Dog-Friendly Oceanview Home with Rooftop Deck and Views - Steps from the Beach

This lovely oceanview Rockaway Beach vacation rental has space for up to 13 guests and four dogs, making it a great place for a fun-filled coastal getaway with your loved ones!

Located in the Nedonna Beach part of town, a couple of miles north of the center of Rockaway Beach, this home is right across the street from the beach. To get to the sandy shore, simply take a quick walk south past one house, then turn west past one more house and step right out onto the beach. While you're here you will have easy access to all the restaurants and shops of Rockaway Beach, as well as those of Tillamook and other nearby towns.

This listing includes the entirety of a two-level home. Each floor has its own separate entrance, kitchen or kitchenette, living area, two bedrooms, and a bathroom. Together, this home can accommodate as many as 13 guests. If you would like to bring your dogs with you, an additional fee applies.

Walk into the bottom level of this home to find a living room with a sofa and a large, flatscreen Smart TV. There's also a table where you can sit and enjoy a meal or play a board game or round of poker. A mini-kitchen may be compact, but it has the bare necessities of a fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker (no stove or dishwasher). There is a full bathroom with a shower on this level, as well as two bedrooms (one with a queen bed and the other with a twin bunk bed plus an additional twin bed).

If you enter the top level of this home, you will find a separate home with even more space! This section of the house also has a full kitchen, living area, and a bathroom with a tub/shower combo. There are two bedrooms in this section of the house, one with a king bed and the other with a queen bed. If you go up the ladder from the living area, you will find yourself in a comfy loft area where you can sit and enjoy views of the sea!

This home offers plenty of entertainment options, including WiFi access, a DVD player and selection of DVDs, child-friendly board games, and some books. There is also a laundry room on the lower floor, which will come in handy after a few days of playing on the beach. In addition to the bedrooms, there are additional sleeping spaces available (a futon and two sofa beds). Please note that if you're planning to visit with the maximum occupancy, 13, a few guests should bring their own sleeping bags or be willing to sleep on a couch.

The inside of this house is comfortable and welcoming, but there are also plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy! The lower level has two covered patio areas, and the upper level boasts a balcony that overlooks the ocean. There is even a patio above the garage with picnic tables and a gas grill, so you can have a fun cookout while breathing in the fresh sea air and enjoying the sunshine.

With the beach so close, you will surely want to spend plenty of time strolling along the sand, flying kites, building sand castles, beachcombing, and enjoying the scenery. Depending on the season, you may even be able to glimpse a whale! In Rockaway Beach itself, you will find a grocery store, several eateries, and some cute shops to peruse. If you would like more options, simply take a quick drive south into Tillamook and make sure you allow enough time to visit the famous Tillamook Cheese Factory!

If you drive north along the coast, instead, you will also find plenty of adventure. Go crabbing or boating in the Nehalem Bay, or bring a picnic lunch and stop in at the fabulous Oswald West State Park. This state park also offers hiking and biking trails, old-growth forests to explore, beautiful beaches with tidepools, and much more. A little farther north is the charming Cannon Beach and the popular Seaside, so you may like to take a day trip up the coast to explore the region.

However you spend your visit, you and your family or friends will love this oceanview, dog-friendly Northern Oregon Coast vacation rental in beautiful Rockaway Beach!

This is a great place to stay. Love the 2 stories great for multiple families.

We absolutely loved the charmingly decorated two story house with a loft. On the ground floor is a separate unit that worked wonderfully for our smaller family unit with their infant. While not completely soundproof the folks upstairs didn't hear the baby getting up during the night, crying, or fussing. This is HUGE and allowed the infant to sleep through the night and the parents to not worry so much! The upstairs could have accommodated many more than the four adults who stayed there. Kiddos would love the loft upstairs which has a convenient baby gate. The owners have each cupboard labeled with what is in it and have included MANY more amenities than any other beach house we've stayed in-and we've stayed in many. The kitchen was very complimentary to cooking and baking all of our meals during COVID, has spices, oil for baking and some very fun and nice bakeware. You can tell how much the owners care about guest experience and it felt like staying at your best friends beach house. Our compliments to whomever cleans the home and keeps it stocked as there were extra linens, soap, towels etc. Great leaving policies all they ask is that your wash your dishes and throw in a load of towels. VERY comfortable beds on the main floor!!! That's coming from all four of us older very sore backed folks!

This updated home was a great place to stay. It was clean, inviting and within walking distance to the beach. The beds were comfortable and a bonus hose in the back to wash off sandy children

Great location and lots of space to hang out together or separately. The fire pit was great and loved having the fenced yard.

The Good: Interesting House, Nice Backyard, Lots of Toys, Games, Cookwear. Comfy beds. Great isolated location, Easy walk to beech.

The Bad: When we arrived the trim on the kitchen window had been partially been torn off and stuffed in a cabinet. There was an outlet at child height with bare wires. These were fixed within 2 hours of reporting it.
One of our dogs found a 1" piece of glass, but was caught before he swallowed it. There was mold in one of the rice cookers which had gone weeks without cleaning. The windows in the loft were unfinished with bare nail tips exposed. More cookware was found in the trash outside. Dog hair was everywhere and a single vacuum was able to get a bunch up, indicating that despite a $150 PER DOG fee, little effort was made to clean up (Or was the last dog such a shedding monster that another round of vacuuming was needed?). Various blinds had been torn down and stuffed under couches. The refrigerator downstairs doesn't actually keep anything cold and food was spoiled by us not understanding this. There was trim with nails sticking through it that was left on the floor, causing a kid to almost impale their foot. There are no interior stairs, so don't expect a kid to walk from the kids bedroom to the king bedroom without going outside. Rust all over grill grate.

I'm unsure why that house was rented. There should not be bare wires exposed, portions of the window removed and the chance to catch yourself on nails in a rental house. The cleaning of the house was also far below Vacasa's Standards. It's likely a week of handyman work could put this house in great shape, but it was dangerous to my family when I stayed there and I will not rent this house again. That said, I have and will rent houses from Vacasa on this beach as it usually a lovely time.

Having separate spaces was very nice.

What a great place to stay! My daughter celebrated her birthday and wanted to get away to the beach. We had another place selected in Lincoln City but unfortunately the wild fires forced the cancelation. Fortunately we were able to book this home on a Friday for a stay starting on Sunday!. A very short walking distance to the beach and everything we wanted for ourselves and her two dogs. One thing not mentioned on the information for this home was the back yard is fully enclosed so the dogs could be outside to play without having to be leashed.
The community is quiet and really lovely for getting out for a stroll. I am already planning next years trip with Vacasa!

We had a lovely time at the house. We had 12 people total, with grandma, 7 grandkids, and 4 parents, and the two spaces made it very comfortable for all. Loved the big back yard and easy access to the beach across the street. The house is also located in a quiet part of Rockaway, which was perfect for our group. Would stay here again!

This was a great place for kids. It was very tidy and well taken care of. We felt very comfortable and there were many thoughtful amenities included. Everyone said their beds were comfortable with plenty of nice pillows and extra bedding. The only small, minor complaint was there was some dog hair on the couches, but that’s to be expected in a dog friendly house. We loved having the beach access so close, and the fire pit in the back was fun also! We would definitely stay there again!
Manager response:
Hello Elena, Thank you for taking the time to a leave review. We apologize there was dog hair as this is not up to the high standard of cleanliness that we hold ourselves too. We hope we have the chance to host you again in the future.

Great beach access and upper deck. Comfortable beds and easy access to many wonderful hikes, towns and beaches.
Deck was helpful with social distancing during Covid.
Bill C. Aug 2019
I loved how easy the beach was to get to for the kids. The weather was great which made the outdoor eating areas amazing.
Kevin A. Aug 2019
This house met the needs of our group. The separate living spaces worked well for our group and would work well for a group with kids. The loft was beautiful, but sometimes not usable on our trip because of how hot it became during the day. It was very clean, had plenty of space, great decks, and a wonderful fire pit outside.

El area es muy. Buena
Patricia G. Jun 2019
We really enjoyed having so much space! With the two separate entrances it gave us the opportunity to have alone time. The upstairs area was spacious enough for everyone together for meals. We ate outside on the large deck a few times and took advantage of the barbecue. All in all I would give this space a 5 out of 5! Thank you homeowners for the awesome bonding experience for my family.
Carol L. Jun 2019
I stayed with children and grandchildren. It was great to have two levels. Everyone had their private place. We had everything we needed and the beach was just across the street. We'd love to go again.
Janis F. Nov 2018
Loved this house. Well stocked with everything we needed. The roof top deck with picnic table was nice.
Michelle C. Sep 2018
Loved the second floor of this beach retreat. Steps from the beach and a seperate floor home make it idyll for a two family vacation with pets. Plenty of cooking tools to eat everything at the house as well
Lindsay H. Sep 2018
Very close to the beach. It was what it advertised. Plenty of room for the family.
Ray T. Sep 2018
Was clean, cozy , close to the beach, plenty of parking, big bbq and deck area.
Robert T. Aug 2018
The 4 bedrooms and spacious deck for eating served a large family reunion very well. The well stocked laundry and facilities were a big plus.
Olivia N. Jul 2018
Our large family was able to fit and have space while we enjoyed our lovely trip. Beach was close and the outside deck was a great area to relax together. Only things we would change is cable or add a dvd player up stairs. The kids needed to relax and we couldn't get anything to work.
Manager response:
This home does have cable, but the owner does not have any plans to add any additional DVD players at this time. Thanks!
Donald N. Jul 2018
The house was close to the beach. The beach was not crowded and was clean and scenic. The house was a good fit for our party of 10.
Andy C. Jun 2018
This home had just enough space for 15 people and 3 dogs comfortably. We loved that the home has two separate apartments, which allowed us to separate those who like to sleep in from those who like to get up and wake everyone with them. The loft area was a fun addition that some of the kids made into their "treehouse".

The home was very well cared for, had plenty of cooking supplies upstairs and the bare minimum downstairs. Everything was clean and free of sand, I'm not sure how!

The front balcony and side deck each offered plenty of lounging space, and there is also a large fire pit in the back yard.
Jamie P. Apr 2018
We LOVED the location of this house, but the cleanliness of the place was not great. We found sand in the beds upon arrival and nail clippings on the futon. The kitchen counter had ants. The garbage can was half full when we arrived. Make sure to bring things like salt, pepper, tin foil, plastic wrap, etc. Not well stocked.
Megan R. Apr 2018
My family had a great time during our stay. There were 9 of us total and had plenty of space. The layout was great and the home had everything we needed. It was very easy access to the beach too! I would definitely stay again and recommend this place to others.
Kathleen R. Mar 2018
We loved the space and the multi-level Apartments. It was great to share with families. The proximity to the beach can't be beat and the price was in our range. There were a number of details that could use some attention. Some updating on furnishings in the living rooms especially would be great. There were no major cleanliness issues, but there was some clutter especially in closets and such. We also had ants in the kitchen, no huge deal, but might want to address that. Also, the downstairs apartment could use a bigger refrigerator if it is truly to be a shared space for multiple families. Also, maybe a small dishwasher like upstairs. We noticed that a lot of the downstairs dishes had already migrated upstairs probably because people wanted to put them in the automatic dishwasher. The downstairs had coffee filters, but no coffee maker... Overall a great place for us. We enjoyed our seven nights there.
Hugo S. Jul 2015
Great location, nice neighborhood, walking distance to the beach, big enough for a family reunion and perfect for kids!
Susan F. Jun 2015
It was lovely. My friends and I had a great time. Very clean. Good location. Close to the beach.
Michelle P. Jun 2015
We had a wonderful stay. We had an all girls crew--3 sisters and the girls were 3,8,9 and 17, they couldn't have had a more enjoyable time. Thanks for the memories.
Susan L. May 2015
This home is perfect for an extended family. We enjoyed having two separate living areas. The outdoor deck also provides a nice eating area, with a grill for cooking. There are plenty of children's toys and books, and a loft where they could have their own space. Having Internet service was critical for those who had to do a little work from there, also providing shows for the children. The house is well stocked and we ate there for every meal with food we brought or picked up after arriving. The washer and dryer, dishwasher and stove are great.
