Situated near the grounds of the Tahoe Donner Golf Course, this luxurious home is less than four miles from the Tahoe Donner Ski Area, only five miles from Donner Lake, and just four miles from Donner Memorial State Park.

This gorgeous two-story, chalet-style home is nestled in a copse of trees, offering optimal privacy and shade. The living room boasts wooden high ceilings, a plush and comfortable sectional couch, a gas fireplace, and a flatscreen TV. Head out onto the deck through the glass doors for an al fresco meal at twilight or a drink under the stars. You'll find a gas grill amid numerous spots to dine and recline.

Slate and pine hardwood floors extend from the spacious living room into the dining and kitchen area. An eight-seat formal dining table sits in a spot with windows to the world. The kitchen is open, airy, and modern, with all the accouterments a gourmand would need to make a chef-worthy repast. There's a three-seat breakfast bar, natural granite countertops, a four-burner gas stove, a wine rack, and beautiful wooden cupboards under pendant lighting.

Head down the hallway and you'll pass a painting of a bear relaxing in the sun. The main bedroom boasts an opulent king bed in a wood frame, a flatscreen TV, an armchair and matching ottoman, a private deck with loungers, and an expansive en-suite bath with dual sinks, a jetted tub, and a separate tiled standalone shower.

Head up the stairs to additional accommodations. You'll find a second suite with a queen bed under a vaulted wood ceiling and an attached bath with numerous towels to envelope yourself. A third bedroom has a queen bed in a lovely wood frame. A loft offers two twin beds, as well as a wicker table and chairs for game night. There's another full bath down the hall.

Spend time with the family in the spacious den with its comfortable seating, outfitted wet bar, window seats, and two twin bunk beds. There's also a half bath and a crib if needed.

Guests get a ton of amenities here. You'll have access to all the Tahoe Donner activities, from horseback riding to golf to swimming and tennis, via the Tahoe Donner guest passes. Soak your weary bones at the shared sauna and hot tub, or take your boat, docked at the Tahoe Donner Marina, out for a ride. You also get free WiFi, a washer and dryer, cable TV, DVD players, and a full DVD library. All three TVs have been upgraded to high definition (HD) smart TVs. As well, the internet connection has been upgraded to 100Mbps.

Truckee is one of the most charming towns surrounding Lake Tahoe. Ski and snowboard in the winter or try snowshoeing through the tall trees. In the summer, you can head to the lake and partake in paddleboarding or kayaking. The surrounding hills offer a wealth of spots to hike and bike and you can also enjoy a nosh or drink at one of the eateries in town.
