A total of 65 ski runs for all skill levels are located just across Highway 26 at Mt. Hood Skibowl, while Timberline Lodge is famous for its 3,690 vertical feet and a gorgeous Depression Era lodge.

But try not to neglect the warm summer months, when you'll find one of the most spectacular views of Mt. Hood in the reflective waters of Trillium Lake less than four miles south. It was very roomy and had everything we needed. It would have been awesome for large groups (multiple bedrooms on multiple floors and who doesn’t love lofts?) but also great for any family. Cute decor and very close to mountain and town. Definitely worth it to have a great time.

Nice furnishings and well appointed. Comfortable beds and great location right in Government Camp. Nicely updated.
In general a good house, just a few problems with a shower and the internet.

Unfortunately this condo was quite dirty and outdated. Needs improvements to the dryer vent, old furniture and carpet, small kitchen with random and disorganized items, garbage can broken, just to name a few. Feels like your in a cave, which on the plus side was helpful during the hot summer.
Manager response:
Thank you for staying with us, Kelly. The dryer vent and trash can are repaired. The homeowner has plans to remodel, including replacing the carpet and furniture, in the next few months. We hope to host you again!

If you are looking for comfortable beds, this is the place to stay. However, I did not enjoy my stay at Edelweiss Retreat. This rental has so many things that need to be fix. Most of the bedrooms' doors are detached from their frames, the furniture is very old, the carpet is full of stains, it is absolutely disgusting. The bathrooms are not very clean either, I had to called Vacasa to have the bathrooms cleaned. One of the bathroom curtain was so smelly and full of pee that I asked them to change it. We would never stay at this place again.

Manager response:
Silvia, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your stay at our home and we appreciate your suggestions for improvement. Thank you for allowing us to reclean the home during your stay to increase your comfort. We have addressed the oversights you found with our teams and have used them as a training opportunity. The furniture is old but functional. The carpets will be cleaned in the fall and we are working on the door issues. While we understand this doesn't make up for the disappointing experience, we hope the compensation we issued shows our commitment to your satisfaction and our intention to make things right. We would like to have another chance to host you in the future.

There are plenty of beds for a large party. The free parking was great. Only two bathrooms for a large party wasn't optimal, but we made it work. The place is older showing some wear and tear, but liveable. The road noise is heard all night long through the older windows. Grocery store, bars and restaurants are all walkable. It was a good value and suited our purpose.

Great place for our family. Great location, we did all our cooking, because of Covid restrictions, but the kitchen was great. Loved the coziness and all the rooms. Had everything we needed. I would love to rent it again. Thanks for a fun weekend 🤗

Very cozy and cute! Super clean and comfortable planning to stay again in the summer!

There is a ton of room in this amazing cozy apartment. Its nice and warm, and everything functions great. The carpet is a little run down, but that is because of the pet policy and our friend's dog didn't seem to mind. It would be great if the kitchen area has a light over the stove cos it was dark in that area. Overall, a good stay. Thank you for hosting us!

Tons of beds! Lots of room. Loved it. The one thing that would be nice is an outdoor green space for yard games and grilling.

We were a group of 9.
The Edelweiss Retreat Center was good for us.
In the night time and early morning the H-26 was a bit noisy
but other services compensated well.

If you wanna visit Mt. Hood,
you wanna stay at the Government Camp.
You got to drive around and see many lakes and places.

If you are a large group like 8 to 10,
This place is good choice for you.

This unit is fine for a big group that wants to ski all day and needs a bunch of places to sleep. More beds than comfortable places to sit or eat at (Ie beds for 10-12, but table accommodates 4, and the LR has seating for 5-6 - not well laid out). Everything inside was 'ok' - not real nice, not real new, but not real awful either. Kids liked the bunk room, and adjoined loft bed. Adults were happy the kids were happy, but this place looks as if it has not had money spent on the interior in a long, long time. Road noise from hwy 26 was constant if bedroom window was open, not a bit deal but this does back up to 26. Bit of a hassle finding the unit (more our problem than Vacasa's). Parking lot well maintained/plowed - made it easy to get in/out. Dog friendly. all in all an OK place, but not great.

Stayed with my son and his friends from college - 9 people total. Good overall value go sleeping arrangements. Kitchen is poorly equipped for large crowd cooking (bring own cookware) and table seating for eating is limited to 4.

Location is convenient to Gov't camp restaurants and to ski resorts.

Get a room closed off to the rest of the house if you have anybody listening to music downstairs the noise treavels very far.

This is a perfect spot for a ski weekend for a family or two. Everything you need for an enjoyable trip. Not fancy, totally utilitarian, which is perfect for skiing.

In town- walk to restaurants & more
Convenient location
Ample parking
Lots of beds
Well stocked with almost all you could need
Pet friendly
Clean enough I suppose

Needs some remodeling
Sink in downstairs bedroom looks like it was around for the panhandling era & Closet door broken
Tiles in kitchen disgustingly dirty, Place desperately needs a deep cleaning
Keys took 30 minutes to figure out (good luck-way ghetto)
Only roku (Netflix) works on tv - no instructions
Main living area is very small
Dining area seats only 4
Outside space is non-existent/unusable
Butts up against main highway (may not bother some people)
No barbecue area could be found

This is an ideal place for a budget conscious; family with lots of kids in tow, 2 small families, extended families or a big group of 20 somethings as long as your expectations aren't super high.

I like Edelweiss property and location, however what I didn't know is that the condos are different from each other. We stayed in condo #2 and were very disappointed. The place sleeps 12 but is so small that it would be difficult to share with 12 people. The master bedroom is attached to the kitchen and living room and you step into this room from the front door (they actually changed the front entrance to side entrance). The layout of the place is just odd in comparison with #5 we rented a couple of years ago which is also for 12 people but much more spacey and much more attractive. Also going from parking lot to the apartment was icey but management didn't think about doing anything about it. Two women in my group fell and one hit her head pretty badly. I would rent at Edelweiss again as I like the location but I will pay more attention to which condo I will rent.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review. We are sorry to see that this condo did not suit your needs well and that some of your party slipped on the ice. We will work with the complex management to see about taking care of icy conditions. We hope you found the home cozy and welcoming!

This unit may sleep a lot of people, however the quarters are tight. The large room upstairs was a great hangout place for the teenagers--the kids loved the lofts... :)
