Nice place.
Susan B. | Sep 2021
We had a great stay at this cozy Cape cottage. Very comfortable for 7 adults and one baby. Loved the deck space and outdoor shower! About 200 yards from the beach and 200 yards from the main road, we were able to conveniently enjoy the beauty of the ocean and what Brewster has to offer. Only one complaint - they confirmed in advance that they had beach chairs (plural) and there was only one chair there. So bring your own chairs and get ready for a lovely Cape experience!

We loved that everything we needed was right here. We made good use of the bike path nearby for walking running and biking. Thank you for the cleanliness we came to.

Where is Brewster, MA?

This Lower Cape town hugs the southern edge of Cape Cod Bay, just north of the Mid-Cape Highway at the point where the hook begins to rise. You'll be seven miles north of the tranquil village of Harwich, nine miles northwest of quaint downtown Chatham, and 15 miles northeast of the commercial and transportation hub of Hyannis.

Going to the Beach in Brewster, MA

The Old Kings Highway, also known as Route 6A, is lined with art galleries, antique shops, and historic mansions-turned-restaurants, inns, and shops. But it's also the access point for Brewster's saltwater beaches - all of which sit on the coast of Cape Cod Bay.

Guests at our vacation rentals in Brewster can spend their days on Paine's Creek Beach, Mant's Landing Beach, Saint's Landing Beach, Breakwater Beach, Point of Rocks Landing Beach, Ellis Landing Beach, Linnell Landing Beach, or Crosby Landing Beach (listed from west to east). And if you time your visits for low tide, you'll find that you can often walk nearly one mile out into the lovely bay water.

Interested in exploring a few other nearby beaches? You can admire the open Atlantic Ocean on Lighthouse Beach or swim in Nantucket Sound at Harding's Beach, both of which are just 10 miles southeast in Chatham. You'll also find sections of the stunning Cape Cod National Seashore beginning 10 miles east.

Things to Do in Brewster, MA

With more than one-third of Brewster's 23 square miles designated as open space, protected watershed, and recreational land, visitors are never more than a few miles from outdoor splendor.

Spend a day (or several) wandering the 1,900-acre expanse of Nickerson State Park, which features an amphitheater, hiking trails, and an eight-mile biking path that connects with the famous 22-mile Cape Cod Rail Trail. Higgins Pond is perhaps the park's most popular spot for trout fishing, while Flax Pond is an ideal place for freshwater swimming and canoeing. Among Brewster's other scenic ponds, you'll find summer lifeguards on duty at Long Pond Beach and the historic Stony Brook Grist Mill & Museum on the edge of Mill Pond.

Interested in playing a round of championship golf? The Captains Golf Course offers the 18-hole Port Course and the 18-hole Starboard Course, a staff of PGA professionals, and a well-stocked pro shop - all of which are open to the public. The baseball lovers in your family can also spend the summer cheering for the Brewster Whitecaps, the local Cape Cod Baseball League team that makes its home at Stony Brook Field.

Plan a trip to Brewster and let our vacation rentals show you how much family fun can be had in Cape Cod!
