OVERVIEW
Entire lakefront home on Togus Pond with decks, canoe, firepit & great view
Beautifully situated on the banks of Worromontogus Lake just outside downtown Augusta, this waterfront home is the perfect escape for two couples or a group of friends seeking both privacy and togetherness at the water's edge.
This lakefront home is made up of two separate living spaces, each with its own entrance - a one-bedroom lower level and an upstairs studio. The house sits on the banks of Togus Pond (as it's known locally) - a 654-acre lake with depths of up to 49 feet, where it's not uncommon to spot bald eagles, geese, beavers, and turtles. This certified wildlife habitat is an ideal home base for those looking to be convenient to Augusta on their way to or from Acadia National Park.
Your visit begins on the window-lined main floor, where you can take in a view of the lake from nearly every room. There's a full kitchen where you can prepare breakfast each morning, decks on both sides of the house where you can bring your coffee, and even a provided canoe to take out for a morning paddle. The rest of the day can be spent reading in the sunroom, relaxing in the living room, and gathering with your loved ones around the outdoor fire pit.
There's one bedroom (as well as the sunroom) on the main floor, as well as a separate studio upstairs. The studio enjoys gorgeous views of the lake on three sides, a private balcony among the treetops, and its own full bathroom, twin daybed with trundle (sleeps two) , and mini-fridge and microwave (but no full kitchen). Other recent updates include air conditioning, free high-speed WiFi, and Roku TV for use with guest log in.
