This was our second time staying at Baywatch, but our first time booking through Vacasa. We will definitely be booking through Vacasa in the future because it was the cheaper than other websites (like Booking.com, Hotels.com, etc), plus you get to pick the specific room you want. It was a major plus to be able to choose which floor we wanted to be on and to know before check in where we'd be, rather than it being a surprise when we arrive and possibly getting stuck with a bottom floor room. The room actually looked like the photos, and was exactly as listed. Having a washer and dryer plus a full size microwave, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and a garbage disposal was amazing! The kitchen came fully stocked, the freezer had an ice maker, and the appliances appeared new. We also liked that there was a full size dining table with chairs to eat at.
At first the 10 digit door code seemed like a hassle, but we ended up preferring that to a key card or even a Bluetooth key on our phone (which often doesn't work). It was nice to not have to worry about keeping up with a key card, we just took a picture of the code so we could get it off of our phones.
Another major plus was the option to add a late check out (2 pm rather than 10 am) for only $11 extra, we loved that! The only small issue was that our door code was deactivated around 1:30, which was right in the middle of us taking our bags out of the room. Luckily I was still inside so I could open the door for my boyfriend, but it would've been a pain in the butt if we had both left the room.
The pools and hot tubs outdoors and indoors were very clean, and they were always open during the posted hours (we've stayed at other resorts where that wasn't always the case). The parking garage is a little tight, but that's to be expected. I did notice that someone came through and picked up trash over night. Overall it was a great experience, and we will be back!
