The ambiance and comfort of the condo

Our family had a wonderful time. We enjoyed our stay and the location is perfect.
Phromporn P. Apr 2022
- spacious with 3B/2B for 4 of us to spread around
- location. Cross the small streets and everything from grocery to bike rental to visitor center, gift shop, ice cream shops etc are right there
- well stocked. We should looked into all the closets before buying an expensive sled in Bend. Helmets were also there. Plenty of kitchen items too.
- Generally clean
- 2 plates stuck together and a crumb was found in one bowl. So we ended up loaded the dishwasher or wash everything before we use.
- Thick dust collected on lamps near the bed. Looked like someone already tried to clean them with damp clothes or similar but little beads of dust were still there.
- 2 out of 5 bikes had tire problem. One (the purple) was obvious, we couldn’t pump it so we left that one home. Another kid one wasn’t that obvious so we took it out and it gotten flatter on the way. So that was a bigger problem that made my kid rather unhappy to bike :/
- Bike pump was definitely needed and spare some time to pump up. Luckily we brought one.

If I could change one thing, it would be to go ahead and rent the bikes. Save time and sweat on calming my kid (and myself) down from pumping and the flat tires later on.
Manager response:

Perks: Walking distance to village. Next to Starbucks. Clean, enough space for family of four. Nice gas fireplace that warmed the unit well. Cozy furniture, large dining table. Pool towels provided. Washer and dryer in unit. 8 SHARC passes.

Downfalls: Downstairs unit, so you hear every footstep above you. Door handle going out back bedroom door fell off when touched. Only one key, so if you go different places, only one of you can get back in. Horribly small parking lot, especially for the number of large vehicles there. Bedroom TV remote only works when you point it at a certain angle. No board games, only puzzles. Shower sprayer in master would only point down at an awkward angle.
Manager response:
Becky, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are happy you enjoyed the location and layout of this home. We have passed your comments along to our local manager who will work with the homeowner to make any updates, or necessary upgrades for future guests' pleasures and comforts. We hope to host you again!

Great location right by village and grocery store. Great back deck and grill and a good selection of bikes. Kitchen well stocked, especially for stovetop meals.
Lauren B. Aug 2021
We enjoyed the location and amenities (bikes/kitchen) in the condo. As noted by other guests, the upstairs unit is extremely loud and the walls are thin leading to early wake ups. We could hear everything above us. The carpets were stained and the bathrooms could be updated. But overall a great location and Sunriver was a fun spot to visit.
Manager response:
Hi, Lauren! We have had the carpets cleaned. Thank you for staying with us!
Amber W. Aug 2021
We loved staying at this condo. Everything was really nice and the location couldn't be more perfect. There were tons of bikes to choose from and a backyard for the kids to play. The people above were a little noisy but that's to be expected with a condo. We will definitely book again.
Pmw W. Jun 2021
This property has sharc passes but be aware you can't use it unless you reserve on line, for the weekend only, the site was a disaster, and talk about 2 boys that was very very upset, let alone the weather was extremely hot won't be going to sunriver again.
Manager response:
Hello, Paulette, we apologize for the misunderstanding with SHARC. Since it is not managed by VACASA we have no control over the limitations or requirements they may have set for guests.
Erik G. Mar 2021
This home was great for our family. Cozy and warm in a good location. As others have noted, noise from upstairs is a bit annoying, but not a deal breaker. Bikes and BBQ were nice. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook several meals. For a family home, I would prefer some twin beds, but everything was comfortable.
Cindy G. Aug 2020
I loved the location best and the amenities.
We didn’t Have a small child this time but sometimes we do and so having a crib , high chair and small bikes available with helmets is a nice touch. The bigger bikes we did use this time with our teenage girls and We had a great time. I loved being so close to the village and also the shark. The passes that were available to us were nice there was suppose to be 8 but only 7 when we arrived. We only ended up with four of us going so it didn’t cause a problem for us.
Aaron H. Jan 2020
You can’t beat the location! Right next to Village and just a short walk to the Lodge.
Only drawback is that you can hear the neighbors walking/stomping around upstairs. Never heard the neighbors next door though. Just turn up your white noise to block out the upstairs noise.
Antonio G. Nov 2019
Todo perfecto
Dewey C. Oct 2019
Great location....Great amenities.....Wonderful home. The only issue we had was the folks upstairs were very noisy.
Holly M. Aug 2019
We loved the condo with the amenities, just wish with our soccer schedule we could’ve gotten to enjoy it a bit more. 3 beds with lots of room. Bikes were a plus and water passes were great!
Roberta B. May 2019
We loved our stay here in central Oregon. This condo is right next to the main Sunriver grocery store with the bike paths right behind. There are restaurants and stores right there in the main area as well. The bikes were in great condition and we were able to go all over Sunriver on them together. I loved the variety in bike sizes for the kids. The kitchen was well stocked and the grill was awesome. They had a good supply of kitchen, laundry, and bathroom items.
The floors are a bit thin so we did hear the people upstairs and there were many people in and out until early hours of the morning slamming doors, but that probably depends on who is staying there at the time of your visit.
Overall, it was a very relaxing stay in a great location. We'd stay there again.
Xi Z. Mar 2019
Very convenient location --grocery store, coffee shop and ski rental are within walking distance. Plenty of room for my family of 4.
Corry C. Jul 2018
My family and I enjoyed staying here. It was a great location with all the amenities that my family I would need. We went with two small children (3 1/2 and 11month old) and having the bikes and attachments were a life saver. We were not used to using the convection oven but we managed to figure it out. The location the the village and SHARC (short bike ride) were key for use with the young ones. We encountered a few small maintenance issues which were resolved promptly. I would totally stay here again in the future.
Jeffrey P. Jul 2018
So comfortable and the perfect location. The house had exactly we needed and was within walking distance to everything.
Kristin L. May 2018
1 Abbott house is in the middle of Sunriver. Walking distance to everything.
Anne Mette S. Apr 2018
This is a cozy and comfortable 3 bedroom unit right next to the viiage
Erin W. Feb 2018
This was such a convenient location, right behind the grocery store in Sunriver. The Vacasa staff was great to work with and made sure we had what we needed!
Maria C. Aug 2017
This condo has everything you need to enjoy a relaxing stay. Plenty of towels, soap etc. Beds are comfy. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies, The grocery store is just across the parking lot in front of the condo and the bike/walking trails run along the back. Brand new BBQ on deck all in all very nicely set up.
Sunriver village is just a few steps away.
Sara G. Aug 2017
We have stayed at 2 other condos in Abbot so this one felt surprisingly spacious with an extra bedroom and bathroom. Very comfortable, very quiet, excellent location. The bikes weren't the greatest, but was enough to get us around. Overall we had a fabulous time and can't wait to return.
Jeremy M. Jul 2017
Three bedrooms, living area, deck, and right next to all the amenities. Very good
Mandi H. Jul 2017
This was our first visit to SunRiver and were extremely happy with the location of the Abbot House. I don't think we could have been in a better spot. It was easy to find, right next to the grocery store, and has immediate access to the bike path. The SHARC passes were awesome and I loved that we were able to access the boat ramp for free with the pass.

I thought I'd comment on a few of the other reviews that I read about before renting out this house... One review said the bikes were terrible and made it sound like they were unridable. Because of that, we brought our own bikes. We didn't ride the ones there but, really, they didn't look that terrible. A couple of the seats were torn but they appeared to be in pretty decent shape otherwise.

Another review mentioned how loud the people were above them. Honestly, at night, I was able to hear every step the people above took. I could tell that the people were trying to be quiet but each step they took made a squeak. If you are an extremely light sleeper, you might want to bring a white noise machine or put the fan in the bedroom... overall it wouldn't deter me from staying here again.
David P. May 2017
We stayed here for a youth baseball tournament where we were going to Bend daily. The unit was good for us because it is right by the grocery store and provided easy access to Hwy 97. It is an end unit with main and auxiliary patios and opens onto a lawn area. Great place to host some friends and kids for a BBQ. Bikes and SHARC passes are excellent amenities.
Emily J. Feb 2017
Great, affordable place. Very close to shops and trail. Worked well for our two year old as well during our week long stay! Safe and not too much she could get into trouble with. Would stay again.
Jim C. Dec 2016
The property was outstanding. Beds were comfortable. Gas fireplace in the living room just made it that much more cozy with great atmosphere. The size of the property inside was very comfortable and would be easy to stay an extended period of time without feeling cramped! The only draw back on our stay was there were several children upstairs and so lotsa stomping around. The process was easy. Booked online, received email with peretentent info and that was that
April S. Sep 2016
The condo was nice, and clean (other than the little things that were missed by the cleaners). It's a great location, very close to everything.
Kleva V. Sep 2016
comfortable unit.
Keum B. Sep 2016
Very dated furniture and pots and pans are all very worn but had everything we needed and everything was very clean. Location was awesome! Everything just a few feet away. Bikes were old but all worked fine. The SHARC passes were really nice especially for our family of three children. Showers were clean and great water pressure. With just a little updating it would be perfect! All in all would not hesitate to book again.
Denise D. Aug 2016
Very near the shops, grocery. Walk out the back porch to big grassy area to play on. Bike Paths in the back too. Paths take you everywhere! Fun to go on a river raft excursion starting at the village. Great bike rides. Wonderful pool!!!!!!!!!! Great for kids. Can ride there from this location. Very spacious condo. Can fit 6 comfortably with no problems.
Jennifer L. Aug 2016
The absolute best part of this property is the location! I think it's as close to the village as you can possibly get, the epitome of convenience. Good space, nothing fancy but comfortable. Bikes worked...but they could use some serious tune ups. Overall loved our stay here!
Andrea R. Aug 2016
Very close to the village (think 90 second walk to grocery store). Beds were comfortable. Furnishings are a little worn and outdated, but I knew that at booking and knew we wouldn't be inside much. Nice for a short quick trip when your mostly out and about.
Kari B. Jun 2016
Great location and lots of room. Convection oven is tricky and the tv is weird in the master but the baths are clean and it's fairly quiet if the condo above you is empty.
Andrew G. May 2016
this is a nice property and the staff was so helpful to us. thank you
Wendy H. Oct 2015
Roomy and comfortable for family of 6. Close and easy walk to village.
Mary C. Oct 2015
Great place, neat, clean, updated bathrooms- master is small but serviceable, fantastic water pressure. Comfy bed (master anyway) extra blankets are cozy cotton too, many pillows, kitchen is updated and has all the essential cookware/utensils, garden window makes the space seem bigger and homey, appliances, cookware were basic but in good order. The couch is huge, easily seats five adults, and good place for PM nap! Walking trails-right out the door, the store- across the street, and village shops -just another few steps away, all nestled in the pines, what a great place! They have bicycles, a high chair for wee folk, games and movies- though we did not use any it was good to know for next time -and there will be a next time!- regardless. Only minus is that the Floors between levels are old and thin, so you can hear every step above, but it is a fabulous place!
Linn B. Oct 2015
No need to drive to enjoy lots that Sun River has to offer - with nature right outside your windows and patio
Carla S. Sep 2015
I slept like a dream. There were a few minor maintenance issues, but if those are taken care of, this is a great place to stay. It is steps away from the Country Store and the Village Mall. For a small condominium, it is roomy and pleasant. The only caution I would give is if you don't like gas burners or convection ovens, because that is all that is available in this unit.
Anthony L. Aug 2015
abbot house lane #1 is a great location for first time sunriver visitors or anyone with children younger than 5yrs old. The shops/restaurants are within 100yards walking distance, thre is a large grassy area in the backyard to play (its unfenced though) and the biking paths are 20 feet outside the backdoor and we found 5+ bikes in the backyard to use. The SHARC passes were great too!
Tamara B. Mar 2015
It was a relaxing break. The house was cute and the kitchen was clean. The beds were cozy. I would rent this place again, except we missed not taking our two little dogs. No pets!!! But, my grand daughter loved being close to the Ice cream store!!!
Monica S. Mar 2015
What a convenient location! And having SHARC passes included was a nice savings. Thank you!
Tara O. Jan 2015
This is the fourth Abbot house unit we've been in. We stay in this building because family owns one of the units and we want to be near them. Most of the units have a somewhat cavelike feel because of the way they were built.
This year, we weren't able to get a pet-friendly unit, so we went for Abbot House 1 because it had more bedrooms and more than one bathroom (SO MUCH NICER!). This unit was much more up to date and spacious than the other units we've stayed in. Lots of windows, 3 entrances and plenty of room for our 4 adults and 2 children. The back patio was perfect with access to lots of snow for our little ones to play in.

Also, you can't beat Abbot House's location for convenience to the Village and grocery market. It's so nice not to have to strap our little kids into their carseats to go everywhere. We pulled them around on a sled and they were thrilled.

As much as we love our little doggy, we'll likely opt to leave him at home again and stay in this unit.

Donna D. Jan 2015
This place was well appointed and comfortable for our family of three, even had a third BR that we didn't use. We appreciated the TV's, though cable malfunctioned in the snow; and the kitchen was well appointed for cooking our meals in. Views out into the trees made for a peaceful setting, even with one facing a road; we just closed the curtain at night. We liked being close to the market, just a walk across the street and through the parking lot, and driving to SHARC wasn't bad, especially since we could change there afterward. Furniture and beds were comfortable, and all in all, the roomy condo was just right for some good family time and just a 20 minute drive to Mt. Bachelor.
Dana W. Oct 2014
Our family stayed here for a visit with our son whose in a local firefighter program and goes to COCC. We had all the comforts from home and wonderful family time. Close to everything.
Anne C. Sep 2014
We enjoyed our stay & would stay here again. Our condo was clean, convenient to the Village, very homey & restful. Plenty of supplies in the kitchen.
Linda O. May 2014
I stayed in this condo with 2 girlfriends for 3 nights. It was perfect for the 3 of us, with 3 queen beds each in its own room, and two full bathrooms, and washer/dryer. Nicely appointed kitchen with awesome picture window. Comfy family room with mini stereo and large tv. Nice little back patio with table and chairs and 5 bikes. Right on the wonderful bike path! It is an end bottom unit so has nature view out the back and side with lots of trees. We saw deer out back in the mornings. It was very quiet in the area. You do hear a few footsteps from the upstairs condo but it wasn't a big deal, and you did not hear any voices or other noise...must be well insulated. The location is perfect for walking to the Village shops and restaurants. Sharc and the Lodge aren't far either. We could have stayed a lot longer and found plenty to do!
Manager response:
Thanks for this great review! We're thrilled that you enjoyed this lovely home and were happy with the bedrooms and comfortable living room. Biking in this area is so beautiful. It's nice to know that you put the bikes to good use. We hope you come back for another visit and enjoy more time in the area.
Tiffany H. Mar 2014
Staying right next to the Village Mall was great! Making meals was easy with the grocery store so close and it was nice having a kitchen. We loved being able to ride the Cruiser bikes provided around all the wonderful Sunriver bike paths (a bike path picks up right outside the condo!).
Maureen H. Mar 2014
The only downfall were the upstairs neighbors!

Great support from Vacasa!!!!!
Manager response:
Thanks for the review. We apologize for the noise but appreciate you letting us know.
Kari M. Mar 2014
This was a really great condo! I wish we could have stayed longer. My friend who has a dog stayed in unit 3 - also managed by Vacasa - While we were there we used the cruiser bikes to enjoy the trails. We also took in the Sunriver Mudslinger event! It was a perfect spring day!
Margaret T. Oct 2013
We had a great stay at Abbot House Lane #1! The layout and size was perfect for our family of four. Our kids loved staying so close to the village mall and the bike paths are easily accessible. The condo has been obviously remodeled and is very clean and comfortable. We hope to stay there again. Our only complaint is the noise from the unit upstairs, although I guess that is to be expected to some extent in a condo. Overall, condo was NICE!
Steve N. Jun 2013
No 1 Abbott house was a great rental choice. The unit was very clean, nice furniture, nice bikes, our daughter loved the retro one. The location was very convenient to the village. We would stay at property again.. Thank You,
Tom W. May 2013
Nice property - good location, well apointed and perfectly comfortable. Only issue is that you can hear occupants of upstairs condo walking around - thats kind of annoying.
Kim B. Mar 2013
Great location. The bikes were all in good condition. Will definately stay here again.
Tyler C. Jul 2012
Very close to the Village, the Lodge, the SHARC, etc. Only noise was upstairs neighbors, but only for a few minutes each morning. Spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bath. Great kitchen and laundry in the unit. Used the grill to cook. Partial A/C does a fantastic job. Was in the high 80's our entire trip. Always comfortable inside. Beware...there is no internet access in this unit. There are plenty of free hot spots around the Village.
Andra S. Oct 2011
Very convenient condo for events @ Sunriver Resort. Close to stores and restaurants.
Debbie I. Sep 2011
I've heard about Sunriver for a while now but didn't know where to stay where everything was, etc. My interaction with Vacasa was flawless and very easy. Our condo was in a prime spot - walking distance to the Village! (Also because it was in prime spot, there was a lot of foot traffic in/around the condo too). I agree with the other comment of how you could easily hear the folks upstairs moving about, but it was quite ok with us. We would love to go back and spend more time in Sunriver and we will definitely use Vacasa again :)
Manager response:
Thank you for your review! We appreciate your business and we look forward to having you back!
Jim D. Aug 2011
Abbott Condo #1
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, we look forward to your return!
Kimberly C. Jul 2011
We loved this place! After renting 3 different places in sunriver, this was our favorite! It seemed to have everything we even thought we needed including stuff for my 2 year old. Nicely furnished and very clean! I only deducted a star because of the noise from the 2nd floor. I expected it for an older condo, but it was still loud when people were walking around at 5:30am :(
Elizabeth M. Jun 2011
It was great, I love that it came with 3 bikes, helmets and a bike trailer for the kiddos. The pool passes were great too...we used them a few times despite the snow and weather conditions!
David and Kim L. Aug 2010
The only negative was the water dripping down from the upstairs AC onto the deck - but we had a fantastic stay thanks!
Alan S. Jul 2010
Nice place to stay in Sunriver...very close to everything!
