This charming Hood River vacation rental was designed with fun in mind, offering an unbeatable downtown location and stellar amenities that include a private hot tub and game room! Pencil in some time on your calendar for an outdoor adventure with family or friends along the beautiful Columbia River today.

Azusa House is ideally located on the main block of downtown Hood River! You're within walking distance to a spa and family-friendly eateries and breweries, yet conveniently within reach of outdoor recreation.

Meal prep will be a breeze in the well-equipped kitchen with a spacious island and convenience appliances (including a dishwasher). When it's too hot to cook, fire up the gas grill outside for a barbecue. Guests can choose from a casual seat around the bistro table for four or grab a chair at the formal table featuring room for eight.

The fun continues outside on the covered, wraparound deck complete with your very own hot tub! Please keep in mind, however, that there is a 10 p.m. quiet time so as not to disturb the neighbors.

Just outside your door, you'll find fantastic eateries, shops, and more. Indulge in tapas at the Sixth Street Bistro & Loft or plan a date night at Three Rivers Grill. Treat little ones to a cone at Mike's Ice Cream, then treat the adults to brews from Full Sail Brewing Company and Double Mountain Brewery - each within blocks from home!

The Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area offers fantastic views of the river basin and you can launch your stand-up paddleboard or kayak at Hood River Waterfront Park. The region is best known for windsurfing but outdoor enthusiasts of all varieties visit the river banks for sailing, mountain biking, and hiking. By snowfall, Mt. Hood is a short drive away offering Nordic trails, snowmobile country, and alpine skiing at Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort, just 35 miles away.

Our group of 5 old HS Friends thought the house was the perfect size, and the location couldn't be beat. We also enjoyed using the hot tub one night.
Anzhelika m. Nov 2021
We loved the location of this home! So close go all the little shops, cafes and restaurants.
Rebekah H. Nov 2021
Perfect location for a girls weekend! Walking distance for shops, wine tasting and the river. Plenty of space and comfortable beds. Only downside is house needs some updating
Kristin R. Oct 2021
We knew that this house was centrally located but didn’t realize until we got there just how central is was. Very easy walking distance to many great shops, wineries and restaurants right on Oak Street. The house could use a little TLC but overall a great space. We will definitely be back!
Jessica A. Oct 2021
Amazing location. Easily walkable to the major areas of town. Hot tub was great and kept very clean. House was a little dated but lots of space. Easy communication which was great for check in and check out.
Keith D. Jul 2021
Perfect HR location. Plenty of space and well appointed.
Kelly K. May 2021
We loved the close proximity to downtown Hood River, the hot tub and the bedroom spaces. The bathrooms need renovation as the counter height is the main bath is suitable for 5 year olds. Hot tub space needs help, some simple towel hooks would be an upgrade.
Manager response:
Hello Kelly,Thank you for staying with us! We are so glad you had a great time! We take guest feedback seriously, and have forwarded this information to the local staff so they can review and update the home as needed for future guests. We will be sure to follow up with the appropriate parties regarding your experience. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again soon!

The house is spacious at a great location with a beautiful view of the Columbia river. We enjoyed the hot tub and all the other amenities. The master bedroom has a great view. However, it is too bright. Also, the other bedrooms are facing a busy road, so it can be loud at night.
Scott P. Jan 2021
Tons of room in this place. An older house with plenty of space to spread out.
Lina R. Dec 2020
Spectacular Columbia River views especially from one of the spacious upstairs master bedrooms. Large roomy home with plenty of space for a large group to gather together or to break up in cozy private areas. A plus for a multi family stay. Multi function office/work out room. Internet may have been a little spotty. The kitchen was fully stocked and very roomy. I was surprised by and appreciated the large dining room table beautifully decorated for Christmas with the Christmas flair in the kitchen also. Vacasa was very immediately responsive when I had trouble utilizing the lock box upon arrival. The lock to the back door could use some maintenance. Vacasa was also incredibly responsive in delivering very efficient and cozy space heaters/portable gas fireplace when the gas went out over the entire town! If you are looking for soundproof you will be disappointed but this was not a problem for us during our stay. The living room furniture was ample and comfortable all be it noticeably worn, but didn't detract from our enjoyment! The hot tub was a highlight and very much enjoyed! I would definitely recommend and would return for a future stay.
Shawn M. Sep 2020
We loved this house for the location, right next to downtown, and for its character! Lots of space for kids to disappear into adjacent rooms, and for the families to spread out. The kitchen was heavily used, and the hot tub was used every night. No complaints during our time there.
Karey S. Aug 2020
This house has a fantastic location. Easy walk to restaurants and libations. My teenage boys were happy with the proximity of the skatepark too.
The house itself is well-equipped. Plenty of plates, cookware, etc for a big group. The decor is bland and could use a little sprucing up, but the house was clean and the beds we're comfortable. We would stay again.
Bonus is the grill and foos table on the fabulous deck.
Kayla L. Aug 2020
we had a friends wedding to go to, it got canceled but we all decided to stay and it was such a great location, righr next to down town hoodriver near the shops, house was cool and had a nice foosball table and hottub. Only issue we had was pervious tenant didn't take out the trash. All and all amazing stay
Alexander M. Jul 2020
I never thought I'd find a place with that good of location that could hold 8 people. Would definitely rent again.
Monica L. Jun 2020
Plenty of space for our family of 7. Comfy beds and well stocked kitchen. The porch and BBQ area were nice as well but could use some seating so you have a place to hang out during the day. Nice to have parking so close to town.
Raelene G. Jun 2020
Our family came together to rest and play for a few days. The home is lovely with everything we needed. We needed heat the first night and AC the third night. Every room could be adjusted for maximum comfort. All of the beds were very comfortable. 10 people were not cramped at all.
Chloe C. Feb 2020
Lovely older home close to everything. Lots of space and enough room for all our Girlfriends to have their own bed. Only reason i gave it a 4 star is because since it's such a large home, it takes quite a while to warm up. We were there in the winter and it seemed every morning was freezing and took some time to heat up. Also it's located directly on a busy street so earplugs are a must for those light sleepers. Overall, we had a lovely stay. Enjoyed the hot tub and the stocked kitchen.
Shannon C. Nov 2019
The house was just perfect! Great location, beds were amazing, kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of room to lounge around and visit!
Jason J. Nov 2019
Our crew had a blast celebrating a birthday and check out Hood River.
Elizabeth D. Nov 2019
The house was perfect for our needs, and the view from the back bedroom was amazing! So close to everything that we ended up walking everywhere. Would definitely rent this house again!
Shelley C. Oct 2019
This was the perfect get away for 3 families. Enough space for everyone and the house was great. Had everything we needed and the beds were super comfy!
Josh W. Oct 2019
Probably the closest house to downtown hood river. Tons of parking. Nice house as well.
Catherine L B. Sep 2019
We booked this house for our honeymoon and it was awesome!!! Lots of room, great kitchen, and the hot tub was a huge bonus. It would be a perfect house for a family holiday. It is also in a beautiful part of town and Bette's Place down the street has amazing food!
Megan L. Sep 2019
We had a great stay at this house. A ton of space and lovely hot tub. Great location as well. Would stay again!
Mary P. Aug 2019
This home is updated and well maintained. We enjoyed our close proximity to downtown shopping and restaurants.
We had a great mini vacation.
Jodi Rae R. Aug 2019
Plenty of room for 6 women, beautiful views of the Columbia, comfortable furniture, well stocked kitchen, loved the hot tub! We all really liked this house! I would love to stay here again.
ANITA H. Aug 2019
- Awesome location - you are within walking distance from all the shops and restaurants, and just a little longer walk to the beach but keep in mind that the house is uphill form nearly everything so it's a little challenge after a few drinks. Good exercise though!
- Lot's of beds and the ones we used were clean and comfortable. I check all the mattresses before we "move in".
-The cleaning crew did a very good job.
- Well equipped kitchen. There is even a waffle maker in the cabinet.
- Clean and well maintained hot tub - you need it after a day of hiking, eating and drinking , then walking back to the house!
- Clean towels everywhere!
- Customer service was great and so was Jeff in Maintenance who found out what was wrong with the air conditioner.

-Carpet tacks at most of the thresholds come through and were quite painful when you stepped on them. Good thing we had band-aids with us.
- Unfinished floors in the basement and where the hot tub is. There's a work around - you can go out the second floor landing and walk down the outside stairs instead but even a runner placed through the basement would be nice.
- One window in the kitchen was missing the blinds - not much privacy there so we hung some towels up.
- We couldn't find the ping pong paddles. Maybe it's there and we just couldn't find them.
- There were only TWO rooms (bedrooms) with window air conditioners, and neither were in the master bedroom with the view. It was really uncomfortable because it was over 97 degrees the days we were there. At least there were two big fans we could use.
- One of the window air conditioners leaked into the room and soaked the carpet about 5 feet out from the window. I called and Jeff from maintenance was great and very responsive.
- The single bed in the bunk bedroom had pet hair on the sheets. Would not have seen that except that was one of the rooms with the a/c.
- Window air conditioners were installed using duct tape and plywood. Yikes.
- There were several missing wall art/hangings. Not really a big deal and it could have been a previous gust took it with them but it's not so pretty to just have hooks on those bare walls.
- The grout around the tub needs to be redone. It's black in parts.
- Tons of spider webs in the windows between the glass and the screen. We wouldn't have opened them except it was really hot.
- The bedroom with the full-size bed had a lamp that was missing a lampshade. We found it in the closet, but it was broken so we had to use the overhead light.
- The shower set up for the upstairs bath is an unusual one that none of us have ever seen before so it would have been good to know how to get it to work. It's a ring on the bath faucet that you pull instead of a lever. Since I was already in there, I had to take a sit down shower using just the faucet. Not the end of the world but not awesome either. LOL

We loved the location and the cleanliness but it was not worth the money paid due to the issues I listed.
Manager response:
Thank you for leaving such a thorough review for us, Anita! The property manager will be getting strips to cover the carpet seams as well as blinds for the kitchen window facing the street. The ping pong table is not advertised for guest use due to late night use that leads to complaining neighbors. The leaky air conditioner was fixed during your stay, the tub has been re-caulked, the lampshade has been replaced, and the only window with webs at this point is an inaccessible basement window. We hope to see you again!
Ryan C. Jul 2019
My group of 7 loved all of the amenities of the home. It was spacious and comfortable and perfectly located for walking to downtown Hood River.
fred m. Jul 2019
Good family house with rooms to spread out in and be comfortable.
Mike M. Jul 2019
First, it's a great location- very close to downtown, just a short walk - which is important because parking downtown is limited. More than enough parking space is available at the house, though. The house has plenty of room for guests and an ample sized kitchen with everything you need for cooking.
It had a nice big island in the middle with another small table in the kitchen in addition to a large table in the adjacent dining room. We had the master bedroom upstairs that had large windows all around - with an incredible view. And the mattress was very comfy. The configuration was a bit odd - we had to walk through another bedroom or office to get out of our room. But it still worked. I loved our bedroom.
There was a ping pong table, but it was 'out of order." Instead, there was a foosball table (warped though) but we still had fun with it. Some guests used the hot tub - which they enjoyed.
The furniture and carpet could use some updating. The only complaint was the bathroom and kitchen floors were not cleaned thoroughly- maybe there was a quick turnaround on guests and it didn't' get done though. There were plenty of towels and toiletries if you don't want to bring your own shampoo, etc. Also, an iron, steamer and ironing board which came in handy. Getting in and out of the house was easy using the lockbox with code.
Peggy M. Jun 2019
Great location and had all the amenities we needed. Wonderful accommodations!
Christina M. Jun 2019
This house was a great place to stay. It was beautiful and housed everyone in my group perfectly. Plus, it was a great location and super close to town! I would highly recommend staying at this place. We will visit again in the near future!
Morin L. Jan 2019
We loved the big kitchen, puzzle table and game tables, music in living room and sports in the second t.v. room, cool architecture and wonderful hot tub!!
Cristy A. Jan 2019
Will rent again, great location.
Jim and Mary D. Jan 2019
Beds were very comfy. Tons of extra towels and linens. Easy walks to shops and restaurants. Kitchen was well stocked, but couldn’t find measuring cups... just me? Bummer that the ping pong table is going away. Hot tub wasn’t locked when we got there..
Barbara B. Nov 2018
Loved the craftsman style house and that there was lots of space for all that came to stay. Plenty of sleeping areas for all, could have been more bathrooms for the amount of sleeping offered. Master bedroom had great view.
TVs in 4 rooms, but unable to get them all to work properly either because of missing remotes, wireless network not working properly, etc.
Connor C. Sep 2018
Very good location walkable to anywhere in Hood River. Spacious house as advertised.
Derrick B. Aug 2018
A remodeled older home. Very clean and livable. Ample parking and the location can't be beat. An easy walk to everything in Hood River.
Bill S. Jul 2018
This home is on Oak Street, the "main drag" of Hood River. It is within walking distance of downtown and most of the restaurants.
Yaling F. May 2018
The house is really comfortable for family or friends to stay, nice beds. Nice location to surrounding hikes, walking distance to restaurants. My friends and I love it!
We did not use hot tub since it's downstairs, would be more useful if at the same level on first floor.
Stacey A. Jan 2018
This home is bigger than it looks! Bedrooms are huge! Lots of space for families/groups to gather.
Kristine B. Jan 2018
Convenient location, house was perfect for our gathering and the hot tub was a bonus.
Wendy P. Dec 2017
We loved the out door ping pong table and hot tub! Although with our large group of rambunctious mostly 20 ish year olds it was hard to keep the noise down after 9 pm! Great place though!
Jay D. Nov 2017
nothing else to say
Stephanie S. Oct 2017
We sent a separate email this morning to explain some concerns on this home.
Paul And Sharla M. Oct 2017
This is a beautiful home in a beautiful location. There is a lovely view of the river from the back of the house on the deck and it is located in a nice and quiet neighborhood. It is also very close to town where there are great restaurants and other things to see. What a great area for a family trip. Even though we were there for a funeral we would definitely come back for recreation and relaxation.
Breanna M. Oct 2017
Our MOMS Club had our annual get away weekend here and it was great. All the essentials, tons of space, comfortable furniture and Bevan more then enough linens...extras like Wi-Fi, Netflix, Hulu well as tv in multiple rooms, even a gaming system in one room. Tons of parking and close enough to walk pretty much anywhere. The history of the house was interesting to learn. We will visit again.
Sam W. Aug 2017
Location couldn't be better. Access to downtown is an easy walk. Be respectful to the surrounding neighbors! Sounded like there had been some less than ideal renters at the property in the past. The neighbors are lovely people, and quiet hours should be honored. Overall, the house is fantastic and we will surely return.
Megan O. Jul 2017
Overall, this home was large and exactly what I wanted and needed for my stay. Location was great and I would stay again, for sure!
Eileen F. Jun 2017
Very charming large house. Lots of stairs, but nice room sizes! Two living rooms were nice as well as multiple televisions. Very close to downtown and fun activities. Hot tub was great as well as the ping-pong table- kept the kids occupied for hours. Kitchen needed a few more items- measuring cups and electric griddle would have been nice- matches also to light the finicky gas grill. Don't even consider sleeping on pull out couch bed. You might fall through as the frame is broken. Beds were very comfortable though. Easy check-in and out with good instructions on e-mail.
Manager response:
We are glad to see this guest enjoyed the home for the most part! We apologize for the state of the sofa bed. At this point we are unsure of how to fix it, but we do know it works for sleeping if guests lay their heads on the opposite end. The gas grill lights up right away with the electric ignition on it. Thank you!
Sara M. May 2017
My large family really enjoyed our stay in the Azuza house. It is right in town and we enjoyed walking around. While there is some road noise at night we didn't find it to be too excessive (and a white noise machine helped the baby to sleep). There were plenty of beds for everyone and they were quite comfortable. The furniture is newer, the kitchen is nice (though could use a few more kitchen towels) and the dining room is spacious. Lots of TVs and my older children loved the ping pong table and foosball table on the porch. The house could use a deep clean but overall we were very pleased and would recommend this house to others.
Kelly K. Mar 2017
House is big... well furnished and literally in downtown Hood River. Fortunately it gets very quiet in this part of town at night so you wouldnt know you were pretty much in down town.

That neighbor lady though.... shes a dandy. SMH
Elise B. Feb 2017
This house was in the perfect location, we could walk pretty much anywhere!
Scott V. Jan 2017
Unique home layout with lots of room for the family.
Liz B. Nov 2016
Thanksgiving at Azusa House was great--- plenty of room and much-appreciated entertainment (Netflix, table tennis, football, game system, hot tub). We loved the ease of walking around town and felt that the off-street parking was more than adequate.
Julene C. Nov 2016
Great location
Craig K. Oct 2016
Angela H. Oct 2016
This house is located right int he heart of downtown Hood River. You can walk to many great restaurants, bars, and excellent boutique shopping.
Michael P. Sep 2016
Easy walk to downtown Hood River.
Nicole G. Aug 2016
Wonderful home beautiful in the heart of hood River. Walked to double mountain and wine tasting rooms.
Amy A. Aug 2016
The house is walking distance of all downtown but doesn't feel like it when you are there. It is well furnished- everything you need but nothing unnecessary that you have to worry about the kids breaking. Only one room has AC, but if you leave the doors open upstairs during the day it keeps it all cool. We were there during hot weather but the house stayed pretty cool. Tons of parking and everyone loved the ping pong table.
Emily T. Jul 2016
Great location, comfortable beds, plenty of space and lots of fun amenities!
Vicky A. Jul 2016
This home is great for family get-togethers! The large kitchen was awesome w/lots of cooking utensils, pots and pans. The location is close (on foot) to everything in downtown Hood River! There is some street noise so bring earplugs to sleep if that's a problem for you. We will definitely want to return here on our next family outing to Hood River. Beautiful home, great pride of ownership!
Amjad K. Jul 2016
The azusa house was an amazing experience. We stayed in the house with a group of 5, sometimes 6 and it was more than enough. Internet did give some problems but being on vacation it wasn't our biggest problem. And also when I contacted the regional department about it they were very quick to respond.
The house has a great ping pong table, hot tub, big TV in living room, little game room with Xbox 360.
What I really liked was the location, it's located on oak Street which is a main street in hood River downtown, however it is in a more relatively quiet area so there is some privacy. Would definitely come here again 5/5 stars
Elizabeth D. Jul 2016
Great place to stay. Very clean. Within walking distance to downtown.
Brittany M. May 2016
A great rental with THE BEST location!
Angela S. May 2016
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We visited Hood River for my sister's bachelorette party / bridal shower weekend. Everyone had a great time. The house was in perfect order when we arrived. The hot tub and ping pong table were a nice plus! I've already had friends inquire about the house based on pictures we posted. It is a gem!
Cynthia M. Mar 2016
I would definitely stay here again. No complaints. Comfy bed, clean and great location.
Margaret F. Mar 2016
We enjoyed the location, the many rooms and the well equipped kitchen.
Karen S. Feb 2016
Great location!
Ariel C. Feb 2016
Lovely location, easy walk to the main strip in hood river. Besides a touch of road noise the house was quiet and cozy.
