Guest access:
Guests at Shores at Waikoloa enjoy access to the shared communal pool, hot tub, tennis court and fitness gym, plus BBQ grills for easy evenings outdoors. The complex has an elevator for convenient access to units and is set along the golf course with beach access nearby. Some resort facilities are operated independently by the resort.
The neighborhood:
Waikoloa Beach Resort sits on the Big Island's sunny Kohala Coast, where black lava fields give way to warm, clear water. Anaehoʻomalu Bay, known locally as A-Bay, is the easy choice for a beach day, sunset stroll, or a paddle on calm water. Kings' Shops and Queens' MarketPlace keep dining, groceries, and browsing close, while petroglyph trails and coastal golf add a distinctly Big Island backdrop. It is an easygoing base for families, couples, and friends who want beach days without a complicated plan.
Getting around:
Kona International Airport is roughly 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive up the Kohala Coast. A rental car is recommended to reach beaches, restaurants, and the resort area's shops with ease. Waikoloa Beach Resort keeps some shopping and dining walkable, while nearby beaches and Waikoloa Village are a short drive. Parking is generally available in resort lots or on site at most properties.
