Our stay was fantastic! We rented both the beautiful main farmhouse and the separate lovely studio downstairs for our whole family which included us, the parents, our two sons, wives and 5 grandchildren. It was perfect and everybody loved it. It was beautifully decorated and provided lots of special touches. It was so roomy and comfortable; definitely “home away from home.” It was nestled in the country, but still convenient to Kansas City amenities. The farmhouse is literally equipped with everything you will need including fully stocked kitchen, and appliances, laundry room, 1/2 bathroom on main floor, loft upstairs with 3 great bedrooms as described in advertisement, plenty of towels and toiletries. It is on a farm, so they have a chicken coop in the front yard, down the hill are the sheep, goats, cows, and a funny goose. David was an excellent and very accommodating host. He provided grain to feed the animals, except for maybe the goose because he sees himself as guardian of the barn. Our grandchildren loved feeding and petting the animals, not goose, of course. The hosts went above and beyond to provide an amazing stay for us. We even had a fresh homemade loaf of bread, stick of butter and a dozen fresh eggs in the refrigerator when we arrived. We would give more than 5 stars if we could. It was absolutely a beautiful home and extraordinary hosts. We will definitely stay here again when in the Kansas City area.
