Historic, Waterfront Home with Private Hot Tub - Dogs Welcome

Experience an amazing trip to the coast in this lovely Newport vacation rental! Featuring a private hot tub, oceanfront location, and space for two families to stay here comfortably, you will live in style when you visit.

Located on the north side of town, by the Agate Beach area. Simply walk a block south and follow the nature trail to the sand, or you could drive a mile south to Agate Beach State Park and walk to the beach from there. You will also enjoy easy access to all the restaurants, shops, and activities in Newport with a quick drive a mile or two south through town.

This gorgeous home has an air of history (it was built in 1939), but is updated and has modern furnishings. With four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, up to eight guests will be very comfortable here. You are even welcome to bring up to two dogs with you, though an additional pet fee does apply.

Walk past the well-landscaped yard and garden, and step through the front door to find yourself in your temporary home. This main floor features a living room where you and your guests will love to sit and enjoy each other's company. Light a fire in the wood-burning fireplace to keep everyone extra cozy, and share stories in front of the flickering flames.

Out the window, you can enjoy marvelous views of the ocean. With a flatscreen TV tucked into the corner, you can also watch cable, or bring along some movies and use the Blu-ray player. Select one of the provided board games and organize a family game night, or access the WiFi to stay connected during your vacation.

On the main level, you will also find a full kitchen, equipped with all the necessary appliances and tools you may need to cook during your stay. Sit at the kitchen table and eat while gazing out the window at the ocean, or head into the attached dining room. With seating for eight, the dining room table is a perfect place to gather everyone and enjoy a nice meal together.

With a half-bathroom and a laundry room, the main floor of this three-level home is a great place for guests to spend time. Walk up the stairs to access the top level, where you will find three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed and gorgeous ocean views. The second bedroom has a double bed and windows that allow calming views of the garden area. The third upstairs bedroom has a double bed, and a full bathroom on this floor means nobody has to stumble downstairs to use the restroom.

Descend the staircases to arrive at the bottom level of this home. This floor has its own living space, kitchen, and another full bathroom, so this would be a great way for a couple to enjoy their own space while everyone else is upstairs.

The final bedroom, with a large bed, is located on this lower level. You will also find another laundry room, as well as a full kitchen equipped with a fridge, stove, dishwasher, and microwave, so you will have no trouble preparing meals here! A family room has plenty of seating, another flatscreen TV, and a sliding door with access to the patio and lower yard.

Sit on the patio or roam the yard area and breathe in the fresh air while listening to the waves crash on the nearby shore. When you're ready, hop in the private hot tub and let the warm, bubbling water melt away all your troubles!

With the beach so close, you will surely want to spend time walking on the sand, beachcombing, building sandcastles, flying kites, and running with your dogs through the shallow surf. If you look north along the coast, you can see the iconic Yaquina Head Lighthouse, or you could take a refreshingly long walk about two miles south to reach Newport's Nye Beach area. Just across the street from this home is the Agate Beach Golf Course, so any golfers can go ahead and book an early-morning tee time since it will only take one minute to reach the clubhouse!

Other guests may enjoy driving to the south end of Newport and visiting the fantastic Oregon Coast Aquarium and the neighboring Hatfield Marine Science Center. Afterward, grab a coffee at a cafe, or stop at the Rogue Brewery for a refreshing drink. Newport has a huge variety of amazing restaurants to choose from, whether you hunger for the fabulous cinnamon rolls at La Maison Bakery or some fresh clam chowder at the Chowder Bowl at Nye Beach.

Elsewhere in town, you will find a cinema, lots of shopping opportunities, and miles of coastline to explore. With the ocean and Yaquina Bay accessible from the marina, crabbing, fishing, and boating are very popular activities. In the region, you will also find amazing hiking and biking trails, as well as scenic ocean viewpoints all along Highway 101, so there is no shortage of ways to enjoy your visit to the area!

Stay at this comfortable and welcoming Central Oregon Coast vacation rental, and whether you spend your trip soaking in the hot tub, walking on the beach, or exploring the town, you will have a magnificent visit!

*Please note that the trail leading to the beach is a longer trail and the end of the trail leads out to a creek that can arise during the rainy stormy season. The guests should use caution in the fall and winter months.

The grounds are amazing. A basketball court! Swings that overlook the beach and ocean! A neighbor takes care of the bird feeders, so we saw fantastic birds every time we were in the kitchen. There is a great place to drink wine as the sun sets. As soon as we got to the house, my little nephews wanted to play hide and seek inside, and it really was a great house for this. The fireplace was amazing, and one of the reasons we took this place. The kitchen was fine, but could use a big soup or pasta pot, and the mattresses were comfortable, although they needed new pillows. The extra space (the living room/kitchenette on the lower floor) was nice to have for our large group. There are ocean views from almost every room. There were really only 2 disappointments with this house. The hot tub doesn't seem to work very well. It's the right temp when you first get in, but then it cools off too fast. Time for a new one. I stayed at a house in Government Camp in 10 degree weather with snow drifts around the hot tub, and that one held its temperature just fine. Also, the path to the beach takes about 5 or 10 minutes, which is fine, but then we had to take off our shoes and wade across a stream at the top of the beach to actually get on the beach. Not much can be done about this, and maybe it's fine in the dry season, but renters should know they have to deal with this or drive a little ways to be able to just walk on the beach.

The house itself was really awesome, huge and everything you need is in there, pots pans utensils the works.
The view from the master bedroom is pretty awesome, albeit could probably be better without the huge pine directly in front of it but the pine is also nice to look at, it kind of looks like a hydra wiggling its heads at you in the middle of the night! One singular problem we had was the random appearance of an older women directly outside the middle floor kitchen window changing out the bird feeders.. Luckily at that time neither of us were naked or anything but yeah if the owners gave anyone permission to the property (this woman claimed to know the owners and stated they "loved when she fed the birds"..) they really should tell her not to show up when its being rented out, it's completely innapropriate and will probably freak just about anybody out when you're in the middle of cooking breakfast and next thing you know you see somebody who has walked past the gates onto the private property and doesn't give a crap anybody is in there.. Anyways.. back to the good stuff! The house is again amazing, the yard was great and there were loads of mushrooms growing when we were there in the end of October, including a HUGE pine bolete! Cool swingset in the back next to the firepit, and a very nice looking pool that was sadly locked up. The hot tub was great, however i have to mention there was a pretty huge rat that ran past us twice as we sat in the tub, I mean the thing was like a good 10 inches long at least.. This has nothing to do with the state of the house or anything, the yard is just huge and it's not a surprise it's home to quite a few wild creatures, including an owl we saw! There is a short path behind a few houses that leads you to the beach, the only problem is during the later months the creak at the end of the path is anywhere between 4 to 2ft deep, so it's not really crossable. We had to drive down to the nearest beach entrance to get on the sand.

Again in the end the house and yard and views were spectacular! Owners just need to let their old friends know to not show up while people are possibly naked in the kitchen cooking breakfast :)

This was my first time ever booking an airbnb and I can easily say this house is definitely one to go back to. I would like to say thank you to the owners for letting people like me and my friends stay in such a awesome place. I will be renting again.
Graham M. Jul 2021
The grounds and views are phenomenal. Plenty for room to move about the yard and watch the hummingbirds, soak in the hot tub and just stare out at the beach and ocean. The basement has been updated but the rest of the house has a strange and less than ideal floor plan. Removing a few interior doors would help open on the space, but instead provide a very tight kitchen. The door used for entry is tight and enters into the kitchen making moving luggage in and out functional, but annoying. Furniture in the living room is laid out in a strange manner, none facing the ocean view window, including a tall table blocking the view from the couch.

Other issues:
-The upstairs bathroom has a bidet seat attachment that doesn't even fit
-the sink drain takes forever to drain
-stains on bed comforter
Manager response:
We have sent your feedback to the local staff for further review. We appreciate you letting us know there is room for improvement and will work diligently with the homeowner to make any updates. We look forward to hosting you for your next vacation!
Laura T. Jul 2021
The views of the ocean were beautiful and the grounds were wonderfully landscaped with many mature trees. We were disappointed that the pictures made you think the beach was just through the bushes but there’s a cliff. The house was clean and had plenty of rooms for our family of five. Also, one morning there was someone on the grounds of the house doing maintenance who was right next to the windows and was looking in which was extremely awkward. Guests should be made aware of this prior to their stay.
Manager response:
Thank you for staying with us, Laura! We are thrilled you enjoyed the home and its location. We apologize for the discomfort you experienced and will be certain to follow up with the appropriate parties regarding your feedback. Please know that our guest services line is 24/7 for any questions or concerns. We hope we may have the opportunity to host you in the future!
David C. Jul 2021
House was perfect for 2 families.
Walk to beach was a bit longer than anticipated but worth the trip.
View was beautiful.
Katie A. Jun 2021
The house is somewhat dated and has its quirks, but the yard and landscaping cannot be matched! We had four young children running around through the various trails and "hidden garden tunnels" all week long. The beach isn't quite "walk-on", but there is a neighborhood trail that bypasses main roads to allows access within a short hike. Would definitely come back the next time we have a medium-sized group.
Chelsy J. May 2021
We had an amazing time celebrating my son’s birthday. There was room for everyone and he enjoyed the hot tub. The location was really good it wasn’t far from any of the things we planned to do while we were out there.
Karen R. Apr 2021
We had a wonderful, relaxing stay. Such a beautiful house and location.
Anthony T. Mar 2021
There are a lot of things to like about this property. Extensive grounds with a variety of well-maintained spaces to retreat to or socialize and play in, including a large in-ground pool which was closed for the winter when we stayed here. The house has plenty of room, a well-equipped kitchen and tons of historic character. The biggest drawback is that, despite its oceanfront location, you can't easily walk to the beach because of there is a creek in the way. The nearby footpath ends up on the wrong side of this creek and if you are not prepared to wade across the only option is to drive half a mile to the Agate Beach parking lot. The route from the house to this parking lot is not walkable.

There are a couple of maintenance issues. Sugar ants have invaded the food preparation area of the kitchen next to the sink and were present no matter how clean we kept the counters. Also, the thermostat doesn't seem to work. The heating system kept the house at 76 degrees no matter how low we set the temperature. The heat even stayed on when we turned off the thermostat altogether.

We would rate this property 4 stars if not for the ant and thermostat issues.
Manager response:
Hi, Anthony! The heater is locked and cannot be adjusted at this time; we apologize for any inconvenience this caused. We will continue to spray for the sugar ants as this is their time of year. Thank you!
Lindsay S. Dec 2020
Charming home with beautiful ocean views. Our family of 4 enjoyed a rainy winter costal get away spreading out in this large home. The yard can’t be beat and house had everything you could need for cooking and family time reading, playing games, and doing crafts. We would definitely come back again. Great value.
Michelle T. Nov 2020
This home is quite charming! We were there during an extremely blustery and rainy weekend; however, we enjoyed lots of space, very comfortable furniture and a warm house. A huge dining room table was perfect for meals and puzzle-making. The home was very clean and plenty of parking for our 3 vehicles. We wondered how fun it would be to rent during sunnier months!
Catherine H. Nov 2020
A Large comfortable old house. It would be nice to have a place to wash sandy dog. Tried to use the laundry room sink for this and the water drained directly to the floor, flooding the room. Interesting bidet and heated toilet seat upstairs. Some cool original features in the house. There were no instructions for operating anything (fireplace, hot tub, heat, etc), so we were reluctant to use the fireplace. Adequate kitchen appliances but the toaster was broken. It was surprising to see that there was a swimming pool. Wondering if it is ever usable. Two full kitchens and washers and dryers. The basement was great but it was extremely difficult to open the door to get to the hot tub. It was mostly clean but felt like rugs were not clean.
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing your review, Catherine. We appreciate your feedback. Our guest service agents are available 24 hours a day and if any issues arise we encourage guests to let us know so that we can assist. We would love to host you again soon.
Mendy M. Nov 2020
Beautiful grounds and house. Short drive to the beach. Amazing views.
Patricia L. Oct 2020
The house is beautiful and the location is hard to beat, especially at this price point. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans but is slim on dishes. The garage is an absolute treat for unloading and loading luggage and supplies. The hot tub is old and needs to be serviced. The basement is beautiful and such a fun option for kids and adults in terms of shared space but it's a little dank and the bedroom closet is clearly taking on water. The grounds of the property are such a delight I'd love this home if it weren't on the coast and the walk to the beach is very pleasant. Our kids are 10, 10, 8, and 7 and they all loved it.
Manager response:
Hi, Patricia! We are so glad your children loved the home. There is currently an order for parts for hot tub so we can get it repaired, and we are purchasing more dishes for the home. Thank you for staying with us!
Natalie T. Aug 2020
The grounds were beautiful and well maintained.
John K. Aug 2020
Location was great, the house is old and dated. The hot tub was not clean and the temperature adjustment was broken, making it was too hot to get into if it was clean. The property also has a pool that is not mentioned in the listing which would have been helpful to explain that it was off limits to the 4 teenagers we had with us. There is also 3 marijuana plants growing and budding out right under the living room window that the teenagers discovered. All in all the property is just ok, I would choose somewhere else next time.
Manager response:
Hello John, We apologize for any issues you experienced during your stay. We encourage guests to reach out to us if there are any issues they encounter during your visit so we can have the opportunity to address them. We understand that you are simply trying to enjoy your vacation and may feel hesitant to bring forth complaints at that time. We hope to have the chance to provide you with a more exemplary stay next time. Thank you for your review. We hope to host you again soon!
Darren R. Aug 2020
The property was perfect for a summer beach getaway. The outdoor space made the property even more special. My family and I had a nice time. Will definitely look to stay at the property again.
Carol R. Jul 2020
This house was perfect for our large family. We loved the view, the walk to the beach was an adventure for the littles, and the dining room was great for games and meals.
DESTINY C. Mar 2020
This sprawling 1939 home has it's very own secret garden! The house has a great mix of old and new! The hot tub was clean and working(very important to me) As well as the fireplace(also very important to me)! There are a few small things that could be fixed that would make it a 5! #1-fireplace needs new cover rail, it's rusting out, making it hard to close & the damper sticks closed, so the livingroom fills with smoke! #2-There is a bit of black mold in the basement by the vanity. (totally understandable why it happens because it is a coastal basement, but it needs taken care of) I saw a few other reviews with this same problem. #3-/The hike to the beach was great and I love a good hike, but it needs to be stated in the rental description, that it is ONLY for able bodied persons! It is about 15 minutes downward, and would not be good for small kids or disabled people! #4-It would be nice to know when maintenance people are coming, we took this vacation to be secluded from people, and I look out the window while getting some coffee, and there is a person standing at the window! She was just filling bird feeders, but it caught me off guard! Even with these things, I loved this place so much and I would recommend it to friends and family! I would love to stay again!
Manager response:
Thank you for staying with us, Destiny! We are glad you enjoyed your stay and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We will work with our team to identify areas for improvement and repair. We look forward to hosting you again!
Becky G. Nov 2019
We loved the yard and the house was awesome... The path to the ocean was neat, just bring your waders there’s a little stream at the bottom of the trail that is probably a little above the ankle deep maybe more in spots. Totally worth it.
Hal I. Nov 2019
Beautiful grounds and a lovely home!
suzanne a. Oct 2019
Hot tub, house, gardens, everything....
Sarah K. Sep 2019
We felt like we were in a Secret Garden! Perfect lawn for yard games, lounging, and watching fantastic sunsets. Huge dining room table was home to family dinners and board games. 110% recommend. We're already discussing the next dates we'll be staying in this home.
Darryl B. Aug 2019
A large house that works for two families. Beautiful grounds. Beach access is a little hard. Pretty long walk. Views are great. A lot of stairs if you have walking problems.
Jackie L. Jul 2019
The view was breathtaking! Thank you so much for your beautiful home !
trina b. Jul 2019
This is a nice older home. It has a true garden of Eden feeling. Nice yard and hot tub. Loved hearing the ocean at night. Only downside is the ocean is close but you can’t get to it from the house. Other then that we loved it.
Rebecca W. Jul 2019
This has become our favorite hideaway on the Oregon coast. Family and friends relish its privacy, extensive gardens and lovely layout. Quaint but spacious. We like the "antique" feel, with modern amenities. Great central location for us.
Daniel W. May 2019
Trim that tree... lol. Very desirable location and house. Beautiful home
jeremy j. Mar 2019
Watching the ocean in the morning.
Leonida M. Mar 2019
Well when there's 3 feet of snow back home and you come to the beach and the sun is out all week
Eric N. Dec 2018
The home reminded us of an older home we used to live in. It brought back a lot of great memories that allowed us to enjoy our time that much more while we stayed in Newport.
Rebecca W. Nov 2018
Beach access may be challenging, but it is the space, comfort, view, hummingbirds and grounds that we most enjoy. We will return again and again.
Lisa G. Nov 2018
This was a great multi-family (or large-group) vacation house, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Unlike the experience of some earlier reviewers, we found the house completely clean and spotless - thank you! I called ahead to emphasize the importance of cleanliness. We had two criticisms: (1) This beach house has zero beach access. It's false and misleading to state otherwise. We had no problem finding the hidden pathway, but a deep river/eddy prevented us from actually accessing the beach. We're big hikers and not afraid of getting muddy. But this was simply inaccessible unless we wanted to swim. We drove down the highway for a few minutes, parked at the state park, and access the beach easily that way. It wasn't a big deal. But please don't mislead your guests into thinking they can walk to the beach. They can't. (2) Although I found the house charming and slightly old, which I like, a downside is that it makes a lot of noise. We heard every footstep, creak, sneeze or shifting of the house throughout all three levels of the house. I'm not sure what you could do about that, although carpeting on both sets of stairs would help.
Trudy S. Sep 2018
Wonderful beach house for a family vacation. This historic house, views and incredible garden were truly a delight. My only suggestion is to add queen beds to all bedrooms, the master bed was great. We will certainly be back and I am looking forward to using the grand dining room!
Livia R. Aug 2018
Kim C. Jul 2018
Walking into the home just gives a sense of nostalgia. The home is sparsely furnished but guests have everything they need in essentials. The grounds are charming with little nooks and crannies to find solitude. We sat in the backyard not only enjoying the view but also appreciating the tree coverage to help limit the strong winds. Finding the Wade Way trail to the beach was an adventure for our family. The home has a history that I do wish was noted in the information packet. Very comfortable for my family.
Kathleen F. Jul 2018
This house was inspirational from the time first time we walked in the door. Old wooden floors, original doorknobs, gorgeous landscaping, classic older kitchen and fabulous views of the ocean. Plenty of room for our family of 6, with comfortable beds and plenty of amenities, including the hot tub! Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.
Tod W. Jul 2018
It's an amazing older estate with old growth spruce and rambling grounds. The dining area, living room, and grounds were great for playing games and hanging out. It's got that older style of very separate spaces and a small kitchen. The journey to the beach is interesting (get clear instructions), and the house has some quirks and deferred maintenance, but overall we loved it.
Katherine B. May 2018
Plenty of room for everyone - we had 4 couples in the house. Beautiful views but there is NOT close/easy beach access. Not a deal breaker for me but I couldn't tell from the description whether there was or not. There is a path to the beach but it's a good 10min and not good for little kids/mobility-impaired.
Really nice to have the hot tub! Location is easy to find and no road noise despite being close to the road.
Kelly D. Apr 2018
The home was nice as pictured and it has a beautiful view of the beach. The “beach access” is actually a long walk through foresty area then through a neighbors yard. The trek down to the actual beach was very steep and once you get there a huge creek is blocking access to the beach. The creek was too deep to cross and there was no where close to actually get to the beach. This was very frustrating as it was one of the main reasons we booked the house. The home itself is nice though and we enjoyed the hot tub.
Manager response:
We apologize if the trail had some flooded spots during this guest's stay. We have checked the trail on both rainy and dry days to confirm the information on the website is correct and did find it can be a little tricky when the path is wet. We apologize for any inconvenience this caused our guests.
Jeff B. Apr 2018
Large family with friends should stay here.
Lynn R. Mar 2018
Absolutely adored this home! It was wonderful for our family of 5, {2 adults, 3 kids}. The only thing I would change is that the downstairs bed be bigger, as our 2 year old still sleeps with us, "NOT the home owners fault"Lol! The home was very clean, kitchen and bathrooms were very well stocked, overall the entire home was VERY Accommodating and extremely cozy! Our family made the decision to make it a tradition to come back every year❤
Michelle D. Nov 2017
This is a nice older home. Nice wood work and big living room with a partial ocean view (partial because of trees, but nice). Be aware that if you have a large SUV such as a Suburban or Expedition, it will be to large to park in the garage. No garage door opener or code to the garage was provided, so if you do park in the garage, you will need to enter through the side door, then open the garage door from inside the garage. The property is beach front, but there isn't direct beach access from the property. Be prepared for a hike to get to the beach. It's easier to walk or drive to the Agate Beach Access area than to meander down the path and through people's back yards. As other reviews have mentioned, housekeeping could do a little better cleaning the kitchen. We had to change sheets on one bed when we arrived. Other than that, the other beds, bathrooms, and floors looked clean. We had a couple of house/grounds caretakers show up unannounced. Between the two, they were there on four of the seven days we stayed. We have no problem with maintenance work being done, but it would be nice to be contacted so we weren't surprised when a person was seen walking by the windows.
Manager response:
The property manager has been retraining housekeeping so cleanliness issues will be less likely to pop up in the future. We will remind contracted workers to advise guests of when they will be at the home to take care of scheduled maintenance.
Nels O. Oct 2017
This is a great property with plenty of space for a larger group. The location is excellent; well within walking distance of the beach, driving distance of downtown Newport, and with easy access to several awesome local landmarks.
Robert P. Oct 2017
It's a very cool old house and a great yard. We enjoyed it immensely.
Katy K. Oct 2017
We enjoyed our brief stay at 10 NW 42nd in Newport! The house has a lot of character - which our family appreciates about older homes. The location, garden and view were spectacular and we successfully made our way down the footpath to explore the beach below. Our kids were disappointed that the hot tub was not functioning - as advertised - but we enjoyed a great game of monopoly by the fireplace instead!
Darin B. Aug 2017
It was beautiful but the trek to the beach is not for people with disabilities. It is overgrown and there are wild raspberries with thorns that scraped our legs. Other than the initial problems of cleanliness (dishes and bedding) and lack of sufficient linen and pillows and the broken dryer up stairs and very loud dryer downstairs that can't be run at night, it was an amazing experience! Vacasa had everything fixed by noon our second day and the rest of our stay was great. My favorite part was my view with a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine at night! I wish the pool had been working while we were there.
Livia R. Jul 2017
We absolutely loved our stay! It was the perfect place for 2 adults and our 5 children. The kids had plenty of yard to explore and the views and outdoor areas were the perfect setting in which to sit back and relax. The beach access is a short one minute drive down the road (we found onsite access but it was a bit too difficult with the younger kids). We booked this house for the weekend to get married in private on the beach, and we couldn't have better memories of our special day. Thank you!
Andrée K. Jul 2017
Beautiful beach fromt view! Super cool and very spacious older house! Private amd relaxing!
Robert H. Jul 2017
No one let us know they were going to be doing maintenance while we were on the property. When we got back from the beach there was people at the house doing "inspections" again no one let us know. It was dirty
Manager response:
We're sorry the guest wasn't informed ahead of time of the inspections. The owner dispatched a tech to repair the pool. Going forward, we will try to schedule pool maintenance around the guest's schedule to prevent any compromise of their privacy. Thank you.
Camille F. Jun 2017
This house was unique and adorable. I loved the space it offered. It was perfect for our family get together. My favorite part was swinging on the swing set watching the sun set over the ocean!
Tanya A. Oct 2016
Enjoyed our stay.. Wish the pool was available. Its a place with hidden gems
Walter S. Aug 2016
very nice location
Vicki R. Jul 2016
We were 2 families staying for 4 nights. The house was big with 3 levels and very homey. The best part was the yard and the view. We saw whales from the house every day. There's a great badminton set that we used and loved. Also greatly enjoyed the fire pit and BBQ. So fabulous to sit outside and enjoy the sunset and tremendous view. The house could use a bit of TLC, but overall, it was a great place to stay in a fabulous location!! We would definitely return.
Jason F. Jul 2016
I was very happy with the Whispering Seas with a hot tub property, other than the condition of the house. But the condition of the house could be fixed with minor maintenance and a good cleaning. Great location and comfortable.
Jon & Nicole B. Jul 2016
We had a week and loved it, the location is far enough away from everything so you feel like you are away but Safeway, Fred Meyer & Walmart are less than 5 minutes away....with kids it makes life easier.
Samantha W. Jun 2016
This house is amazing, backyard has a spectacular view of the ocean! beautiful house and great views threw out the house. very close to town and secluded. we would stay here again!
Rebecca G. May 2016
Beautiful courtyard "grounds" and view of beach but NO beach access. Plenty of room inside and out.
Wayne E. Feb 2016
In spite of having an ocean view (technically on the ocean but beach access is almost a mile away) and houses on both sides, the front and back yards are both super private. Landscaping was spectacular which is not something we normally notice with vacation rentals.
Perry C. Oct 2015
This was a great place to stay close to the beach and with great views. We enjoyed the fire pit and the place was clean and peaceful. Great place to relax on vacation.
Marta T. Aug 2015
The house was very charming and roomy. The yard was like a park. I probably would not stay again because the beach access is difficult and I am not a fan of the dunes you have to traverse to get the the ocean. It was comfortable and reasonably clean. A little close to 101 so you hear the traffic in the front yard but you can't have everything. If not for the beach area I would definitely stay again.

our stay at Whispering Seas was nothing short of amazing. The location, the house, the yards were kept up extremely well. It was very clean and tidy, with the exception of the sheets we had to wash. But all in all , good. The photos don't do it justice, it's even more beautiful in person. It was everything they promised. Suoer nice hot tub. We hope to come back and stay again!!!

While this house had great ocean views and the grounds were incredibly beautiful, beach access was not good. It was not only far, but arduous.

Overall a great location. The house is typical for the coast and is obvious in the process of being modernized but definitely ok to stay at in its current condition. The beach access is a bit of walk but the beach itself is really nice at that location. I would stay here again.

Our stay was wonderful! The house is beautiful and well-cared for. There are a few appliances that needs work/repair/replacement.
