Recent Nevada vacation rental reviews

This house was very clean inside, large and comfortable. Be aware that there is no air conditioning. They say that it does not get hot enough in Tahoe to necessitate it. However, the last three summer visits in 2017, 2019 and 2022 were all hot enough to need it so I beg to differ. Also, the house does need some upkeep. I think it is rented so frequently that they are not having time to freshen up the paint, fix door handles and trim, etc. I was fine with all of that but at this price point, some may not be. The house was very clean(kudos to your cleaning crew), beds were comfortable, property management crew was very responsive, and I really liked that it was a bit removed from downtown, lending itself to great walks around the hilly area. We spent our 25th anniversary there and everyone really enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. Overall, it was a wonderful trip and a really nice place to stay. Thank you so much!

Where is Nevada?

Nevada is located in the Great Basin of the western United States. Made up primarily of an arid desert landscape, the western side of the state is flanked by the Sierra Nevadas and shares the shores of gorgeous Lake Tahoe with Californa.

Things to Do in Nevada

Some of the best rock climbing in the country happens at Red Rock Canyon, while hikers can trek the few short, defined trails in the Black Rock Desert or blaze their own path in the wild and undeveloped canyons and ridgelines. The Ruby Crest Trail in Lamoille Canyon, a 40-mile route across the Ruby Mountain Ridge, offers diehards a spectacular look at glacial peaks, lush meadows, and vibrant wildflowers.

The Children's Discovery Museum has exhibits and hands-on activities for young travelers while the Fleischmann Planetarium in Reno features shows and interactive displays to help visitors of all ages tour the universe. Visit Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary to learn about unique species of birds and wildlife preservation.

Nevada's numerous art galleries feature local, regional, and national artists working across all mediums. You'll have the chance to view a thousand-year-old Columbian mammoth at Nevada State Museum, world-class art at Nevada Museum of Art, and otherworldly sculptures at the Goldwell Open Air Museum near Rhyolite, one of Nevada's well-known ghost towns.

In addition to the annual Burning Man gathering, Nevada hosts a number of unique festivals and events, like the Great Reno Balloon Races, Great Basin Astronomy Festival, and the Life is Beautiful Music and Art Festival.

If you're headed for Lake Tahoe, check out our rentals in charming Genoa or near the casinos and nightlife of Crystal Bay. Wherever you stay, you can rest assured that time spent in our convenient and well-maintained Nevada cabin rentals and vacation homes will enhance your unforgettable getaway.
