House

**Overall, we had a lovely stay and would absolutely consider coming back, possibly for our girls’ trip next year.** The house itself was clean, well put together, and very comfortable. There was plenty of space for everyone, and we especially loved that each bedroom had its own exterior door — that was a really nice touch. The home had everything we needed, with lots of space heaters in addition to central heat, which made it very cozy. There were a few issues during our stay that we feel are worth mentioning for future guests. When we arrived, the cleaners were still there and let us know the property had been left in rough shape by the previous guests. We were told it would be about an hour before we could get in, but it ended up being closer to two hours. They mentioned they had been trying to reach the host for several hours without success. When we later contacted the host about compensation for the delayed check-in, he did call to offer a late checkout; however, the interaction felt a bit rushed and dismissive, which was disappointing given the situation. The late checkout also didn’t end up being very helpful, as we needed to leave on time to travel home. We also ran into a couple of maintenance-related issues. The coffee pot appeared to be malfunctioning and wasn’t really usable. One night, the power went out in the main living room area. While it wasn’t a major issue, it did happen late at night, and we had to locate and flip the breaker ourselves. The breaker box was located in a very dark, unlit area of the yard, and several exterior lights around the property were out. Trash was another challenge during our stay. The cleaners filled the garage with trash bags that didn’t fit into the already-full dumpsters outside. We were told trash would be picked up during our stay, but it never was. By the last day, the smell had become quite strong, and animals had begun getting into the dumpsters. Despite these issues, we truly enjoyed the space, the layout, and the overall comfort of the home. With a few improvements and better communication, this could be an exceptional place to stay. We had a great time overall and would still consider returning in the future!
