Make Michigan your next getaway

Sometimes called the “Great Lakes State,” Michigan is a part of the Midwest that has a little bit of everything. Detroit, Michigan’s largest city, is one of America’s most vibrant cultural hubs, boasting Motown music’s origins and a rich heritage of car history, among other markers. People from across the state and beyond venture out to Michigan vacation rentals for the chance to enjoy one of the four Great Lakes that touch the state, or perhaps one of its thousands of smaller inland lakes. Reserve your spot at a Michigan cabin or lake house rental, and you’ll have a front-row seat to all this lovely state has to offer.

Recent Michigan vacation rental reviews

This house had a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable spaces, including the bedrooms. There was bonus wildlife viewing (deer, turkeys, squirrels).

The location of the unit was second to none. Having 2 bed/bath suites was so comfortable when our friends came for the night.

We loved the hot tub, the cozy fireplace, and the quiet as we nestled among the trees to relax and recuperate from several busy months. The nearby restaurants were excellent although we enjoyed cooking breakfasts and lunches at the house - would love to come back when there is more open (and less bitter wind!) for poking around in shops and hiking.

Michigan’s Great Lakes

With the southeastern corner touched by Lake Erie and the sparsely-populated Upper Peninsula bordered by Lake Superior, this state is surrounded by Great Lakes from end to end. Lake Michigan sits directly west of its namesake and is home to fantastic lakeside destinations like Harbor Springs. Folks venture out to a lake cabin on the shores of Lake Michigan for summer vacation, and there they enjoy the scenery of forested shores between long afternoons out boating on the lake. The other side of the state finds itself adjacent to Lake Huron, where there are plenty of lighthouses to be spotted and fish to be caught.

If you’re traveling to Michigan, you’ll want to book a comfortable cabin rental or vacation home. Once you’re feeling settled, you’ll be ready to explore all this amazing state has to offer.
