquite events and seasonal highlights

Mesquite can add community theater, showroom entertainment, and local events to a desert stay, but schedules change throughout the year. Before building a trip around a specific event, check the official venue or organizer calendar for current programming.

Mesquite Community Theater can support a refreshable “check what’s playing” module for live performances. CasaBlanca Showroom may also work as event context once the current official venue page is confirmed.

Day trips from Mesquite

Mesquite makes a practical base for desert monument landscapes, conservation areas, and lake recreation when you want a different kind of day from golf and casino time. Plan these as separate outings, and check road conditions, access guidance, fuel, water, and weather before you go.

Gold Butte National Monument

Gold Butte National Monument is a wide-open BLM landscape where the drive, desert scenery, and remote feel are the main draw. It’s the full desert-day choice when you want a trip that feels completely different from Mesquite’s in-town pace.

Beaver Dam Wash National Conservation Area

Beaver Dam Wash National Conservation Area is a BLM-managed landscape for travelers who want a quieter, nature-forward outing within reach of Mesquite. It works well as an alternative to bigger-name parks when your group wants space, simplicity, and desert scenery.

Lake Mead National Recreation Area

Lake Mead National Recreation Area gives Mesquite travelers a desert-lake contrast to golf, casinos, and dryland scenery. Use it for a lake-day outing built around water views, shoreline stops, and wide-open recreation areas.

Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument

Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument is a vast, remote national monument for travelers who want a rugged big-landscape day far removed from town. Treat it as a more ambitious regional excursion, and use the official site to plan around current conditions and access.
