Recent Cortez vacation rental reviews

This home was truly a home away from home. We were able to accommodate all visitors comfortably. It was a family reunion of sorts and the kids absolutely loved the nice big back yard. Parking was sufficient and all needs were met. Grocery stores and restaurants close by. And casino is less than 30 min.

We enjoyed our time in Cortez but the house needed more maintenance. As I said, everything that needed to be clean was. But, outside was not maintained at all. They advertise four places to sit outside but there was little to no maintenance to the outside areas. Cob webs ruled outside. The screened in porch had no door and torn screening so what is the point in a "screened in porch"? They also advertise more than one parking place and RV parking. No way. We needed none of it, but there were two trucks and a car parked there. People coming twice a day to change out cars. I have a lot more to say, but won't. I emailed the owner directly to address the many concerns but had no return response.

My wife and I, and another couple stayed 4 nights while visting Mesa Verde. This was a fantastic find. The hosts know what they are doing. Nice park like setting, with beautiful outdoor setting. We appreciated the small things - the multiple hummingbird feeders were a nice touch. We felt like we were in Tuscany. Fun to watch the dogs work with the sheep. Location is ideal for a Mesa Verde visit. We will use this one again as a base when we do some of the western Utah parks. Highly recommended.

The place was amazing! Looks like many of the pinto bean processing facilities in the area from the outside but inside is a wonderful home. It was certainly overkill for just 2 people but my wife and I loved the place. The craftsmanship in the conversation was top notch, no corners cut. A lot of attention was paid to the little details in the finish work. The handcrafted metal work through out the place was done by a true metal artist- paper towel holders, towel holders, an inside and outside table, signs, an outdoor fireplace!!! Incredible work! The view of Sleeping Ute Mountain and the surrounding fields were beautiful. We sat outside every night and watched stars and meteors. We happened to be there during the Perseid meteor shower. The place is well situated for a base to visit many places in the 4 corners area. We loved it!
