Recent Carpinteria vacation rental reviews

While the condo was lovely, it was never disclosed that the pool/jacuzzi area was completely closed while the complex was working on an over 10 unit balcony renovation. There was constant hammering and construction work from early morning until the end of the work day. This was never mentioned in the advertisement and not told to us prior to coming to the condo. It has clearly been going on for months so there was plenty of time for Vacasa to become aware of the situation. I would not have booked if I had known about this as we were looking forward to using the pool and jacuzzi as it was too cold to swim at the beach. I do feel we were misled about the amenities and state of the complex.

Clean dependable instructions very clear. Best location in carpinteria. Great value literally 100 steps to the beach. Awesome accommodation with great appliances and WiFi TV in good working condition. It even has heater inside the bathrooms A+. The beach chairs, towels, beach towels and games were in very good condition. More than enough towels for everyone for a family of six. Did I mention the great quilted blankets here?

From here you can explore bluff trails for an afternoon stroll - but keep your eyes open, you might just see seals, sea lions, and perhaps even grey whales! When you leave your beach bungalow, head to the Carpinteria Salt Marsh Reserve for bird watching, the state beach for surfing, or Carpinteria Bluffs Nature Preserve for a day of hiking. And if you visit in August, you'll be in town for the annual California Avocado Festival - three days of live music (four stages), avocado-themed contests (hello, largest avocado), and of course the best guacamole!

From here, you can head west along the coast to Santa Barbara for wine tasting or further southeast to spend time in the neighboring town of Ventura. Although you could opt for a scenic afternoon drive along Highway 101, if you stay put in town you can enjoy a sunny afternoon looking for shells along the beach and working up an appetite. Popular restaurants right in town include Zookers for banana-crusted salmon or the Worker Bee Cafe hearty breakfasts, lunches, and coffee drinks. Of course, at your Carpinteria vacation cottage you'll have a full kitchen to whip up your own culinary creations!
