Formerly known as "Pink Palace", Sunset View in Gulf Shores has unobstructed views of the Gulf, Little Lagoon, and the dunes of the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge. The owners bought the home for the sunsets over the Gulf, but learned that the morning sun lights the dunes for even more beauty. The short drive along West Beach Boulevard west from the “T” at the terminus of Highway 59 to the end of the road takes you from the excitement at The Hangout to a calm setting in the dunes surrounded by palm trees.

The house is just steps from a beach that is uncrowded and stretches for miles in front of the Wildlife Refuge, so it is easy to find a private spot to enjoy. Sunset View has the advantage of being located in the exclusive West Beach neighborhood of Laguna Key. Laguna Key features a shared pool and tennis court with a basketball goal, as well as a private walkway to the beach and two piers on Little Lagoon with easy access for a kayak or canoe. Two open and two covered decks outfitted with comfortable furniture expand the living space outdoors and invite you to enjoy the views or a meal beneath the summer moon as it reflects off the sparkling Gulf water. A crow's nest atop the property is the perfect spot to watch the surf or stargaze on a clear night. The house also features a screened room on the ground floor and a sunroom on the main level as well as four TVs.
