Absolutely incredible stay! This cabin exceeded all of our expectations. The home was spotless, beautifully designed, and surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. One of our favorite parts was the spacious and comfortable great room — the perfect place to relax after a day outdoors, with plenty of room for everyone to gather and unwind.
The location was ideal, with easy access to some of the best hiking in Colorado. We spent our days exploring the world-class trails nearby and our evenings soaking in the hot tub under the stars. Easy striking distance to fine dining in Breckenridge or the mountain town charm of Fairplay. The kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were extremely comfortable, and every detail made the home feel warm, welcoming, and luxurious. It was the perfect mountain getaway, and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

Early check-in was available, which made a real difference on a holiday weekend. We arrived, dropped our bags, and got straight out to explore — that kind of flexibility is rare and genuinely appreciated.
Everything was exactly as advertised. Photos are accurate, the amenity list is honest, and nothing felt like a bait-and-switch. The kitchen was genuinely well-stocked — not just the basics, but thoughtful touches like humidifiers for the altitude, robes and slippers for the hot tub, and quality cookware. We cooked full meals and had everything we needed.
The furniture was comfortable and the layout worked really well for a group of three.
The views are the headline. The hot tub on the deck facing the mountains is everything you'd hope for on a cold mountain evening. We used it every night.
Location-wise, you can't beat it. Downtown Alma is a short walk, Fairplay is 6 miles down the road, Breckenridge is 16 miles north, and trailheads — including Kite Lake with access to multiple fourteeners — are within 20 minutes. We hiked two days and barely had to think about logistics.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a well-run, dog-friendly mountain cabin with serious views and easy access to everything the area has to offer.

The cabin itself is stunning. The views are unmatched and the place is very nice. What is not mentioned in the listing and should be shared up front is that this house is located at 11,300 ft. above sea level. We struggled to breathe and felt sick the entire stay, in fact we left a day early and we were told no refunds. It should be advertised that this home is located in the town with the highest altitude in the entire United States (google Alma, CO).
