Nice place for a weekend getaway. 7 ladies had a great time. We loved the fireplace and the entertainment room upstairs. We had fun at the hot tub and the pool. Drawback were (1) that dining only seats 6, no extra chairs available so we could all dine in together; (2) that paper towel only has few sheets, most places we've stayed have at least a roll of paper towel provided for use (3) the back deck wasn't clean, it needs to be power-washed as it's slimy. One of us slipped and almost fell at the back deck steps. The Bluetooth speaker inhouse is an +++ add-on, although we brought our own speaker. I booked for 10 people, but only 7 of us actually showed up and only 2 good beds were available. The sofa bed didn't have a mattress and was broken. There was garbage left and the sink had dirty pizza pan when we arrived. There's nice diner close by where we had dinner and few booze. Overall, twas a nice time.

Super layout, some nice modern amenities and overall very comfortable place to relax. Highly recommended.

The house accommodated our group of 9 very well (3 adults, 2 young adults and 4 pre-teens) and we were able to prepare all our meals in the kitchen relatively well. Lots of room for garbage and the hot water was extra hot which allowed for all those showers! I was very impressed with the Vacasa help team for all our little questions. My only disappointment was that we could not check in early and had to leave early because of "COVID requirements" and I can accept that, BUT the house was not cleaned very well. We did arrive about an hour early and although the house was ready for us, we were not allowed in before 4 so we had to hang out in the driveway which worried me that we were bothering the neighborhood. Over our 2 day stay I found a pair of women's boots in the hallway closet and 3 empty wine bottles on the kitchen counter waiting to be recycled!
Manager response:
We are extremely disappointed to read we missed anything related to cleanliness and wish you had called to let us know. The property manager will discuss this with the housekeeping team. Thank you!

This house was perfect for our group. It’s very well set up and laid out. Great for larger groups, we had 10. Already looking forward to renting again!

Great location and wonderful home.

Great having access to the pool & spa @ the resort. House is good sized for the 10 of us, nicely equipped kitchen, but the mattresses/springs on fold out beds need serious attention, adding the flat boards & foam pads DID not help. It would’ve been horrible had older adults been trying to sleep on them. Had 16/17/18 yr olds & 2 kids on one. Big TV in upstairs room would’ve been awesome if the volume worked on it not just on Netflix channel!!
Manager response:
Thank you for your feedback, Pam. We have addressed your comments with the local staff. The TV sound can be fixed by restarting the digital box. The local staff also replaced the Wave Cable Box. They are also addressing the dishwasher. The airbeds are not available for guest use and have been removed from the home. We hope to host and impress you in the future.

Great location on the golf course and easy access to amenities. Will stay here again

We were in the area for a conference at the main hotel. It was just perfect for the 5 of us. An easy 5 minute walk to the main lobby, and had all the utensils we needed to be able to cook our own meals. Plenty of towels and amenities!
Andrea N. Feb 2019
The house was wonderful, would definitely recommend staying here!! Was the perfect place for our birthday getaway!!

My family and I stayed here & it was a perfect home for us! They were very helpful & had a binder of what to do or not to do with the house & attractions around the area.

Overlooks golf course. Lots of deer to see out window and less than 1 minute drive to resort at the mountain. High ceilings. Kitchen well equipped.
Shawnalee A. Dec 2017
Pros: Overall a great location. Nice & bright.
Cons: The upstairs tub with jets was not clean -when we filled the tube and turned on the jets, debris came out. Also not all the jets work properly.
Two of the burners on the stove in the kitchen didn't work well.
One of the pull out beds was in horrible condition. The base was broken so even with the slip in boards there was no way to support the mattress -which was also in terrible condition.
Manager response:
We appreciate receiving this feedback and apologize for any disappointments this guest experienced. We have followed-up with housekeeping regarding properly cleaning the jets. We have inspected the stove and found all burners to be working. We do have one sofa bed that is not usable for guests as a bed, but it is still in the unit since it is usable as a couch. We will be sure to explain this more clearly in the information guests receive prior to checking in. Thank you!

This condo was such a great retreat to get away for a few days and enjoy nature. It was very clean, they provided wood for a fire, all the amenities of home!! So cozy, very quiet and even saw deer in the backyard!
Myna D. Jun 2017
With the improvements noted, this is a great property and in the heart of lots of recreational opportunities.

Great home and comfortable master bed.
Jay K. Jan 2017
Took the family to the Mt. for some tubing at Ski Bowl. Great time at this perfectly located home on the golf course covered in snow. Watched deer on the course while bbq'ing on the back covered deck! Would stay here again for sure!
Danika M. Jan 2017
There were stains and markings all over the walls in almost every room. It was disgusting. The queen bed wasn't a bed, it was more of a foam bed. My husband and I couldn't sleep on it together because it was so uncomfortable. I slept on the floor and he slept on the couch down stairs.
Manager response:
Your feedback is very appreciated. Our local operations manager was able to visit the home and verify that the home had been cleaned. All of the walls have been thoroughly wiped down and show no markings. In addition, the queen bed is a memory foam mattress that is in very good condition. We hope to get the chance to host you again soon!

We spent a couple nights here Thanksgiving weekend and mostly enjoyed our stay. The location is beautiful and quiet, yet close enough to a few decent stores if you forget something. Very close to lots of hiking and all the outdoors stuff you can do on Mt. Hood.

The downsides: the TVs are old. Really old. We hoped to hook up our modern devices to be able to stream movies in the evening, but there's no way to do that with such an old TV (no digital inputs). So that wasn't great, but fortunately we had various options to choose from that we brought (board games, books, etc.).

The bigger problem was the smoke from the fire. When we first arrived, we could immediately tell that the place had been smoked out before - the smell of wood smoke was obvious. We started a fire that night anyway, but that turned out to be a mistake as the smoke didn't properly ventilate through the chimney completely. This became really bad when the fire had mostly died down but was still smoking some. Apparently without the heat of the fire to push it up the chimney, all the smoke just drifted into the house. Anyway, I don't know what needs to be done - maybe a chimney sweep or maybe the whole thing is poorly desiged? We didn't do any more fires after that first night. Big negative to all this: pretty much all our stuff came out smelling like smoke.
Manager response:
We are sorry to see that the fireplace caused some issues during this stay. The Property Manager has provided explicit instructions on how to use the fireplace, including flue operation, so we can avoid this situation in the future. We have suggested to the owners that new TVs be purchased. Thank you!

Great location, very relaxing environment, close to hiking trail.
Genevive B. Jun 2016
This was a nice, clean, comfortable condo in a good location, but a little far from Portland..
Nancy G. Apr 2016
Our weekend had 8 adult women. We found the 2 beds comfortable but the hide a beds upstairs not. Both need a cushion or layers of blankets to soften and quiet the springs. Both of those couches look pretty new but not comfy as the beds. The fireplace did not draw well. No fire kindling and/or fire starter material. No axe to chop smaller. Need to bring fire starters or paper. Once the fire got really hot, it drew up the smoke but not entirely. Needless to say we only had fire first night. We got to the house and it was 50 degrees. It was warmer outside than in. Hence why we started a fire. Chimney needs a cleaning I think. The place could use an interior painting soon. Lots of marks and such things on the walls. The banister gave one a big sliver because of ragged edge. Needs sanding. One bathroom could use some attention and update but is still functioning fine. The lack of tv in the living room is a bit odd, but we were OK with it overall. We cooked all weekend in and the kitchen and found it was well equipped. There were no golfers on the course (either closed or private, not sure) and a gorgeous weekend so we liked being outside in the back in the quiet, peaceful area. Not a big deck so we sprawled into backyard area. Worked for us and enjoyed being notified of late checkout option which we did. Did not leave til 3pm+ to sit and enjoy the weather in back of house. We liked the nature trail across the street for a mile walk. There were people in the connecting duplex but did not hear them. Overall, some little things but we would rent here again. Thanks for sharing your rental in Welches.
Manager response:
We appreciate hearing about your stay and will advise the owners of your suggestions for improvements.
Susan W. Mar 2016
We have stayed in this home several times when visiting Welches. It is warm and inviting for our family. We love the large living room with the large sectional and the grand fireplace in full view, perfect for resting and reading a good book. If you would rather snuggle up with a blanket and an old movie the movie room upstairs is the ideal place, but you must bring your own. At last, but certainly not least...waking up to the beautiful trees and a view of the golf course is the best!
Lisa H. Mar 2016
The Resort at the Mountain area is a great get away from Portland. In the summer the golf, pool, and hot tub are a bonus. We found in the winter the pool was too cold and the hot tub was not hot.
Marie C. Jan 2016
Lovely location, beautiful surroundings, perfect for family and friends
Sue B. Jan 2016
This was a nice house, good location, use of community pool/hot tub, reasonable price and with enough room for 10 we had a good weekend.
Martha S. Jan 2016
We had a good time! Lots of towels and toiletries. Adequate bathrooms. Comfy master bed but not so much the other ones. Pool was nice but got really icy outside the pool and kids were slipping and sliding when they got out. Hot tub needed some work, jets were shooting all over. No one around the pool area to check on things.
Thomas R. Sep 2015
The location is beautiful. The townhome is nicely furnished. There were only two issues we encountered during our stay. The first was when we arrived we were looking for extra pillows for the beds and we were able to find three, but the pillow cases were put in the linen closet wet and had begun to mildew. All the towels and pillow cases we had to rewash to use. The other issue is that the kitchen had a very limited supply of dishes and silverware , so after every meal we prepared there, the dishwasher had to be run for the next meal.(Only 4 adults stayed at the townhome)
The iron if there was one, is no longer in the townhome. And it would be great to have a TV in the main family room, it is not easy to go up stairs to the den to watch the TV.
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing your review and your feedback. We have passed your comments to our property manager who will work to make the home more comfortable for future guests. We hope you enjoyed your time in Welches and thank you again for choosing Vacasa.
James & Linda T. Aug 2015
Clean, well-decorated, and roomy. Really nice place to stay and we enjoyed ourselves very much. Great location for getting to lots of hiking spots in the area. Also close to restaurants and stores if you want to cook.
Sharon U. Mar 2015
The Fairway House was a little smaller than what appears in the picture, but overall with 10 people we were quite comfortable and happy with our stay. There was enough sleeping area for all of us; just remember that the late niters should sleep outside in the loft and living room, b/c those are the open areas. The convenience was great. We were outside the more "touristy" area, but close and easy access to Mt. Hood and all of it's activities. We were also really happy with the market and gas station right down the road from us. The Vacasa staff was great and available till late into the night to answer even simple questions. Can't beat it for it's value and comfort.

Good location, clean, comfortable, and quiet place.
Diana P. Oct 2014
We chose this house based on the proximity to the resort (everything is walking distance) and the fact that in photos the house looks less adorned than many others. With small children, less adored is a great feature. The house was a great size for us and felt safe, except for a large area rug that is curling at the edges which resulted in multiple trips by children and adults alike.
The description when we booked said there were 2 bedrooms plus 2 sofa beds and the house comfortably sleeps 8. When we received our check in instructions a week before our stay, the sofa beds were changed to air mattresses and our hope was that they were the high quality fairly comfortable ones. They were not. The house has 2 very comfortable beds in the bedrooms, and 2 air very basic air mattresses that you can use in extra rooms with big skylights overhead. Great for daytime, not good for kids if you want them to sleep past dawn or nap during the day.
There was a power outage at the resort during our stay. The home had one working battery-powered lantern (whew!) and one battery-less flashlight (boo). We lit a fire in the wood burning fireplace but had to put it out as the smoke backed up and came into the living room and quickly drifted upstairs to the bedrooms. The flue was open, so the chimney may be blocked and in need of a cleaning.
Still, this house was a good place for us to stay, but the fireplace needs attention and the air mattresses were disappointing.

We enjoyed several special days with our two grown children, their spouses, and our two new granddaughters. The layout of the living room, adjacent eating area, and kitchen lend themselves to good conversation. Instructions for check-in were easy to follow; we found everything clean and in good condition. The kitchen is well equipped. It was a real plus to be within walking distance to all of the activities at the Resort at the Mountain. It was important to me when I selected this home that we would have access to the resort. This home provides you with a pass. One suggestion: put a bed in the second upstairs bedroom instead of using a pullout.
Shaunna L. Aug 2014
This place is incredible. It's peaceful and beautiful! Great getaway location with plenty to do in the surrounding area.
Aaron W. Apr 2014
You can't beat the price for everything you get. The house is well appointed and the access to the resort ammenities makes it silly to rent a hotel room.
Joe G. Feb 2014
The place was in a great location if you're skiing Mt Hood. It was about a 20 minute drive to Meadows plus we took advantage of discounted lift tickets which was excellent. We lucked out and got to the place just before the biggest snowstorm of the year, but had no problem getting to and from the mountain in our SUV. A few restaurants were near by which made dinner easy. I would recommend this place to anyone trying to ski or snowboard Mt Hood.
Dina B. Aug 2013
We stayed here because our niece was getting married at the Resort. This was very close and way cheaper than renting 2 rooms there!
Rick P. Jul 2013
The whole experience was great. The property and amenities were excellent, clean, convenient and beautiful. The rental process was easy and fast. The value was well worth the relatively low cost.
Khoa Q. Feb 2013
As stated above, I rented the house with friends for an annual ski trip that I organize. I grew up in Oregon but haven't lived there in 5 years so I take this trip as my visit home to visit everyone. My occupation is very hectic with variable hours and Vacasa and the Property owners went above and beyond in working with me and my schedule. I'd just like to say thanks for that, especially because I had to plan flights as well.

The property is as advertised, the resort recreational building is maybe a 10-15 min walk, 2-3 min drive, although we never used it. House was clean and roomy, with a nice whole home audio system hidden in the closet.

Meadows is 45 min-1 hour drive, Timberline 30 min or so.

Only thing that would have been nice is more garbage bags, we cooked both nights and had alot of trash.

Overall a great property and staff, will definitely think of them again for next year.
Manager response:
We glad that to hear that you enjoyed yourselves!
Debbie Z. Feb 2013
Very clean and well stocked home. We purchased a late check out and that was wonderful on Sunday. We also contacted Vacasa to get a discount on lift tickets and they were so helpful on short notice.
Ailea V. Oct 2012
Great central location to where we were and close enough to Portland to visit there as well. Pretty property and amenities.
Dina E. Oct 2012
I felt very at home in this house. I was so impressed with all the extra's left from other guests, didn't need to bring or buy much, except food. I can't wait to stay again, my family lives close by and it was nice to have them over to my home away from home. We had such a relaxing time. Thanks again

We would like to stay again next NYE's!
