The neighborhood:
Maui Banyan sits in the heart of South Kihei with Kamaole Beach Park II directly across the street. The beach is known for swimming, snorkeling, and an easy sunset on the sand, while the nearby Kamaole beach parks offer a change of scenery without a major drive. South Kihei Road keeps restaurants, coffee, rentals, and quick grocery runs close. Families can make the beach the default plan, then come back for the pool, tennis, or a barbecue when the sun gets high.
Getting around:
Kahului Airport (OGG) is about 20 to 30 minutes from Kihei. A rental car is recommended to enjoy the beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along Maui's south shore. Some areas near South Kihei Road are walkable for dining and shopping, and beaches may be close by. Parking is typically available at properties, in lots, or along nearby streets, depending on the location.
